  1. Yeah, I get not taking them in the 1st round...but 3rd? That's peak PFF.
  2. Thank you for this...that was a fun read. Imagine being a Jets fan and feeling like you could dunk on another team for anything at all! I will confess that I was one of the detractors in 2018 and I have never been happier about being incredibly wrong.
  3. Man is he a bummer. If he kept himself focused on the game, all of the hundred threads that we have about running back would be completely unnecessary. Seriously, who would you rather have - rookie year Karlos or literally any of the back on our roster or in the draft?
  4. Not sure if this has been included in any posts yet but take a look at this mock by the "experts" at PFF - https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2021-nfl-seven-round-mock-draft See how long it takes you to find both Etienne and Harris...
  5. If Singletary had two bad years I'd say move on but it's a little hard to forget that he was awfully elusive in his rookie year...so much so that it seemed criminal how poorly he was used. He wasn't great last year but he absolutely wasn't as bad as a lot of the board thinks he was...his yards after contact were excellent, yards before contact not so good. The latter really seems to be more blocking than anything although he may have missed the hole plenty of times as well. For all of the talk about Motor, I'm surprised that Moss hasn't been talked about more. He's the back that I really think has the most upside and he's also why I'm not a big fan of RB in the first. I think Etienne and Harris are obviously both better backs than what we have but that doesn't mean we can't have a good running game with what we have. The good thing is that I have exponentially more faith in the McBeane admin so my reaction to a 1st round RB wouldn't be what it was in the past 😆
  6. He'd be a great pick up as well & could make Morse expendable next year if we need the cap space. He's definitely not an immediate upgrade but I think he could be a really good complementary piece in 12 personnel or even as an H-back type.
  7. He's definitely on my short list of day one crushes.
  8. I really love Moore too. I have no idea what he will end up being in the NFL but his college tape is spectacular.
  9. We've covered the first round quite a bit so I wanted to see if anyone had any particular day two crushes that you're really hoping to see in a Bills uni for years to come. For me, it's Tommy Tremble. This draft only has one elite tight end and honestly I hope some draft day gas mask bong pictures of Kyle the unicorn Pitts are released so we might have an outside chance at him, but barring that then we won't be getting a generational talent at that position so I've looked at other options and the one that I have REALLY grown to like is Tremble. He lacked production at Notre Dame but but for a lack of talent. More often than not he was asked to block and what I love about his game is that he really seemed to relish that role. I've watched a lot of footage of the second tier tight ends and I personally am not overly impressed with Freiermuth, particularly as a 2nd round option. He does some things well but doesn't seem to do any of them REALLY well so I would rather pick a player that does something (in this case blocking) really well and has the upside to improve in other areas. We might need to move up in the 3rd round or maybe even take him in the 2nd (obviously depending on what we do in the 1st) but I really think he could be a great piece in this offense. Knox can make a good block here and there but can also totally miss or even worse, get blown the F up in pass protection. I really think that Tremble could replace the blocking ability of Lee Smith with far more of a threat as a pass catcher on some short crossing routes, or tight end screens and can also improve the overall screen game based on how many times I've seen him utterly humiliate someone in the secondary by blocking them totally out of the play. What do you guys & gals think?
  10. I'm going to go ahead and say that this is one of the dumbest things I've read about the draft this year. I'm not a Lamar fan, but come on.
  11. If we draft a RB at 30, I can live with it but I'd prefer Harris over Etienne. If we trade up to get either, then I'm not happy. I think the only trade up scenario that has any value is edge or CB but particularly edge since CB is pretty deep this year. I think I'm still in the minority when it comes to RB because I'm fine with what we have if we can block and scheme better this year. Lots here have said that we were a bad running team last year but I think it's much more accurate to say that we were an average running team last year. We didn't pass a lot because we had to, we did that because it was clearly the strength of the team. Speaking of, its very worth noting that Moss was an outstanding pass blocker.
  12. Haha, I was just tinkering with how to be able to get Pitts too 😆 As much as I want him on the Bills, I also just don't want to see him end up on the Dolphins.
  13. I follow him on twitter and yet EVERY TIME I see a tweet, my brain reads Warren Sapp 😆
  14. Seeing lots of mocks with Farley falling to us. If that happens I will be very, very pleased.
  15. I'm hoping both of those things bump him to the second round but wouldn't be upset if we took him at 30. He reminds me of Steve Smith a bit but faster. Either Moore at 30 would be a better move than a RB at 30.
  16. It's sort of nice not getting excited about the draft mostly because we're picking in the top ten again. I don't get too high or too low over any pick though, particularly since I was really p*ssed when they picked Allen...oops 🙄 Even if the Bills had zero picks, I would still get excited about the draft because I absolutely love the NFL above any other sports league by a wide margin. Any NFL is > pretty much anything else sports related for me.
  17. I love discussions like this, especially during the off-season when it can be tough to come up with new topics! I'll go by position or position group and will eliminate anyone that made it to even a single playoff game to make it truly the drought era players. QB - No...just no. Above any other position, this is why there was a drought. Sorry Drew & Fitz but we're fine. MAYBE Fitz as a backup but a general rule of the universe is that if Fitz is on your team, he will be starting at some point. RB - My head says Lynch but my heart says Fred. Going to go with Fred because of what he would add to the culture...plus he was a hell of a player as well. WR - Moulds is eliminated because he made the playoffs, plus we already have a #1 alpha dog (alpha Digg?) receiver. Side note, man do I get sad thinking about what he could have been with better QB...freaking monster. I'm going to go with Lee Evans & pretty easily for me. Lee was a much better version of John Brown and had very nice seasons with trash QB play. TE - Oof...I guess Riemersma if I had to pick one but honestly Knox might be a better player. O-Line - This one is pretty tough because our line was average at best for quite a long time. Was going to go with Wood and/or Levitre but it would be dumb to not go with Jason Peters. Move the Shnowman to RT and gracious is that a pair of tackles. Side note...I know Peters isn't very popular on these boards but that's one of the dumbest moves by the Bills during the drought. D-Line - Kyle made a playoff game so he's out but even if he could be included, it would still be Mario Williams in an absolute landslide. Jerry needs someone on the other side and he hasn't had anyone since...Mario Williams. Another not so popular Bill on TBD but before Rex messed things up, he was an outstanding player. Linebacker - Takeo, slightly over London Fletcher. I think his game would still fit today's defensive schemes, mostly because he was an absolute beast. DB - I was going to say Gilmore since he technically applies but he just feels too recent to pick 😄 I'll go with Nate Clements. Numbers may have made his look better than he actually was, but still a good player. Special Teams - I'm happy with Bass-o-matic so he's good. Moorman was a consideration but I'm going to go with Terrance McGee. Obviously an above average CB as well but such a great returner and one of my favorite drought era Bills.
  18. I really don't know why the Raiders even bother keeping any draft picks. They should just trade the picks away for players that they will then ultimately overpay, then misuse and cut. Seriously, that freaking team wins by accident and are every bit of a dumpster fire as the Jets, Jags, etc. Perhaps there is a medical issue with Hurst but if not, he's a good player that should make an impact somewhere.
  19. That certainly could be the case & I would be okay with Rousseau...he is certainly a very large human being 😄 But maybe we already have enough bigger guys to consider Ojulari if he's still there at 30 (I honestly don't think he will be). Stokes would be a nice pick but might be a bit of a reach at 30. If we got any edge player in the first round and Stokes in the second I'd be very happy.
  20. I might be in the minority, but I think the Athletic is actually one of the better pay sites around and it's pretty cheap. Lots of the TBD crew don't seem to like their Bills writers but they put out very well researched & written articles pretty regularly. WAY better than what ESPN puts out for less $$$..
  21. I've read & watched a lot about Ojulari and he's really growing on me. He seemed a bit undersized and more suited for a 3-4 but looked up Jerry's scouting report and the same was said about him. That could be a pretty similar player comp as well. On another note, I am stunned by how much is behind ESPN's paywall these days. That's a massively profitable company and I swear half of their articles are ESPN+ only.
