Kyle Brandt makes his Super Bowl prediction. MOUNT UP!!!
MJS replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is "mount up" a thing? Like, are we supposed to mount buffalo and ride them? -
Holy cow, are you Jackson's mother? Can't handle a little criticism for your child? Even pulling out the race card needlessly and recklessly. What a silly post.

Something to keep an eye on: Point differential?
MJS replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. And there are teams that lose a lot of close games. They buckle under the pressure. I think it's a great sign that the Bills can overcome the pressure and close out close games. Another area this Bills teams needs more experience is coming back in games where they are down multiple scores. That's next level experience and something that QB's and teams like Brady and the Patriots have experience. Mahomes and the Chiefs have also done that multiple times in the playoffs. -

In the NFL the margins of victory are usually pretty slim most of the time. Most games are decided by one score. While it is concerning a little bit, I also think that it provides really good experience. If our players are involved in really close games and find a way to win, that is valuable experience for when they are in those situations again. It's similar to playoff experience. It's tough to go on a run in the playoffs until you have some playoff experience. So, I have confidence that if the Bills are in a close game again this year, they will have the experience to draw from and will be able to push for the win. They'll be a tough team to beat. Also, last year was a pretty tough schedule. -
Per Nick Wright: Bills will be a fringe contender.

Nobody knew about this guy until he started trashing the Bills. We made his career better. Just ignore the troll. -
Wilson starts strong and then falls off as the season progresses.

They definately do, depending on how the rookies turn out.

Taiwan Jones - Elite Gunner and now Captain
MJS replied to DasNootz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just because he is oldest? I like players they chose on defense. Captain almost every year. I guess the organization likes him more than you. -

NFLPA President unhappy NFL doesn't have daily testing
MJS replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they want incentives for getting vaccinated. They might feel like players are no longer incented to get vaccinated if they have to get tested every day, and also may be fearing the backlash of players who got vaccinated because of the reduced protocols involved. But I think they should be doing whatever necessary to ensure the least disruption from COVID, and to me that means daily testing for everyone. -
Actually, I'm a little nervous about the game too. I do think the Bills should win it, but I expect it to be closer than expected and I would not be shocked by a loss. The Steelers are a good organization. Big Ben always starts out strong before his age wears him down throughout the season. Or, the Bills come out guns blazing and lump the Steelers up. But I feel like the Bills usually start slow on the first game of the season and it takes a couple of quarters for Josh to settle down. But certainly the Bills offense was clicking on all cylinders this off-season, so maybe those days are behind us and they are truly dominant now.

Bars to watch the Bills in Green Bay
MJS replied to SMAKCruiser's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was thinking bars as in, like, bar charts. I thought you were going to give us some cool data on the game. I've been working too hard. -
I get it, I just have no faith in the Jaguars organization, and Lawrence is a rookie with a bad offensive line. I just think there are probably some safer matchups.

Bold. Two bad teams facing each other.

Article: Will Josh Allen regress in 2021?
MJS replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, I expect Josh to have a better season in terms of yards and TD's, but I expect his completion percentage and other efficiency metrics to remain about the same or only slightly improve. Allen is still a QB on the rise. The Bills have a much easier schedule this year and face easier QB's. I expect Allen to tear it up this year. It's not like Allen threw for 5,000 yards and 50 TD's last year. If he had, I'd say we would likely see a regression, but he could beat his numbers from last year, especially with the extra game. He could also fumble it less and throw a couple fewer INT's. -
How Often Do You Watch the NFL Outside Bills Games?
MJS replied to Billsfanatic8989's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I usually watch quite a few games on Game Pass condensed throughout the week. I don't usually watch them live unless they are significant to the Bills in some way. I might tune in for a series or two here or there, but not often an entire game. For the games I don't watch on game pass, I'll at least watch highlights. So in some way or another, I'm consuming content for pretty much every single game each week. I'm usually up a couple hours later than the rest of my family, so that's usually when I get in my football watching. I watch a lot more that I have gotten into fantasy football a few years ago. I don't think a ton about fantasy as I am watching games, but fantasy football made me more of a general NFL fan and much more aware of other teams, so now I get more enjoyment watching other games. I used to not really know many players of other teams. Now I feel like I know most starters for almost every team. -
I expect Dawkins and Brown to both catch TD's this season. I think Spencer Brown could be an extra olineman that they can sneak through and get some catches.

I get the argument, I just don't agree that it will be a significantly greater risk than last season for the Bills. It's never possible to completely remove risk. The Bills could have some players deal with COVID-19 this year, in fact they probably will, but that's also going to happen to most teams, including the ones with high vaccination numbers. The difference between 80% vaccination and 90% vaccination is only about 6 guys. It's just not that different to make a claim that one team having a handful of guys not vaccinated is going to keep them from the Superbowl. The Titans just had a big outbreak among fully vaccinated players because they went out for dinner. These things are going to happen. The Bills followed the protocols pretty well last year and had minimal impact from COVID. I think they can do the same thing this year. They just need to follow the protocols. After their preseason scare I bet McDermott has a pretty short leash now on players not following the protocols. We'll see. That was the assumption for the entire NFL, but the vaccination rates held steady after cut downs.
