  1. Congrats @SDS! That’s super cool, I had no idea you were in that field. Thanks for all you do for this board, and, most importantly, our great country! ????
  2. He is certainly making it hard to cut him. He has made the most of his opportunities the last couple weeks, that is for sure. I think we need to keep him because he’s our only guy that can go up and get those contested balls because of his size.
  3. A rule that the coaches begged for....
  4. Honestly, I’ve learned that unless it’s as egregious as the NRC play in the NFC title game, they are not going to change it. There was a play in the Redskins game Thursday night that was truly a head scratcher. Offensive player was incorrectly called for OPI, and on review, it was UPHELD, which was absolutely ridiculours. Ball was under thrown and he was going for the ball, never put his hands on the defender. And the defender had his back to the ball, just running straight into the receiver. It was clear as day that it was NOT offensive pass interference. Even the commentators were like, “what?!?!?!?” I’ll see if I can find a video. the point is, unless you take the guy out 5 minutes before the ball gets there, they’re not going to change any calls. The review of PI is going to be basically useless. @Chandler#81 heres the link. I stand corrected.. it wasn’t on Thursday night, but my point is the same nonetheless. If THIS is upheld on review, then the entire thing is an absolute joke.
  5. Honestly, I think coaches in general are challenging these just to get a database once we get to the regular season. I have no problem with it. I’d have a problem with it if it were a regular season game... but I think it’s more just trying to get a feel for the new rule and to see how these things are going to be officiated.
  6. As amazing as Beane is at being opportunistic and bringing in good talent, I’m very surprised that Ryan Allen is still on the market. Hell we could bring Brian Moorman back who’s been out of the league for almost a decade and he could easily outperform what we’ve got!
  7. Totally manhandled his guy. Definitely love to see that!
  8. Looked more like a stinger than anything. More of a charley-horse situation.
  9. Just overall sloppy ball tonight. the “glass half full” me says that this is why we play a preseason game, to get this junk out. it is a bit unsettling, however.
  10. Thanks for dropping in, and thanks for bringing well thought-out material to the board. As much as I dislike the Jets, it would be cool to see the Bills and the Jets be the future of the division and have great battles for years to come, all while beating the living hell out of the patriots for the next decade and a half. Good luck to your Jets this season!
  11. Broke my cell phone in college when he fumbled against the Pats in the fourth quarter with the lead. Threw the poor thing straight at the wall. Thankfully, having children has mellowed me out a bit on game days haha.
  12. Jesus I saw the video of him walking out of Gillette and about spit my coffee out.
  13. I’m surprised that half of them can spell a four-letter word....
  14. yikes. that isn't a simple marijuana deal. That's looking at some serious time... career-ending time.
  15. And if not..... still, who cares? At this point, he's not making the team and the game is meaningless. The ONLY thing that may be decided by that game is who is the final WR.
  16. Not just no..... HELL no. RB's are just not that valuable in this league, especially when you have arguably two hall of famers in your backfield already.
  17. I'm going with Knox AND Sweeney.... I know he may be a bit limited, but still. The TE question has become very cloudy with last weeks perfomance from Sweeney. Hard to see them cutting Kroft, or Knox being an early draft pick... but at the same time, i want to see something from Knox, and I want to see Sweeney have another good performance to justify keeping him over Croom
  18. I actually made new shirts for my son and I before the game in Carolina last week, and my wife bought me a new hat on amazon. I’m set now!
  19. Looking at it in a vacuum, and looking at the schedule and saying, "we're better than this team" or "we'd lose to them"... I'd go 12-4. But knowing it's the NFL, and there are weeks you just don't show up, injuries, etc, I'll tamp it down back to 10-6. Would still be over the moon with a 10-6 season.?
  20. ESPN also has Coach McDermott ranked highest on the list of "coaches on the hot seat" with a 73% chance of being fired after this season, so there's that. When anybody who has even remotely followed this team knows that unless we go 4-12, McDermott is going absolutely nowhere. I've stopped putting basically any stock in anything that ESPN says about the Bills.
  21. Congrats brother! Mine is now four and it happened in the blink of an eye. I tell every new parent though, that the first 4-6 weeks are the absolute hardest. Hang in there!
  22. No, it would be 8.2 million in dead money. would only save them actual cash
  23. I guess it makes sense... If you know you're going to suck, and you're going to be re-building, take the cap hit in a year you're already going to suck anyway. That seemed to be the Brandon Beane method and it has worked out ok for us.
