  1. Not only that bit at least Tee has experience in the OC chair and calling plays. It may have been at the NCAA level but it's experience Dorsey doesn't have on his resume yet. He coached Hollywood Brown to his 1st 1,000 yard seasons this year. Wonder what he could do with Gabe?
  2. Like anything, teams will get out of it what they put into it. If teams treat it like a "box to check" they may miss out. Beane and McD strike me as more of the "job is in the details" types. I'm sure they are doing due diligence on a guy that they may actually be interested in rather that shortcut it to "check a box". My personal feelings is when someone shouts "Rooney Rule interview" it reveals way more about themselves then the teams hiring.
  3. This is incorrect. Spent 3 seasons as OC for USC. 2nd bolded is also incorrect. For coordinator spots it's 1 external minority candidate.
  4. I known nothing about Martin, however Ravens Twitter is really upset he's interviewing...so that's a plus.
  5. Spent 2016-2018 as USC's OC. Last year was his 1st season coaching in the NFL. Spent time at New Mexico, Kentucky and his alma mater (Tennessee) mostly as Pass Game Coordinator/WRs coach. Would definitely be an "In Beane I Trust" response on my part if hired.
  6. Chiefs reserve DT Khalen Sunders (who?) sent this Tweet about an hour after their game last night. 1. Don't ever try and tell me that players take the losses as hard as fans. 2. Could you imagine the backlash had someone like Zack Moss or Tommy Doyle sent this message last week and hour after the Bills/Chiefs tilt? He'd be run out of the state.
  7. LMAO..get over myself? Easy Polly. You think my take of him not being pursued by people that know why more about him MIGHT indicate something...yet your take of "teams aren't after him because they are shy" is spot on? Mmkay.
  8. If you feel that it's negative to have feelings other that sunshine and rainbows that's a "you issue", bro. Like I said in my 1st post you quoted..I'm not saying he would be bad. Just gives pause to wonder why of he's such a lock at greatness more teams aren't in one him.
  9. Last year after he missed on the Charger job he withdrew his name from other interviews that were set up IIRC. Tells me he wasn't going to take just "Any job". Giants are a solid landing spot with some pieces on place, good picks this season (and a projected soft schedule next year). Don't be shocked when they win 7 or 8 next year.
  10. Teams offer coaches that they want interviews. No one is shy. This isn't some 4th grade dance that everyone just stands around afraid to ask people to dance. It's actually very much the opposite. If he was a "gotta have" teams would be lining up to make their pitch.
  11. One thing that stands out for me at least as somewhat of a red flag on Dorsey. If he's such a hot name "rising star"...why are the only 2 teams mentioned for his services the Bills (who he is with now) and the Giants (who are where his old boss ended up)? I would figure with the, what 9 teams looking for HCs and new staff if he was such a hot commodity he would be mentioned more. Not saying he would be bad at the job. But it"s definitely something that would be a pause for concearn for me.
  12. Spent last year as an assistant with the Bears. He was also the coordinator lfor the Packers who gave up that ridiculous long TD to Tampa just before the half in last years playoffs IIRC. Situational awareness may not be his strong suit, either.
  13. This is where some in the Chiefs message board are today on what happened... "Maybe Brittney and Jackson were being threatened and at halftime Pat had to make a choice..."
  14. My thoughts are that he's leveraging Miami and Minnesota against each other for the biggest cash grab he can find.
  15. I must have missed something. Is it being reported that McD is looking at the McVay tree? Where is it being reported? Not that I don't believe you...just would like to read it for myself.
  16. Ralph Vacchiano? He was great in the Karate Kid movies. The Cobra Kai show is really good too.
  17. It seemed that starting in the last 4 or 5 game and playoffs the snap counts tended to look less liked a full rotation and more like "get your aces in their places". Oliver, Phillips and Groot's snaps increased a bit while Star slide down the snap count list. Hughes was up and down. Addison is one guy I think benefited by rotating. I believe he had 7 sacks and played under 50% of the snaps by the end of the year. Boogie, when active seemed to both show flashes and be exploited. Life of a rookie I suppose. AJE, outside of a couple games I largely forgot was even active. The only thing to hope for with him is that Oliver took some time to improve, so it may just happen for AJ as well. One can hope. I do know that I'm tired of using day 1 and 2 picks on high upside guys that will be good in 3 years and inactive their rookie season on game day. We need players that can play now and it a reasonably high level.
  18. Agree. He's basically Sugar Rush Chris Berman for this version of the Bills.
  19. I wouldn't say I'm excited...but I'll be watching and pulling for the Bengals to finish off the Cinderella ending. Don't like the Rams. Either way it's nice to see different teams there.
