  1. Minnesota going with the Giants DC now? Wonder if the Flores lawsuit is trickling in here. I would HATE to be a team with an open HC job at the moment. It's a 100% lose/lose for them.
  2. Good luck matching Allen's insatiable thirst for winning and improving himself. THAT'S the thing that separates Josh Allen from any of the 100s of failed QBs that came before him with "raw talent".
  3. I don't think he's going to be available and I know I'll get crucified for this...but bring me Minshew.
  4. If not I'm sure there is a rather profitable massage house down that way that would love to buy the Dolphins and stick it to Kraft twice a year.
  5. 23-16-3 record as a coach. Honestly that would likely get him an extension these days.
  6. Well then, to the the window to the wall. 'Til the sweat drop down my 🏈. 'Til Bele-chick will crawl. 'Til all clap-clap clap-clap McDermott 'Til all clap-clap
  7. I love his fit in Pittsburgh. Tampa has an opening now as well and a few other obvious places. Long shot possibility: I'll go with San Francisco. I don't think Shannahan is all that impressed with Lance (just may own opinion) and Lance did have some injury issues this season in the spot chances he had to play. They would need a solid back up plan. It would also give Trubisky a year to learn from that coaching tree which would help him grow.
  8. Yea, well from what may sources tell me...Finkle is Einhorn. Einhorn IS FINKLE!!!
  9. Well, I know this isn't going to be popular on these boards...but this would be a time where any coach taking that job would be wise to insist on a Marrone style "Opt Out" clause in case of new ownership or other potentially career threatening issues.
  10. Yup. Then he should be prosecuted for commiting what would appear to be a Class D Felony. https://criminaldefense.1800nynylaw.com/new-york-penal-law-180-40-sports-bribing.html
  11. "May be able to" and "Multiple potential" are rather noteworthy phrasings...
  12. By the way... In before the Texans name Josh McCown their new HC over Brian Flores😬😬😬
  13. Is DaBearsBlog credible...or is that Chicago's "Trainwreck Sports?"
  14. Art Shell Dennis Green Ray Rhodes Tony Dungy Herm Edwards Marvin Lewis Lovie Smith Romeo Crennel Mike Tomlin Mike Singletary Jim Caldwell Raheem Morris Leslie Frazer Todd Bowles Anthony Lynn Vance Joseph Steve Wilks Brian Flores David Culley Less than 20 black head coaches in NFL history. So, I would agree owners may not always hire the "best man for the job".
  15. Well, while what you say may very well be factually correct I struggle to accecpt league wide rankings as evidence of proof (pro or con) of improvements needed. When offering data the cumulative outcome needs to be set by an equal means. In other words, the data is often compmrised due to factors that are inconsistent on a team by team basis. (Weather, opponent, field type, key injuries). That said, I used YAC as an example of any area that could stand improvement. Not saying that's the only one. Could have also mentioned cashing in in the red zone more amoungst other things. In any event it will be interesting to see the areas that Dorsey can help improve the offense and what areas may take a step back.
  16. For the owner a "win" is found in the profit margin, not on the football field.
  17. Agree. I would also hope that Dorsey has a few original ideas to incorporate that seemed to escape Daboll from time to time last year. Such as generating better YAC, incorporating a better screen game. Different ideas to set up ALL available talent on offense to succeed. He's got a lot to prove. Let's hope he's up to it!
  18. Josh thrived with play action...so that would be a huge plus. That said, being he ran that offense in college doesn't mean it is something he runs now. People evolve and learn. We will see soon what Dorsey's philosophy is.
  19. One thing to remember, Hap. There are more minority candidates than it just being a black/white issue. Robert Saleh is Lebanese. Ron Rivera is Latino. Both considered "minority" HCs. That said 3 positions being filled by minority coaches is for too low. There are qualified coaches out there of many races. We have also seen progression (this year anyway) with the hiring of minority GMs. If the common think is GMs hire coaches they are comfortable with (as in Daboll with Schoen) one would think we may see a trickle down of minority coaches being hired by minority GMs. Then again, Minnesota just hired a minority GM and is rumored to be all in on Harbaugh (who he knows from their SF days)...so we shall see.
