  1. As much as fans want to think so there are no "easy" wins in the NFL. Yes, there are games that play out that way. However the preparation, game planning and (as we saw just last weekend) execution still matter. Those games against the Jets, they still had to plan, prepare and play against a team the overhauls it's personell and signs star players almost on a yearly occurring basis. Same effort, intelligence and planning have to take effect. In thpse games he was 3-0. My point of it being amazing how 1 game can change a narrative can be shown another way. Hypothetically, the Bills beat the Steelers last weekend. Here's the narrative: "McD is almost unbeatable on opening weekend. 4-1!!! The only time he lost was when we were retooling the roster, started Nate Peterman and had Kelvin Benjamin as WR1. Belichick or Lombardi couldn't even win under those conditions. Those days are sure over!"
  2. Truly amazing how 1 game can change a narrative. Prior to the Steelers game, using your figures this is where he was. 3-1 in openers 9-3 over 1st 3 games since '17. And as you pointed out the loss was to the Ravens in a year they started out with Peterman at QB and a ridiculous amount in dead cap. He's done all that while almost completely turning over the roster and needing to figure out what he has one opening day as well as what the other teams was doing. That's actually not bad at all.
  3. Oliver was a beast. I can see him being an absolute terror as the season goes in.
  4. It's almost like these talking heads just know if they make ludicrous statements about the Bills they get increased social media activity across the board. Wonder if it's in the newcommers handbook?
  5. Cocoa Pebbles are rejected Cocoa Krispies. They don't even really exist. This is fact.
  6. If the Bills can't score And they don't make adjustments Fire Daboll Monday
  7. Cocoa Pebbles are just quiet Cocoa Krispies.
  8. Coco Puffs are better than Coco Pebbles.
  9. I think it's a combined "Get Ertz/Cut Edmunds thread, but not 100% sure...
  10. Yea, I have 2 predictions for this one. 1. People aren't gonna be happy. 2. This thread will end up locked lol
  11. Sorry, Breida was working with the ST coaches. That is the "he". My bad.
  12. Stephenson was out. McKenzie was coming back from a bum shoulder. He actually tweaked his other shoulder early in. They needed someone that could back up KR. Pregame, he was down in the end zone working with the ST coaches. May not be a popular move for the fans, but that was what it looks like the decision was based on.
  13. If the Buffalo Bills made the Super Bowl and 31 other teams were stricken with COVID, couldn't play and the only team we could play was Bishop Sycamore I would still be obnoxiously happy.
  14. The funniest thing I saw from yesterday was when Pitt had the ball. All the Steeler fans in the end zone were yelling with the crowd and flipping those terrible tissues around. They don't even know when to cheer. Maybe when we have the ball Josh gets nervous with everyone watching? Maybe we all need to duck down real low and hide our eyes😂
  15. Let's let Mitch call the plays🤷🏻‍♂️
  16. Pittsburgh has a dominating pass rush. So, our idea was to go 5 wide a good portion of the game. Not a great plan. Then when they saw our line couldn't contain it they didn't adjust. Could have had a back or TE help with chipping off the line and staying in to block. Nope. Moss, who many say is our best pass blocking RB wasn't even dressed. We have 2 and a half TEs on the roster and neither is a noted blocker. Of the players we did dress yesterday they still could have been an asset to slow the rush. Get Brieda in space and let them chase. Mix in a screen pass here and there. Their DC said flat out they were prepared for an 80-20 pass to run ratio and we gave them that. For most of the game our "running game" consisted of Josh and his 2 yard awkward looking keepers. Terrible planning +terrible execution + terrible adjustments and the Bills deserved that loss.
  17. Times like this I always remeber the Super Bowl era Bills getting an early season loss and saying (can still hear Bruce Smith's voice) "This was our wake up call" and they would reel off a string of W's. Much the same tone last year losing to the Cards. Hopefully losing this one it hope gets them refocused and they realize the off season fluff job they got in the media needs to be earned now.
  18. The reason we lost, simply put is the offense didn't execute. The offensive game plan was garbage. The playcalling was terrible. The punt block. Lots to work on this week.
  19. Couple nice flash plays by Addison and Oliver. Played well as a unit against the run. Still would have hoped for them to have more impact against a young OL at home. Didn't notice Obada, Phillips or Hughes much at all, but was at the game. Will be watching them closer when I rewatch today.
  20. Really bad first week We are onto the Dolphins At least Tua stinks
  21. Bills Fan reactions: 2019: 4th and 3 @ midfield - Punt "McD is too conservative playing Jauron ball. Needs to to for it" 2021: 4th and 3 @ midfield- Goes for it "McD is a horrible game manager. Clearly should have punted" 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
  22. Inside the stadium now. They have Breida working off to the side on kick returns. Something Moss doesn't add. With Stephenson out he may be needed there a well.
  23. Good food, good friends and Buffalo Bills football. This is what Sunday was created for! Everyone stay safe, stay loud and let's have a memorable season! See you all there!
  24. I mean, it probably didn't stop him.🤷🏻‍♂️
