Why does this team always seem like it's running on fumes?
MJS replied to T.E.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
It's called the NFL. Most games are close. -
He clearly lost a step last year and hasn't done anything this year. He is washed up. Everyone knows it.
-
Nobody is hating him. And being a "pretty good QB" is exactly the problem. He is like Kirk Cousins or Dak Prescott. Good enough to have a good regular season and get to the playoffs sometimes, but not good enough to win a Super Bowl. Not good enough to be able to put the team on his back and will them to victory. Teams with a QB like that usually have to pay them, but then never end up going anywhere in the long run until they move on.

My humble quest to watch every single NFL game this year
MJS replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can hardly stomach games without Josh Allen anymore. Most games just seem boring to me, now. It used to be that I'd watch other teams play and think, "Why can't the Bills look like this?" Those days are long gone. -
But they didn't take them in the same draft...

Nobody of note really gets cut mid-season, usually. Dalvin Cook is not a good back anymore.

Bills one of the more popular teams in all sports

I guess I see more Bills haters among Bills fans than anywhere else, haha. -
Bills one of the more popular teams in all sports
MJS replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Almost every non-Bills fan I know consider the Bills their 2nd favorite team. Most NFL fans want Josh Allen and the Bills to win a superbowl, I've noticed. Even many fans of AFC East rivals have good things to say about the Bills, although that's probably where most of our haters are too. I would guess that the Bills are least popular with Dolphins and Chiefs fans.- 45 replies

Good thing it was Nathan Peterman. It allowed us to move in quickly and go with Josh.

Hive Mind Theory Explains Bills' Recent Performances
MJS replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall
Are you saying that all the other teams are not this way? Why would the Bills be any different? -
New England is the best team in the NFL at stopping the run. They have a legit defense.
-
If they play, it is probably for like a quarter at the most. They'd be dumb to risk all their starters when they have nothing to play for.
-
That's so random. Whether we have a full back or not seems so trivial. He is basically a special teams player who comes in at FB or TE when we need him to. There are so many bigger issues. I wish we had a great #2 WR who actually causes conflicts for defenses and makes Diggs harder for defenses to deal with because they also have to consider the damage our #2 could do.

Long conversation between McD and Belichick
MJS replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
BB has had long talks with McDermott many times. I think he has a lot of respect for him. -
So how are we feeling about Coach McDermott?
MJS replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was never on the hot seat. -
Can we bring the Beasley/Mckenzie role back already?
MJS replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall
See, I think Shakir is kind of like Davis. He is an excellent 3rd option. He thrives in being the afterthought on offense. But I think we need someone more dynamic in the #2 role, and I don't see him as a dedicated slot player. I'd like to see Davis walk, draft a WR high to be the #2, bring in a good slot option, and then let Shakir continue in his current role, with maybe rotating at #2 some with the rookie to give him some more reps. -
If Brady can't untether the passing offense, he doesn't get the job next year. Simple as that. It's a passing league. We have Josh Allen and Stef Diggs, two premier passing game weapons. Figure it out. But good job on the run game.
-
Yes, the Cover 1 guys mentioned that as well. Playcallers have a tendency to over think things sometimes. I remember that a lot with Daboll, Dorsey, and now Brady, too. But I'm a firm believer in running things over and over until the defense proves they can stop it. If it is working, keep doing it. Good job by McDermott making that change.

I wish Elam was at least active. It is really feeling like that 1st round pick was wasted.

Both guys showing their true colors. They are just a couple of Neanderthals.
