  1. I see that logic and agree. However, the other side of the argument..this is who he's been by and large his career in the postseason. Odd timing to finally drop him down after the last 2 seasons he's had is all.
  2. I would love an offense centered draft, but just don't see it. I am more thinking I'd like some OL guys in FA that we don't have to wait 2-3 years to develop. As far as weapons, I would love DJ Chark if he hits FA. Good size/speed mix. At least after FA we ahould have a good idea where the draft focus will be.
  3. Not that I'm agreeing or disagreeing with you...but I would be intrested in hearing the logic behind a guy having back to back MVP seasons and that actually dropping him in your list.
  4. Our OC this coming year was a position coach last year. If Dorsey would have left there's a chance Chad Hall, our WRs coach would have been next in line for internal hire. From what I have seen 49er fans were sad to see him go. He's done a nice job with a really ragtag group of WRs (outside of Deebo). Chances are he can be a big help to a guy like Waddle. Waddle has speed and if Welker can help him with technique he's even more dangerous.
  5. The preseason tickets are the biggest scam I've ever seen. You pay full price for meaningless games played in large part by guys that won't be in the team in 3 weeks. Then they jack up priced for the Divisional and (if we were to host) AFCCC because those games mean more. Which is understandable. However paying the full bird for preseason is a rip off.
  6. Being he was a Patriot I saw a lot of Richard Seymore. Never thought he was a HoF guy. Not to say he wasn't an extremely good player...he was. I think he is a Hall of Very Good type player. Sam Mills was terrific. Part of a really great Saints LB core. However I don't think he was even the best LBer on his team.
  7. It's hard to make "All-Time" arguments with QBs because of how the games is played now as opposed to decades ago. I would have Rodgers 3rd or 4th of his era. So making the argument he's top 5 on my list is a tough sell when you have guys like Marino, Unitis, Montana ect from other eras to include.
  8. Interesting hire IMO. Spent 3 years on 49ers staff and familiar with McDaniel.
  9. I'm not so sure I agree with that part. I think we can all agree that what goes on in an NFL Locker Room (not to mention Coaches/GM meetings) are not always what the public is made aware of. The Ravens have publicly said the want to get a deal done but IMO, their actions say something else. If a team really truly believes that they have "their guy" at QB they lock him down. It's priority 1, 2 and 3. If they still have internal questions (be it skill, health, off field issues) they tend to string it along. Reports using the wording "Being patient" "Comfortable having him play on 5th year option" and "They may even use the tag if they need to" say to me at least that there are some internal questions and Lamar needs to be healthy and make resigning him a no brainer.
  10. In that statement we can agree. There is also a place (as I firmly believe) that the 2 sides intersect. You need the film sometimes to explain why the stats are what they are. The stats are the outcome. The film is the "why" so to speak. Allen's rookie year for example. The stats said this kid may wash out of the league before his rookie deal was up. Numbers...terrible. However anyone that objectively watched him saw the "it" factor so to speak. The plays he flashed in addition to the ones he didn't. The stats now reflect what we all saw as a rookie. They are measured numbers that chart just how much progress he has made. Of course...we all saw it coming because we watched the games. The simple fact that he is able to meet and exceed the productivity of the guys like Mayfield and Murray who were considered much further along are proven by both the film and the numbers.
  11. Listen, as fun as this is I have a fun statistic. There is a 76.3% chance that this will only make more work for a mod if it continues. You are more than welcome to yell at the clouds...oops...my DM if you wish to continue. Otherwise, I'm done giving you and your Cincy bud the attention you crave here. Cheers!
  12. So, you spent a lifetime analyzing data and numbers and also claim statistics are for losers? Looks like we can FINALLY agree! 🤙🤙🤙
  13. Wow. Ok. Look, I normally wouldn't do this but I'll go ahead and fast track you since you seem to really need the attention today. You're welcome. Listen, Jimmy. I know numbers can be a scary thing. We have all been there. There are SO MANY numbers out there (such as 7, 4 and even 16) it seems like a rough process to learn them all! But we believe in YOU!!! There are many programs out there too learn these "numbers" from! May I reccommend Brainpop Jr? I used it when my kids were doing remote learning and it is really fantastic! Just remember to ask your parents permission before downloading. We wouldn't want you to lose screen time!! As far as how these numbers play into the actual product you see on the field. For example...have you ever wondered why coaches go for it on 4th down? Have you wondered why sometimes they choose to punt? These decisions are based on something called analytics. Analytics are basically a collection of statistics (or stats, for short) that help your favorite team make the best call. Do you have a favorite team? I bet you do! Statistics or...Stats are one very important part of what you see. The data supplied from these "stats" helps coaches knew what to do in certain situations. Or what players may do well in certain down and distances. The often help determine things like MVP awards, contract extensions (MORE NUMBERS AHHHHH!!!) and sometimes they even have a direct outcome on the plays called during a game. Do you have a favorite play? I bet you do, Jimmy! Now that you know a little bit about these numbers or STATS...hopefull they are a bit less scary. Keep swinging slugger!
  14. I'm sorry. I'm already debating one person with a clueless view. I limit my interaction with clueless takes to one a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow's not looking great either. I can pencil you in for Tuesday if that works?
  15. No. It's not even close. Your big conclusion is adding Allen's 4th year widens the gap. No ****? Another year helps when adding stats up? Who knew? The entire discussion was the 1st 3 years of their career. You keep attempting to change that. Either you can't even comprehend what the discussion is or you cannot emotionally handle that there are other QBs that have played on the same level as Josh Allen STATISTICALLY through their 1st 3 years. So, in retrospect I asked if you were able to supply a statistic based counter argument or were just yammering. Yammering it is.
  16. I think ultimately if the do resign him giving him the "Kirk Cousins Treatment" may be their best option. Lower salary and years, however a higher % of guaranteed money. Gives both sides some security and protection and gives Baker another chance to score a huge payday down the road if he proves better.
  17. This is shocking and new information that I am just hearing about for the 1st time. Not at all something from last week. Unrelated, but does Alvin Kamara seem a bit on edge to anyone else lately?
  18. You made 2 statements. Both incredibly incorrect. I have provided the stats that were in question upthread. Can you provide an intellectual counter argument backed by the statistics (which was the diacussion) or are you just yammering?
  19. Very....odd wording by Roger. This whole Broncos sale is a sham from the get go IMO. Goodell goes onto imply that the only outcome is a minority owner...they have even seemed to handpick Byron Allen. This is borderline illegal IMO
  20. Well, it appears the Commanders Jonathan Allen is up for a game in Germany🤦‍♂️
  21. Super. Feel better now? Terrific. Murray had a bad first playoff game. Happens a LOT with great QBs. There is zero debate here to be had, though. Murray started with a higher floor than Allen and has performed at MINIMUM at the same level statistically speaking. That's not saying he's better, worse or the same as Allen. Just that they have been productive at the same statistic level. Allen has absolutely hit higher highs...however (AGAIN STATISTICALLY SPEAKING) he has also hit MUCH lower lows. Again, there is nothing at all even debatable there.
  22. Ford was one of the guys. I had no issue with them playing Ford as the did invest in him...had to try and get it to work out. It didn't. But that's not the issue. The other guy they brought in and played over Spain was Brian Winters who was awful. He was awful the years before with the Jets, too.
  23. So, we now have Smiley in addition to Clappy. Getting our 7 Dwarves line up SET for next year.
