Defensive Coordinator Candidates…whose worth a look?
MJS replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's just a commonly held misconception. Some believe McDermott is bad at game management. There was an analysis posted here awhile ago that refuted that and showed that he is one of the best in just about every category besides challenges. It was Leslie's decision to take a year off. Besides, his contract was up. -
Per Shefty - Bills “expected to lose” Poyer and Edmunds

There are a lot of options at safety and linebacker in free agency this year.- 256 replies

He hasn't. He has literally been one of the best in the league. Yeah, I'm sure McDermott would be so willing to do that... -
Draft Capital, Cap Space, Restructure Capital - Bills have challenges.
MJS replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
It shows them as having significantly worse draft capital (the green line). -
Good for him. I wonder if this is premature, though. Hopefully they have an out if Geno Smith turns out to be... Geno Smith.

It's not even your opinion. He is, in fact, 31 years old.

If it was 1986 I'd be all over this. But it's 2023. Running backs just simply don't have the impact they used to. NEVER PAY THEM.

Easy to see why Chad Hall wanted to go there.

"Free Agency" and "Reasonable Price" don't usually go together.

Diggs unfollows Buffalo, follows Cowgirls 🤷♂️
MJS replied to DaggersEOD's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is an NFL wide receiver. That's the vibe. They are divas and have been for a long time. Corners are like that too, but not as much. No need to compare to Antion Brown when there are countless, less extreme examples, especially since Diggs hasn't even done anything. -

Doesn't really matter. The Bills cannot afford to move on from him. He'll be in Buffalo no matter what for awhile. Once he catches a few TD's, he'll be fine. -
McDermott wants a ‘nastier edge’ to his Defense post Frazier
MJS replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember two games it happened. I'm not going to go do the leg work of figuring out which games they were. But I'm certain you are wrong. -
Will Levis, QB, Kentucky - BELIEVE IT OR NOT
MJS replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
How does something like this even happen? I legitimately don't understand. Scream in fear from even the sight of milk? How does something like that develop? Spiders make sense because they can bite you. -

Twice at least. And those were only the times we knew about. -
Report: Dolphins exploring “moving on” from Tua
MJS replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tua and his health were clearly mismanaged. -
Daniel Jones wants more than $45M per year on new deal
MJS replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's not even worth 30 a year. He has already peaked, in my opinion. He is a game manager who can get a few cheap runs here and there. No upside at all. -
Report: Dolphins exploring “moving on” from Tua
MJS replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
First they ruin his career by letting him (maybe encouraging him) to play through concussions, then they cut him off once he is damaged goods. The Dolphins are a ruthless organization. They clearly do not have the best interest of their players in mind. -
I think Bates is fine if he is your worst starter on the line and there are better starters all around him. It's very difficult to have strong starters at every spot.

McDermott wants a ‘nastier edge’ to his Defense post Frazier
MJS replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
The defense always seemed to play much better the times McDermott took over playcalling. I would not be opposed to McDermott taking that on himself next season. He seems to understand the ebb and flow of the game better and knows when to call certain plays or when to bring pressure. -
I've always liked Ike. He is a good backup. Can start a game or two for you in a pinch. Can fill in at Center too if needed. I hope they move Bates back to LG. He even said himself that he is more comfortable on the left side. Obviously, that makes RG a big priority. What's your view of Spencer Brown? I'm hoping they bring in a vet to compete for that spot and draft someone as well. But Brown could be dominant if he develops. Wouldn't want to give up on him yet.

Well, there goes that theory, OP... Von Miller is shadowing Bills GM Brandon Bean at 2023 NFL combine

You are putting a lot of words into my mouth. I meant what I wrote and not anything else. If a fan is angry that the team didn't win the superbowl, thay means superbowl was their expectation. There are fans angry at the Bills organization every single year, which means YES, those fans DO expect a superbowl win every single year. You have to be more nuanced as a fan. Do I want a superbowl? Absolutely. Do I get disappointed when they don't make it? Of course. Do I look at specific areas of the team that need to improve? Always. Can I appreciate the succes the team has had even though they haven't gotten that superbowl yet? Yes. Do I lash out in anger and demand one of the most successful head coaches in franchise history be fired and declare that the the team is horrible and probably won't even make the playoffs next year? No, because that is unreasonable and unrealistic. Fans like that are blinded by their unrealistic expectations.

People literally find anything they can to criticize the Bills and their players these days. I'm ready for my downvote, Nextmanup.

Having an expectation of a superbowl win any year is dumb, including during the Kelly years. Thinking your team has a good chance is reasonable (if your team actually has a good chance, which the Bills do). I think a more reasonable expectation would be that the Bills win at least one superbowl during the Josh Allen era. But going into every single season expecting a superbowl win is not reasonable. Not for any fanbase. Not even for the Patriots in their prime. In fact, it's a completely unhealthy mindset for fans, in my opinion.
