  1. As soon as the pick was announced Josh Allen became the single most important player on the team. Every decision from that point forward needs to revolve around his development. This applies to when he starts as well. Is Allen the kind of player that can sit and learn well...or is he as a person someone that learns better/faster by being on the field and doing? Is he better off long term watching AJ soak up 1st team reps and watching how he does it...or would he get further faster taking the reps himself and seeing everything firsthand? It's really easy to point to an Aaron Rodgers and say "see sitting works". Or point to a David Carr and say "see thats what happens". Could also point to a Peyton Manning or Russell Wilson and say "this is why it's ok if he starts". I do have confidence that McDermott is going to do what's best for Allen and his long term outlook. He has to, because as Josh Allen goes it's likely his head coaching career goes as well. I'll trust the guy with everything riding on Josh Allen becoming the best he can be.
  2. If Josh Allen becomes a franchise QB Mahomes doesn't matter at all to me.
  3. Not to split hairs, but he really did. He showed well in the Jets game right before getting hurt. After that he wasn't really on the field as much as Thompson was getting more snaps. Knowing what we do now about the shoulder and the knee being "ongoing" I think it's fair to wonder if he wasnt used as much because they knew he was playing hurt and that limited his effectiveness. Either way, starting a career with so many speed bumps rarely bodes well for a guys career. Which is my original point.
  4. Zay's career is following the Karlos Williams trajectory imo. Started with high hopes, then one setback after another. The drops, the shoulder, the Zay for Jesus and now the knee. Not saying he can't turn it around. However thus many setbacks early typically derail a career before it really begins.
  5. I think it will come down to 2 of our AFC East rivals. Fins and Jets. Jets "win" the first pick with a 3-13 record.
  6. Maybe he can get a room with Jonathan Martin.
  7. True story time. Last year at the commercial break right before the TV station would send thw telecast to the stadium...I chose to take a bathroom break, refill my drink and get a snack. Came back right at kickoff and didn't pay the slightest attention to the stations coverage of the kneeling. Good times.
  8. I will have you know he is an excellent note taker. Just have to keep him from eating the finger paint.
  9. It's an old Buffalo myth. Much like "comp picks".
  10. Much obliged!! ??
  11. On the left: Rosen in 2021
  12. Mayfield: "Nice shirt dickweed" Darnold: "I AM THE EVIL ANDY DALTON" Allen: "Shucks, this guy seems swell" Rosen: "The last 9 questions were mistakes" Jackson: "I'm just here so my mom don't get fined."
  13. Man, I thought Beebe was dead or at the very least paralyzed. One of the most underrated Bills. Saw him in a charity basketball game where the Bills would play against local teachers associations. Guy threw himself an alley-oop and dunked home. Crazy.
  14. For me, 12. Jimbo by himself makes it a great number, but Fergy was the QB when I was a kid as well.
  15. Yes. When she puts on a helmet she's no longer a she. She becomes a football player. If the person under the helmet can't handle the hard hits then it's not the sport for them.
  16. How about "HOLYSH!TDIDYOUSEETHEWAYGRONKSLEGBUCKLEDWHENHEGOTRAILEDBYEDMUNDS"
  17. Cleveland has just signed Brogan Roback. I change my vote. They are a force now.
  18. Hue still the coach in Cleveland? I take the Bills, but not by much. I think both teams coupd be at the 7 win range, but coaching makes a difference.
  19. I love watching Gase cry about how bad his offense is when he's an offensive minded coach. It's like he's basically yelling "I'M INCOMPETENT AT MY JOB"
  20. Hue will start Taylor. Taylor will have a few 86 yard passing games, Dorsey will fire Hue and the intrem coach (Todd Haley, perhaps) will start Baker.
  21. Say what you will, but he's worked with Daboll before which gives him a head start. He should already come,in with some knowledge of how Daboll runs his offense, terminology, responsibilities. I could see him playing early in the season while the other young WRs play catch up. Hopefully he works out.
  22. Stupid thief. Should have tried to steal from Brady. We know he can't catch anything.
