Could see them restructuring Cole but would prefer having both weapons. Regarding the cap, have to believe Star, Hughes, Addison and Butler won’t be on the roster next year. Extend or resign, Diggs, Levi and Williams at OG. Adding a stud OG would help this OL greatly. Needs then are DT, CB, RB and depth at TE and OT. Go get your top FA and then be aggressive in the draft as there will only be few opportunities for rookies to compete for.

Bills need to get off the blocks in the first quarter and not give ATL any hope. No slow starts! Just take care of business. Ryan is still a good QB and does have weapons (Pitts, Hurst, Patterson). Don’t let him just drop back. Have to bring pressure and make him move. ATL haven’t played at the Ralph since early 2000’s. As others have stated, if you don’t bring it every game, you can get beat by bad teams. Detroit over AZ, Jags over Bills, Tex over SD. Bills are in playoff mode since yesterday as there is no room for error. Take care of ATL and NYJ, secure the 3 seed and go into the playoffs with momentum. LETS GO BUFFALO!

First the Bills need to take care of business versus ATL and NYJ. Feels like nothing has been easy for this team this year. No room for error! Secondly, whether it’s Indy or NE, the Bills have to shut down the running game and the Bills offense can’t settle for FG’s. The offense seems to be trending up, but IMO the D worries me. They consistently struggle getting pressure with the front four and struggle to stop the run even when they know the other team is going to run. Getting to the 3 seed potentially gives them another shot at TN (assuming both win).

Defense: let’s grade and comment your grade
TFBillsfan replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills D didn’t give up the big run like they have previously against TN, Indy and NE in this game. However, it’s obvious this DL front four just struggles to win their individual battles. I just don’t see Star, Hughes, Addison or Butler back next year. They need a stud DT to go with Ed. Linebackers continue to over pursue and get burnt by the cut backs. When they did force them into throwing downs coverage was super soft. However, it always felt like NE was getting 4 yards a pop. Rarely do you see the DL blow up a play in the backfield. Super happy with the win but this D got run over on three long drives for TD’s. Gotta get better to make a run in the playoffs. -
2 bad interceptions by Jimmy G and missed an easy TD throw to a wide open FB. TN had no business winning but they did thanks to Jimmy G. Bills will either be a 3 or 4 seed if they win out. Wouldn’t mind a rematch against TN if that were to play out.

Agree. Bills have beaten one team with a winning record thus far (KC). No more excuses just win out and win the division like expected.

12/19/21 Gameday Bills vs Panthers First Half Thread

Another dismal first qtr squandering excellent field position. Regardless of how this season plays out, the Bills need to significantly blow up and go all in on upgrading the OL. -
December 6, 2021 Gameday Bills vs. Patriots* Pregame Thread
TFBillsfan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills need to get out to a strong start and force the Patriots to throw more. If the Bills play up to their potential including the coaches, Buffalo should win. Control the trenches and play physical. -
With Tre out, it’s going to be critical for the DL to bring pressure in addition to the offense potentially scoring more. While I’m not as concerned about the offense, I do have major questions on if this DL is much different than last year. The Bills are currently 25th in sacks with Addison the team leader at a whopping 4 sacks. For all that has been invested in this DL, one has to question if they can truly make a difference down the stretch. Can they stop the run and in obvious passing situations get to the QB? Ed has shown the most potential. Star certainly helps when playing. But overall we are still lacking a difference maker at DE. Groot as a raw rookie has the second most sacks at three. Would love to hear what others think of our DL?

I hate to say it … but the Pats are coming
TFBillsfan replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s disappointing to see so many bowing to the Pats. The Bills face some adversity and many act like we should fear the Pats. As some have said, if the Bills play like they are capable of I’m not worried about the Patriots. A bad loss to the Jags doesn’t change the expectations of this team. Love how the responded today. Now lets beat the Colts! -
0.22 Yards before contact in the running game.
TFBillsfan replied to damj's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s sad that I’m happy if the running game gets a positive two yards. More times than not they lose yards or barely get back to the line of scrimmage. Does anyone have any faith that on 3rd and 2 or 4th down our RB’s will convert. Hell we couldn’t even convert a 4th and inches on a QB sneak without the OL getting blown up. It’s alarming how much our OT’s and OG’s are just getting destroyed. WhIle our D is playing well, our front 4 is struggling to get to the QB with all the money and draft picks that have been invested. Lots of questions about this team. At the end of the day, the criticism is valid based upon what is occurring in the trenches. The major lack of speed at running back is also alarming. How many times have Singletary or Moss gone for a big game with a short check down? IMO, Defenses have adjusted to Daboll’s playcalling. They are very predictable. The lack of creativity, slants, crossing patterns, QB rollouts is missing this year. My hope is this punch to the groin gets them focused. Any chance of COY, MVP or the #1 seed went out the window yesterday with that embarrassing loss unless they literally run the table. -
Bills OL (Ike and Ford) really need to step up this week. Hopefully Beasley and Poyer will be good to go. Bills need to come out strong and not give the Jags any hope. Daboll better have a much better game playcalling this week. Want to see the DL get multiple sacks this week. Go Bills!

TB gotta away w the first throw. Second one not so lucky!

Sean Payton overthinking the play calling. Wow!

NE won’t be an easy out and we will need to play well to beat them. Okay with LAC losing.

Somethings GOT to be done a the interior o line
TFBillsfan replied to TheBeaneBandit's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure what you can do at this point. Sweeney was getting destroyed trying to block. Feliciano had another rough game again. Spencer has potential but he got blown away vs. the Titans so IMO the jury is still out. Things I’d like to see more of. Move the pocket more, draws, WR reverses and what happened w Gilliam playing FB/TE. Our running game just seems like it takes too long to develop and it’s very obvious when we are going to run. -
report- Empire State Development downtown stadium proposal
TFBillsfan replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t live in Buffalo so my input means less. As a fan that comes regularly to Buffalo to see the Bills, I would love the stadium in downtown Buffalo. It just seems right IMO. I honestly don’t see how traffic will be any worse than trying to leave Orchard Park. Regardless of your political affiliation I can only wonder if some of the Infrastructure Bill would be allocated to this project. I read the Transportation Secretary has $100 Billion he has personal discretion over to allocate out. If you’re going to build it downtown now is the time. -
While I believe Spencer Brown has potential, let’s slow our roll. Spencer was a huge liability against the Titans and will need to significantly improve if the Bills are going to reach their ultimate goal. Hopefully the OL stays healthy and continues to get better as the season progresses. Teller would have been solid at OG but Spain was a liability at the time. Sometimes players just need a new start.

Any given Sunday. However, I want to see the Bills get out to a fast start scoring TD’s and not settling for FG’s. Bring pressure on Tua, control the trenches and the Bills should win.
-
Would love to see Gabriel more involved. However, I’m expecting Gilliam will be on the field more with Knox out due to his blocking. Either way I want to see improvement in the red zone. It’s been a combo of things but the playcalling has become questionable once they get to the opponents 20.

Scouting The Tennessee Titans (Week 6 2021)
TFBillsfan replied to Dont Stop Billeiving's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills need to play well to win. Historically we haven’t played well in Nashville. Will be important to get off to a strong start. Control the trenches, keep Henry bottled up and bring pressure on Tannehill. Easier said than done but I’d be pumped if the Bills secure a W and get to the bye week at 5-1. LETS GO BUFFALO! -
Canadians to be allowed into USA by early November
TFBillsfan replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Never made sense especially with the current policy on the southern border but that’s a whole different topic. Glad to see more Billsmafia will finally be able to attend. -
I never understood why Roberts was lined up at WR to open the game. We had Diggs, Beasley and Davis plus others. After the opening ball that hit him between the numbers resulting in an INT, I think that was the end of that experiment. Unfortunately, the game didn’t get any better after that.
-
Having a more reliable TE and improved running game just makes this offense even more dangerous. Defenses have to try to scheme to stop one of our playmakers (for example Diggs) and then Beasley, Sanders, Davis or Knox can go off. Which opens up the running game and then to make it even more daunting you have to account for Josh’s scrambling or running. That’s a lot of pieces for a D to shutdown. If the Bills execute, it will be tough to stop them. Contain Henry and bring pressure to Tannehill and I like our chances. LETS GO BUFFALO!
