The Damar hate on this board is the fashionable thing. I think people just got sick of hearing about his story. -

Can't let a team like Denver have hope early. That was less than ideal. -
I can't. And I'm not a "Super Bowl or it's a failure" kinda guy. If the Bills lose AT HOME in the playoffs for a third straight year in the Divisional round it is a failure to everything McDermott preaches. Growth Mindset. Defend your dirt. There's a path to beating the Ravens. They aren't as strong on the road. Take advantage of that. Control the game.

Mike Vrabel - Now hired as the new Patriots coach
BuffaloBillyG replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
Meh. Vrabel 's a good coach that gets his team to play hard. But he had some talent on his Titan rosters that he didn't do much with, even being one and done as the #1 seed a few years back. He's had mixed success against us, they blew us out before, we've blown them out before and a few tough close games....but he is not a great game day manager and I don't fear him as a coach. I still think the Patriots needed a complete fresh start in the building, not an old Patriot doing things the familiar way. -
This time tomorrow the board will either be filled with threads to Fire McDermott or talking about how Baltimore is going to destroy us. Nothing like Bills fan Playoff optimism!

Steelers @ Ravens playoff game thread (no Bills stuff please)
BuffaloBillyG replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seen this script in far too many Ravens games. Second half they pull away. Pittsburgh plays the run a little in the 3rd quarter, leaves Lamar able to throw to wide open receivers. Fourth quarter Henry plows a few long runs. Pittsburgh scores a little in garbage time. Ravens win something like 41-13. -

Unless Pittsburgh wins. I still think it'll be an easy Chiefs win, but they will at least come out battered a bit. -

Steelers by any means necessary tonight. Would LOVE the Texans in Orchard Park next week if we beat the Broncos. -

Never got the Herbert hype. Since coming in to the league I've watched maybe 15-20 Charger games. Outside of the one Monday night game a while back where he almost brought them back with his broken ribs...I've never seen him have a big game. I've seen his box scores he's out up numbers occasionally, but he's my pick for most vastly overrated QB of the last 25 years. -
Amari Cooper, I like him more everyday (ESPN article)
BuffaloBillyG replied to RochesterLifer's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you sell the offense short. Who are your other 2 difference makers? Because if you count Coop among them, there's also Shakir, Cook and Allen that are locked in as difference makers. Hollins is just outside that IMO. He won't take over a game but those 3rd down grabs make a huge difference. Kincaid has the ability to be a difference maker if they use him a bit better. Then you talk OL. Brown and Dawkins have been difference makers this year. I think it further speaks to your point however that the focus comes draft needs to be defense. Get me a couple DL early. Some backend help a bit later. Free agency go grab a WR that fits the offense if you don't retain Coop. Maybe a couple just above mid tier DL to fill out the room. -
AP All-Pro Teams Announced. Josh 2nd Team Only Bill.

What Ari says is true to the point of it being the same voters. I actually think it strengthens the case it will be Allen as some may very well have said "Well it's close so I'll take Lamar for this and Allen for that" to kinda split their voting. -
the Daboll/Schoen regime - on the brink, it seems
BuffaloBillyG replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
To me it's like hiring a cleaning crew and then when the work looks good only one person gets credited. I'm sure Daboll did help. How much or in what ways we really don't know. But it took a lot of people. Dorsey. Palmer. Joe Brady. Dave Culley, McDermott, and probably 20 other guys that we don't know. Guys like Matt Barkley giving him tips (sometimes those who can't make the best teachers). Even with the way he cut down the turnovers this year a guy like Ronald Curry could have helped some The one person I see credited the least is Josh Allen. Sorry, but he's the one that had to devote the time and effort and have the drive to get better and remain coachable. Not to mention Daboll did bubkis for Daniel Jones or young QBs he had before his Bills stint like Brady Quinn or Jake Fromm...who he also had in Jersey for a bit. Daboll is fools gold that got his job because the GM knew him and he worked with Allen. -

Brian Daboll is basically Freddie Kitchens plus one lucky unsustainable season of luck.
