  1. Plus 1. I like him I just don't 12 like him. Heck I don't 22 like him. I would 53 like him though.
  2. Maybe for a swap of 22 for 6, not 12 for 6. KC jumped 17 spots for basically the same trade, why would the Bills do the same for a 6 spot swap? 22 and next years 1st, ok, not for a swap of 12 to 6. I don't care what the Jets set the market at, not every GM is that stupid.
  3. I don't think it was a lack of respect. Once he became a UFA he probably priced himself out of the market thinking another team out there would pay him like the Bears did Glennon. His agent should get fired and he should hire Bradfords.
  4. I wonder if he'll accept league minimum since that's all we can afford right now. Maybe we can teach Star a few patterns on the route tree?
  5. What makes them "bad" signings is the money involved, not the player themselves. I like both players, especially Star. But when I saw the money they paid him I shook my head in disbelief. 10 mil a year for a one dimensional DT is ridiculous especially when there so many needs and so little cap space. I wanted them to sign him but more like 7 mil per. Murphy is a very good player and if he stays healthy should be a good acquisition. Not so much of an over pay as Star was.
  6. That mocks a wet dream, never gonna happen. Even if you don't like Jackson you can't complain about that line up of picks. Not one WR though?
  7. These signings tell me Lamar Jackson will be the pick. With this Right side of the O line the QB will be running for their life.
  8. I just hope next years 1st isn't part of the equation. 12, 22, 53 and next years first is just too much IMO. When was the last time 3 first round picks were part of a draft day trade up? Too lazy to look it up right now
  9. You mean trading away malcontents and injury prone players making massive bank and not producing? Yeah they were talented,.. at sitting on the pine. Lets hold off on fitting Mr. Watson with a yellow jacket shall we. Plenty of teams passed on him. Yes he looked amazing in his limited play and could very well be a MVP caliber player for years to come. But his dual threat style of play can lead to injuries. He's already suffered a serious knee injury and that was in practice. We'll learn more in his second year if it was truly a mistake. And yes I know injuries happen to all players regardless of position and its part of the game.
  10. Outside of overpaying Star he's been aces since taking the helm. Shedding bad contracts, acquiring premium picks, creating cap space and comp picks for next season. I find it hard to believe his job would be in jeopardy if he decided to address holes in the roster and hold off on a QB. But yes, if he feels there is a "can't miss" QB prospect then he will do what he must. Everyone is assuming that to get his "guy" they have to get the #2. Who's to say the guy he wants is not there at 12 or later?
  11. Sure they will, that's obvious. And if they hit it may be well worth it. But if you think Beane is jumping off a cliff like the Jets GM did then you're not really paying attention to his method of team building are you?
  12. And if it doesn't pan out at least they took a shot, right? I mean their roster is soooo strong they didn't really need those premium picks for other positions, right?
  13. 1. They needed a bridge/backup type QB and they got one at a great price for being patient. 2. Don't exactly have the cap space to go "big money" shopping plus the contract given to Star doesn't help either. They did well with what they have and next year will be soooo much better for acquiring FA's. 3. By "allowed" if you mean watch a divisional rival blow their draft pick load to move up 3 spots, yeah you're right. If you think that price was worth it I'm glad your not our GM. I expect the Bills to make a move for a QB, just not a stupid one. 12, 22 and 53 should do it, if not keep the picks and go BPA and fill the glaring holes at LB and WR.
  14. BUST.....Dumb as a box of rocks. Can't comprehend NFL level playbooks.
  15. This would be the ideal situation considering current circumstances. Foles/McCarron and Nate P is pretty darn good. We can address our LB and WR positions with some quality talent. You can do a lot worse than a SB MVP and borderline starter as a back up.
  16. The #3 is worth 2200 a 600 point difference from #6. 37(530), 49(410) and for the sake of guessing let’s say middle 2nd next year 420. Are you telling me they paid over 1300 points for 600 point difference to move 3 spots? Holy Snikees! What will it take to get 2? What will Gettleman ask for and will Beane pay it? Bust out the KY guys, I can see him asking for 12, 22 and next years first and a second rounder.
  17. 3 for 10 is ridiculous. I don't want it to seem I don't like the pick up because I do and let's face it, everybody expected it. I saw him as a max 3 for 20 type. Team has soooooo many holes to spend that much on him. That figure was quoted in the article and not my opinion. I feel he's a 3 for 20 type player.
  18. You know what makes players like Short, Davis and Kuechley better players? Superior talent to what we have in comparison. If you think Star is going to make what we have which is yet TBD Pro Bowl caliber then I have no words. Quoted from an article I agree with 100 percent : You'd think that teams would have learned from the Ndamukong Suh and Albert Haynesworth disasters by now, but apparently not. The thing is, Suh and Haynesworth were infinitely superior to Lotulelei. Both players, at the time they signed their deals, were seen as stellar defensive tackles who could both stuff the run and generate heavy interior heat on quarterbacks. Lotulelei, conversely, is just a one-dimensional defensive tackle. He's strong against the run, but doesn't produce much of a pass rush. I don't understand the money in this deal. Heading into free agency, I thought Lotulelei would get something like a 3-year deal worth $10 million. There's no way he's even worth half the sum Buffalo gave him. It's nice that he played under Sean McDermott in Carolina.
  19. Dude, it's not hate. How would you feel if you were shopping for a Honda Accord and the salesmans opening price was $65k? Sure it was one owner and dependable and started every time but C'mon man!
  20. Looks like Preston wasn't WANTED as much as he was NEEDED.
  21. Maybe he's thinking of Aldon Smith. Brown never played for SF
  22. You've seen him play right? How much could he reasonably expect for a contract? Him and McCarron must have the same agent.
  23. He commented that he wanted to go somewhere where he was wanted. Well, I guess Cincy wanted him to the tune of a 1 year deal. Bye Preston, best of luck. He's Poz 2.0 without the injuries.
  24. I wonder what the league leader in tackles got for a contract?
