  1. I cant explain it nor will i defend it. It all start with the Ownership of the McNairs. I can tell you I meet old man MacNair, nice old guy, not at all remarkable not seem brilliant man but dedicated. He had next to no money and got on to Cogen which he rode to the top and made a fortune. Cal i have seen his act at little league, rather das tio see him getting pushed around by the obnoxious wife of his, he sits there and takes it. Neither Bob or Cal can be accused of much above a room temperature IQ. Both were very loyal and gracious, generous. Problem with Bob McNair is encapsulated in David Carr story. Carr, first pick in the draft, McNair loved him because he was a family man and Christian, he kept getting extensions because of McNairs influence. Carr, family man, great wonderful. Problem was family came first. Carr was usually the last person in the meeting and the first person out, he was the last person to be a team leader but hey a great guy and family man. That also explains this bizarre psychological hold Jack Easterby has on McNair now...Easterby is like Rasputin and the Russian Czars family....hypnotic almost like control as there world crumbles around them.
  2. I think the Pats had opt outs for older guys with $ that decided if they never play again so be it, they already had a ring and 2020 was going to be a down year without Brady. Thuney they overpaid and wont tag him again.
  3. There will be a bidding war but the cost will be maybe 70% of what it would have cost without Watson letting the world he wants out.
  4. I am one of the LAST people to defend the Texans brain trust but living down here I hear more about them than I care. They got Watson so sign an otherwise Texans=-attractive deal and one of the freebies (or so the Texans thought) they threw in for him to sign is we will never ever want you to go away. LOL. Great example of be careful what you wish for.
  5. Lets see how smart Flores really is. He might actually think he can develop Tua into some sort of superstar.. we will build around him just like the Bills did with Allen blah blah blah. I didnt realize how bad Darnolds numbers were this year and yes he was on a terrible team but his rating has dropped every year. I can see the Jets moving on from Darnold. Its a shame really, we had a great situation in the AFCE...Miami has the low ceiling future QB, Jets squandered possibly ruined Darnold, the Pats have no real QB.
  6. I have always said that. Tua is a man of faith (big plus for the brain dead Texan ownership) and provides "some cover" for the fans as he supposedly has great potential although I think he wil be a mediocre quarterback at best. Miami has plenty of draft capital (ironically thanks top the Texans), Watson gets to go to tax free Florida and play for an upcoming AA HC. Everybody wins in an otherwise terrible situation for the Texans. Watson can force a trade...there wil be a long, long off season and the Texans will cave, write that down and say Roy Batty said so.
  7. I spent a night in Gainesville Georgia about 7 months ago, nice little town but the drive from the Atlanta airport was pure hell.
  8. Well it apparently has your attention.
  9. Oh i agree, the reliance on Allen is what doomed us. We wisely game-planned several teams this year if we take away either the run or pass (more complicated than that but effectively yes) we can win. The Bills must be a DC dream to scheme against.
  10. I think he is there in the 1st, 2nd seems like a huge gamble. And no I am not sold on drafting a RB high, unless you are a real wonder most often they are overdrafted. Even if we get a stud RB doesnt solve the issue, if have to work on our interior O line. If there is a stud guard or on Defense a stud DT or DE i would go there in Rd 1
  11. He will be there for the Bills if they want him imo.
  12. Yes it was so complex it never worked here and one of the reasons we were constantly having to rush defensive players onto the field and players didnt know what top do often.
  13. Is that all? Build a run game and fix the defense?
  14. No. Mahomes has signed the monster contract already, KC cant get a hometown discount for Mahomres like the Pats did year after year and also Mahomes appears more injury prone than Brady was.
  15. I agree and contend they need to draft a QB, they have all the draft capital they need. Flores is no fool, even nothing else we exposed Tua when he didnt have old man Fitzpatrick to bail him out. Either that or Trade Tua to Houston and some picks for D Watson, that would be our worst case scenario imo.
  16. Why do they play an anthem in front of an empty stadium anyway? Most NFL games have been no fans. Is this for TV or something?
  17. 1) The lost in the AFC Championship game in a loud stadium in KC against the world champs. End thread Seriusoly 1) Actually our lines on both sides of the ball were periodically abused. 2) We had no run game largely owing to #1 above. The screwy calendar with Covid non-sames didnt help us either. It happened to us before, recall the Rams game, second half we couldn't stop A Donald, we were lucky to come out with a win.
  18. Actually I am very calm, why are you resorting to that tactic trying to denigrate me? And i am not going to waste my time arguing with you about if Brady can look nervous in a game or comparing Brady vs Allen in a big game mentality.. And that is just the way it is.
  19. Why because it is exactly what will happen if Brady losses and you dont like the conclusions from this narrative?
  20. Good analysis and not too emotional as many are today. I am not sold on Edmunds at MLB. Overall our trenches need a lot of work, esp on the interior. What we need is a big stud DT to play alongside Oliver. We also need to get a stud guard/center, we have been weak there all year. We cant continue on with no run game. I dont know why the regressing in Singletary this year...he never was a speedster game breaker, that is one position we might consider filling.
  21. Well I guess i am just silly and embarrassing myself. Hilarious, 24 hours ago people here were praising J Allen and talking about the future and now has has to work on his mental game. I just cant believe we have a QB that getting beat up in a playoff game actually had the nerve to look dejected. I cant believe our QB could have a bad game, really inexcusable.
  22. I have been defending J Allen in this thread but That is one thing i can agree on. That one pass to Singletary comes to mind, he seemed to be overthrowing some of his short passes. Is the man expected to be perfect every game? Every player has a bad game here or there...this was one of his bad games. I know its a bummer but it happens.
  23. Works hard on his mental game....lol. Yeah because as we all know Josh Allen is not a hard worker, nope not at all. If i wanted to hear this crap I would look up what Nick Wright is saying today. Yeah it is tough to lose a game, isn't it, deal with it.
  24. Context would be nice. Since you are now questioning his maturity, when did he looks so dejected that you are crying about? And that rah rah is crap when you are faking it....but of course you know that because body language is a big thing dude.
  25. Good lord give the man a break, it was by far his longest season EVER at any level, so he looked dejected sitting on the bench...gee I wonder why?
