I'm thinking they go off ball linebacker here. Vontae Mack's gotta be the pick. -

Rumor: Bills trying aggressively to move up for a WR in round one
BuffaloBillyG replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's his take...until it's not. More than likely whatever the Bills do (or don't do) tonight he will disagree with ..no matter what stance he had before. -
Tyreek Hill in the news....again
BuffaloBillyG replied to Bermuda Triangle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Disagree on him having a football team. Tyreek thinks of his kids more as sparring partners. -
Rumor: Bills trying aggressively to move up for a WR in round one
BuffaloBillyG replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
As per usual Schopp has no clue what he's talking about. This sets it up for him to cry when the Bills don't send the farm and do what he would like. Has more to do with sending a willing trade partner the best deal. Believe it or not...not all the teams looking to move back are willing to move all the way to 28. One thing I'm certain of. If Beane wants to make a move...an attempt will be made. He's not shy. He's also not going to be taken advantage of, as well. -
Lol...at this point we can just say that every team drafting late is really working the phones and being aggressive to move up. The teams in the middle are all looking to trade up...or back. And the teams picking early are all aggressively looking for a huge deal to move back. Unless they stay put. Everyone wants a WR. Unless they want an OL. Some teams may be open to picking where they are...but only if one or two select players are there. Or not. 🤣 The lead up to the draft is, as always, never changing. Year after year😂

The only thing I'm equally as sure of is that at some point this weekend....the Bills will end up with MJ Devonshire.

Who Is Your First Round Shock Pick?
BuffaloBillyG replied to NORWOODS FOOT's topic in The Stadium Wall
My first round shock pick would be Ruke Orhorhoro, Defensive Tackle, Clemson. -
Most Obnoxious First Round Outfit

I wanna know the under over on "sad story/passed away relative" stories we hear tonight. If it's me I'll set it at 9.5. -
McConkey would be absolutely zero surprise in that spot. He's a perfect fit for that offense IMO.

Sounds like Brandon Beane is calling a LOT of people "pancake eating mother f******" today... -
Every year someone does. And every year they lose. This year is no different. With losing as many "ST" players as we did this year his role is even more cemented for this season IMO.
-
The only thing that makes me want to keep that 2025 2nd is that it would make for excellent insurance should we need to make a move at the trade deadline to cover for injuries for a key player. Beane has made moves the last 2 years. Would also be a great asset to keep in case the rookie WR isn't quite ready and we need more help there in season. Having 2 2nd rounders is money in the bank IMO.
-
On offense Dion has been before and I suspect will be again. Of course Allen. And a dark house for me would be Dawson Knox who is respected by his teammates. I think Bernard gets the "C". Rasul Douglas is a strong favorite IMO. DaQuan or Taylor Rapp are possible on defense as well. For STs I think Ferguson gets it along with Reggie Gilliam. Mack Hollins has been a captain on multiple teams as well IIRC.

McAfee Draft Spectacular Show Featuring Bill Belichick
BuffaloBillyG replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I said this elsewhere, but feel how you want about the guy but Bill Belichick is extraordinary when discussing the game of football. No not the forced weekly pressers where he has to deal with reporters prodding him, but the actual game. I think he's going to surprise many tonight and be excellent. It's McAfee and more so his crew of assclows that I won't be able to watch. The only person that may annoy me more than them is Kyle Brandt...but it's close. -
All Gunner's Draft Stuff.... 2024 Edition!!!
BuffaloBillyG replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thank you, once again for the outstanding content and work put in, Gunner. As has become my draft night norm I'll have this thread open when the Bills get within picking range as a nice guide into what's left, what's needed and who may be targeted. While your work is always solid and well done I feel this year was a smashing success done by you. Kudos! -
Sorry, but as long as Von Miller is on the team that's just a false narrative.

Rumor: Bills trying aggressively to move up for a WR in round one
BuffaloBillyG replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sure it is. And much like college, recruiting is done in the NFL with a checkbook. Key is having an owner that isn't afraid to spend money. -
He names roughly a third of the league. Thanks, Pete.

Things aren't going well in Cincinnati
BuffaloBillyG replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll send them Von Miller and a 4th for both. -
If this was the trade that Beane made tomorrow I wouldn't be super excited. I'm not as big on Thomas as many here seem to be. But that's just personal opinion. However, there is no argument that for a 4th and only one of the 2nds next year the value is there and would make a ton of sense.

Lions extend St. Brown (4 years, 120 mil, 77 gtd)
BuffaloBillyG replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, but at least then there are viable options. Could trade him for high picks and start the WR train again. Could pay him, but even then it would take a year for the contract to kick in. Could pick up 5th year option (if first rounder) and use the franchise tag as well for a lower hit. But in any event, you're still getting those 4-5 years on much cheaper salary. -

And this is why I feel it's smart to draft the lower cost rookie WR (or 2). WR inflation is real
