Houston - a young team to keep an eye on
BuffaloBillyG replied to Dubie54's topic in The Stadium Wall
In the preseason "bold predictions" thread or one like it I picked Houston as my surprise team. I really like Ryans as a leader. -
Bills vs Broncos-Monday Night Football

I disagree. So if Ed gets 3 sacks over the rest of the year in garbage time...that helps us how? But as I said above, it's more of a timing issue. Sitting at 5-4 and "in the hunt" I'm sorry, I don't want to (and many others feel the same) hear about personal incentives in the contract. Not the time to be talking about your bank. -
Let's make a few things clear. EFF Russell Wilson and his Carlton Banks acting arse. EFF Sean Payton...he was TERRIBLE when he started on Malcom in the Middle. Kevin James was a better Sean Payton...and I don't like Kevin James. EFF the saying "Broncos Country...Let's Ride". Hey, Denver, got something you can ride...right here. Hey, and while we are at it...EFF the Colorado Buffaloes, too. Only team that matters with "Buffalo" in the name is right here....right now. Go Bills

Bills vs Broncos-Monday Night Football

You didn't watch the presser, did you? The question and response is at 2:28. The question he was asked was about how he assessed the way he performed so far this year. NOTHING asked about the contract. At all. He actually DID bring that part up on his own. There are a million ways to answer that question without bringing up incentives. -
[QUESTION] Your Opinion On This Team Will Change Tonight If:
BuffaloBillyG replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think too many are going to change their opinion by beating the Broncos at home. Yes it's a week to week league, but it's a game they "should" win. Even next week beating the Jets at home "should" happen. The caveat there may be if they come out on offense next week and put up 35-40 on a good Jet defense. -

I think it's more about the timing. If Buffalo was sitting at 7-2 and Ed's talking about hitting incentives everything is cool. Sitting at 5-4, underachieving what a lot though they would be and general uncertainty heading into the rest of the year...yeah don't really want to hear about how much more money he stands to gain with a few more sacks. Especially coming off a losing effort a couple days before he made the statement. Credit for the openness and honesty answering...but Ed needs to read the room. -
Should Dorsey come down to the sidelines?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
FWIW, the did ask him about this possibility last week. His reply indicated he was very against the idea. -
All true as well. Point being no matter how good or bad coaching is it's never all on coaching or all on talent/execution.

Around the NFL - Week 10 - Sunday, November 12th

This is some of the most vile QB play I have ever seen in one game. We are talking Amy Schumer naked levels of vile -
You can't coach players to be younger. Can't coach players to not get injured. Can't coach players to be faster.

Well, week to week league and all...but Denver Jets and NE at home are all winnable. Chargers will be tough...but winnable. So it's a possible scenario. As far as those other 3 for the Fins...they should win them...but Tennessee/Washington can play teams tough...and who knows if the Raiders keep this newfound swagger with the new HC. So in my view it's possible. But as far as the Bills are concerned they need to view it as the playoffs really start tomorrow. -

Miami really doesn't have an easy schedule going forward. Jets twice, Bills, Cowboys and Ravens all could go either way for them. -

I mean, they went out and signed Matt Barkley. Second best punter in Bills history. -
Bobby Slowik is going to be a hot commodity for HC. Maybe not this off season but definitely by next. He's done a tremendous job with that offense.

Here's what I see. If/when Gabe hits FA, unless someone views him as the next Christian Kirk I think he will land around the same deal the Jets game Allen Lazard. That was 4 years $44M. That seems like his ballpark. Right now that's projected to net the Packers a 4th round comp pick. So, I'd ask...would anyone have given at least a 4th rounder for him? Maybe. But what good is a pick next year going to do this year? I think the right move was to keep him. He's more valuable for this year to the Bills than that.

The Ken Dorsey Over/Under HC Interviews Poll
BuffaloBillyG replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course it depends on how many openings there are. But, I'll take the over. Teams don't look at fan opinions. There are teams that lean heavy on analytics that would show him as a possible candidate. One place that may be a possibility (though unlikely) is Carolina if Reich is one and done. -

Yeah, I mean there are dumb owners. And Mark Davis is one with a HC need for sure. But I'd keep low expectations on this one. Haha -

Not for nothing, but this is the ultimate "fan vision" post. Here's what may be a bit more closer to the truth about what the reality is. Belichick really has nothing left in trade value. Look at his age. Look at what he's done lately. Would take a special kind of stupid to move assets for that combination. Add in the fact that if the Patriots are wanting to move on you wait it out and call the bluff. Days tick by and decisions have to be made...you force Krafts hand in this. -

I'll say this. Minshew is NOT a franchise QB, for sure. However if the Jets had signed him and used the money they did on Cobb and Lazard to help their OL...with what they have on defense I think they would have a 2 game lead in the AFCE -

Bills vs Broncos-Monday Night Football
BuffaloBillyG replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree, they will. The one thing Buffalo has had an issue with (even when Jones was in) is lining up a bit wrong and having a back with some explosion exploit not...such as the long Breece Hall run on opening night. Plus, when Joseph comes out then stand to get gashed. Denver has a back with some explosion in Jaleel McLaughlin. -

I expect Buffalo to win. That being said I would bet on the Bills giving up a 40+ yard run this week before I'd bet they give up less than 40 total... especially if Dodson starts.
