  1. One key thing he said that isn't part of those quotes... Mentioned he hasn't sat down and discussed where Cole is at yet. I believe they anticipate that talk to go well, however one of any number of topics they discuss could make that change in a hurry.
  2. Agree. I'm also curious what he could do for Daniel Jones. I mean, no he's not going to turn him into Josh Allen 2.0. However I feel like with some stability, a solid offensive staff and an OLine he could be above average.
  3. Giants are a great spot for him to have success. They have some really good skill positions players. They need some OLine help and of course a QB. Their defense is already middle of the pack. A good DC and they could trend up. Would possibly mean Jake Fromm stay with NYG as well.
  4. This is typically where Schefter send a Tweet like this that is more times than not being used by 1 side for leverage. Reading this, makes me wonder more if it's coming from the Jags to pressure Leftwich to sign quickly. Also wonder if Eberflus and Schefter share an agency.
  5. Arians said yesterday that he would call plays. I would imagine they promote from within and keep the same system. A lot of what they had in place was reportedly implemented at Brady's suggestion. I don't think it factors in that much.
  6. Does this apply to promotions from within? Example, Andy Reid retires and Chiefs promote EB to HC. Do they get picks or has to be external hire?
  7. Just imagine if Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison, Groot, Boogie, Milano, Hyde or Poyer made one or two big-time plays during the KC game. Imagine if one of our CBs would have knocked ONE of Mahomes passes away.
  8. Yes, fans as well as a couple of the "in the know" types. Nothing concrete...which is why I used the world "speculating". Makes no sense? He's 29, has had a history of concussions and just welcomed a new baby. Yea, wouldn't be a huge shock if he pulled a Patrick Willis and walked away while he can and enjoys his family and life after football.
  9. Hello all! I see there are some new users on the board and a ton more as guests...Would be good to see a thread around where new blood can stop by and introduce themselves. Please make sure to let everone know- -How long you've been a Bills fan -How McD can make these Bills a mirror image of the 90s Bills -Your thoughts on a dome -Amount of years you spent as a HS player/coach. Nice to have you all! And always #GoBills
  10. Well, the only difference in that train of thought is this. With football being a game rooted in human performance you give yourself many more chances at forcing human error. A ball thrown a tad too far. A guy slips. Someone bats a ball. Luck has a lot to do with the outcome of games like this as well. Every play has the potential of human error playing a role. Maybe if you made those darts double sided where one side was sharp and would stick and the other was flat and would bounce off the board...but you wouldn't know if you had the correct side until after it's thrown would be a stronger anaolgy for me. And that 1 dart 20 foot throw would be more likely a 1 dart 200 foot throw. But I think we see the same issue. Both incredible long shots.
  11. Then, surely you have had something come up that was a pressing matter and you had to trust your subordinates to run things while your attention was one a priority matter, correct? You would assume they would run things they way you have it in your mind but they have different ideas All I'm saying is it happens. Focusing on the defense and trusting his ST coaches knew what to do is very plausable.
  12. Was literally about to type that Payton to Dallas is going to be the new buzz.
  13. Man, quit the Saints and he didn't even leave em with a QB? Doug Marrone really DID learn under Sean Payton
  14. Ok. Let's look at it objectively. Doing it the way you were suggesting might lead to success what kind of percent of the time? .5%? 1%? Debatable, however I think we could agree it's shockingly low odds. Kicking it deep could lead to a TON more opportunity to make a play. 1. Kick could have been muffed/fumbled 2. Holding on the return sets the up deep 3. Being deeper into their territory (in theory) should lead to more plays having to be run. 4. Each play is the chance of a sack, fumble, tipped ball INT, dropped pass or throw away. So let's say you put all your eggs in the onside kick basket. You're basically giving yourself 1 shot at 1 good possible outcome. Kicking it deep gives your (again, in theory) a shot on each individual play at one of several outcomes that could seal the game in your favor. I look at it like this. Let's say we were playing darts. You need 20 to win. Would your rather have 1 dart from 20 feet away or 8 darts from 25 feet away?
  15. The best I have seen so far IMO is you put 15 minutes on the clock. Play a full quarter. Whoever is leading at the end wins. If still tied at the end of the "5th quarter" it's a tie in regular season...and you keep playing if it's a playoff
  16. Or, the HC was busy prepping with the defense and had faith his coordinator knew what McDermott would want in that situation.
  17. They did try something. It didn't work. Coming up with things that are way more of a longshot of working 2 days after the fact is just slamming your head into a wall. I've seen it least 3 posts say they should do something similar and more times than not they point to the onside kick by the Saints in their Super Bowl. Ask yourself this. Had the Colts recovered that kick...is Sean Payton still the coach of the Saints today? I doubt it. Because of a play like that doesn't pan out perfectly you're done as a HC. And with good reason.
  18. Well, you rushing in herr to argue and Piss and moan about charitable donations DOES fit the mold of attention seeking clown. Where your story falls apart is by expecting anyone to believe you have friends. Almost had is, though!
  19. Aye, I did. And with the positivity of giving you credit for the bolded part being correct.
