Sean McDermott Ranks 5th Among Coaches on EDJ Sports list
RoyBatty is alive replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I assume Staley had to drop from #1 on this list with his series of decisions to go for it and failed when he could have easily won the game kicking FGs. -
Donald Parham Injury from TNF--One of Worst I've Seen
RoyBatty is alive replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
that is one of the singularly idiotic comments under an extremely stressful situation to make. It was obvious to anyone with an IQ over 50 his hands weren't shaking because he was cold. And wasn't Buck in the stadium, was he oblivious to the temperature there? Type of asinine comment he should lose his job. -
Mckittrick: Isaiah McKenzie offensive package utilization
RoyBatty is alive replied to Hermes's topic in The Stadium Wall
True but it never should have happened in the first place, zero excuse for that, Looked like a play you might see in pee wee football, not the pros. Funny how this "freak accident" happened to a players with an extensive fumble history. And no it is not terrible how fringe players are treated, that is why the are fringe players, by definition. Diggs has "earned" he stature on the team, McKenzie not even close. -
Yes he has every one. I guess he could go for the most receptions to a receiver (Gronk) from QB to beat Manning-Marvin Harrison.

Leslie Frazier's interview Monday 12/13
RoyBatty is alive replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was a Leslie Frazier fan until i heard his pitiful reasons for not putting in another D Lineman versus the C pats and not too until Q4 for Milano to be instructed to jump the gaps which he did successfully at the end of the game. He said, effectively, we didnt prepare for another lineman or men in the box and he has a real inability to make adjustments. What is truly contrasting is the evil overlord Belicheck constantly makes adjustments, often quarter to quarter if not series by series. Meanwhile, we can only follow the plan until it is too late and we FINALLY realize it and make adjustments. We are built to defend the pass and that is where the coaching and continuity, especially Hype and Poyer ply really shines. -

Rousseau yes, Boogie, no. A Guard or Center should have been in RD 2 imo. -

I would imagine it has to be the ST coach but boy that design was ugly and fooled no one. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Still Some Building to be Done

great post as always, most importantly [putting this loss into perspective. Agreed om the fake punt, it was destined to fail and would have on many levels. -
Oh yeah, i remember him. This is how i remember him, He got into some ridiculous "fight" with a moderator and wouldn't back down, he keep pressing the issue and despite multiple warnings wouldn't stop till he got banned. Is that accurate? When he had an opinion nothing would change his mind.

Quality guy. I recall when he finally hung it up it was the passing of an era, I think the "Big Three" Reed, Kelly, Thomas all come by at his press conference.

What is really painful is looking back on the season, we had so many games that we were favored by, so many teams with rookie QBs or backups. At the start of the Season I though we would lose one to the Pats, KC, Tenn (with Henry) the Bucs, the Saints (loud in that dome) . I think we had the easiest schedule in decades this year, incredible waste of an opportunity.
