  1. pretty awesome run. here's hoping that she can use it to build momentum going forward
  2. I don't understand how Wilson and by extension Watson can be frustrated with not being let in on decisions that are made above their head. They aren't the ones running the franchise, it's not their money on the line. What qualifies them to have their input heard over the other players on the team and other personnel people that have an expertise in this sort of thing? Since they aren't necessarily qualified to be making these decisions and aren't financing things, why should they get a say? To me, it just seems that being unhappy about this sort of thing is really egotistical
  3. You play to win the game, not to keep the score close. Whatever the likelihood of either being converted was, the simple fact was that the Bills D couldn't stop them. They NEEDED tds to keep up and instead kicked pointless FGs
  4. Man, it's pick your poison with that KC offense. You blitz they beat you. You don't blitz, they still beat you. Either way they are going to put up points
  5. I'm split on needing another RB. I'm tempted to say that we could use a pass catching/pass protection RB that can also occasionally tote the ball (i.e. a player like Nyheim Hines, James White, Darren Sproles, etc.).. but I'm not 100% sure that we would even use them. We have hardly used Yeldon despite him being a serviceable player in this regard. I think for pounding the rock, we are likely good with Moss next year. He's cheap and he's effective enough. It's not that I don't like Harris.. I just don't think he will be available when the Bills pick. If for some reason he is available, then by all means (assuming there isn't a better player available). Best pick available, always take the talent! Maybe the real answer to what we need is an athletic fullback that can play in pass pro/pass catching and simultaneously help with the running game. Imagine someone that can catch out of the backfield, throw some blocks in both running game and pass protection. The running game was obviously better last year with DiMarco present. I know there were a lot of Patrick DiMarco haters here because he didn't contribute visibly on the stat sheet (I def think he helped the running game when he was in). Maybe someone like Larry Centers?
  6. I would imagine that aside from the chiefs, the plan for other teams would be to slow the game down. The Chiefs and maybe the Packers are probably the only team that can really "keep up" with the Bills offensively. I would play the Bills similar to how the Bills played the Chiefs earlier in the year. Drop a bunch into coverage and force them to run the ball/slowly march the ball down the field. Offensively, playing efficiently would be key because you know the Bills are going to score. But if you minimize the number of possessions each team has then you can hope that the Bills happen to just not have success on their fewer drives.
  7. I feel you man. I started the night tied with my opponent in semis. I had Pitt D and Eric Ebron (who got injured in first half). Opponent had Juju Smith-Schuster. I ended up edging him by 1 thanks to Juju's fumble 😅
  8. i love these obvious attempts to pull the defense offside. the bills do it too regularly. you're not fooling anyone
  9. This was pretty amusing. It's really awesome to have them in the conversation for best team in the NFL. I personally don't have them ahead of the Chiefs, but to just have them mentioned in the conversation about the best team is pretty awesome.
  10. If John Brown was healthy the whole year, we might actually be looking at three 1,000 yard receivers! I doubt many teams have had that!
  11. This nomination is well deserved, he gives back a lot to the community... and has been since the day he arrived
  12. I feel like Wentz is a good player, still, with the right coaches/surrounding cast. However, with that being said.. Hurts is probably the better QB for the Eagle's current situation. With the Eagles offensive line being composed of a bunch of turnstiles, Hurts is going to have the better chance to elude pressure and buy enough time to look downfield.
  13. So in other words, the FO is still caving in to Gase's demands despite him being a lame duck?
  14. If Adam Gase has already blown the entire season, why fire Gregg over losing one game due to ONE awful decision? You already lost 10 others because of the awful offense. The jets have almost none of their defensive talent that they started the year with (Mosely - opted out, Jamal Adams - traded, McClendon - traded, and I think there were others) and the offense turns the ball over at an alarming rate. He wasn't set up to succeed this year. I think that despite this amazingly bad call, he's still not a bad DC. Their D was pretty stout last year when they had their players.. and I'm not convinced that their D is awful this year even without their players To me, it's just a really really odd decision Full disclosure: it pains me to say that Gregg was treated unfairly. The guy is a 🤡
  15. Drew Lock looks like he throws a pretty ball.. too bad it's never accurate. Maybe he needs to talk to Jordan Palmer too
  16. I don't think so, but regardless of his final numbers he has made a positive impact on the defense this year. He's never been a guy that gets "home" a lot, but is he someone that disrupts the QBs rhythm very often
  17. curious to see how tua does in the miami vs la game update: sacked/fumbled already?
  18. Think about how far the average receiver runs on a route.. i'm guessing it is 10 to 20 yards in total? So that's about a quarter to a half of the 40 yard dash. Which would mean the difference of 0.08 is somewhere between a quarter and a half of that difference on an average route. That's probably not enough for clear separation in a straight line run of 10 or 20 yards. Most short/intermediate runs aren't straight line runs, so that's even less separation due to pure speed. But on a deep go route or other extended routes.. you bet that can create separation edit: the other part of that coin is the fear of the faster receiver running a deep route... which can give you separation in your shorter routes because the defender has to be extra careful not to be beat over the top by a speedster
  19. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about Phillips at the moment. I do feel like he has been asked to play in a manner that isn't his strength, but I also feel like he just has to be better. Coming out of college, wasn't he seen as the penetrating DT? Is he not being asked to do that or is he just unable at this level?
  20. Diggs has been great and Vikes fans should be pretty pissed about that trade. I think the best part about Diggs has been his hands.. he doesn't ever drop it. It's just like the Geico commercial..everything sticks to his hands!
