  1. Good stuff guys, keep em coming! Very insightful.
  2. No, but wasn’t expecting much. Like everyone else I was pleasantly surprised. I get it, we won’t be big spenders in FA but jeez let’s address the WR and LB spots with quality starters. You don’t have to break the bank for Richardson, Hitchens or Wilson and Gabriel.
  3. Those sure are a lot of quality players acquired for an event that technically hasn’t started yet. Seriously, isn’t anybody else worried most of the top tier FAs are already gone or is everyone confident we’ll get all we need through the draft? Especially after we give half our picks away for a QB.
  4. After the recent trades and picks acquired to really smash the upcoming draft I and I’m sure many of you got really pumped. REALLY PUMPED! But I gotta tell you the euphoria is wearing out really fast because of our lack of activity in FA not addressing glaring needs. Davis: Decent pick up that allows us to move on from EJ with little sting though IMO not as good a player as Gaines scheme wise. Yeah! Doesn’t effect comp picks. Ivory: Meh, may be a decent backup and upgrade from Tolbert but you probably could’ve gotten that scouting the biggest kid at a Pop Warner game. Could’ve done better and cheaper but yeah, doesn’t effect comp picks. Star: Has anyone posted contract details yet? Gotta tell you I’m not upset but at the same time not floored. Worst kept secret in FA this year. Was there any doubt he’d end up here? Best attribute is availability, he’s the Preston Brown of DTs. Occupies blockers and adept at collapsing the pocket when motivated. No pass rush at all, no TFLs. I really hope he’s not a 10 mil per contract because of his connection with Carolina. Kyle W- As a homer I love it, I’ll leave it at that. Solid guy on the decline on a team friendly contract. Position of need, no complaints. Bush- Ok, moving on. We sorely need WRs. Robinson, gone. Lee, gone. Richardson, gone. Moncrief, gone. Gabriel, gone. Wilson, gone. DTs: Richardson, Poe, Allen ( all better than Star) LBs- Bradham, Hitchens, Bowman, Murphy Bridge QB- Keenum, gone, McNown, gone. Bridgewater, Bradford, gone I understand sometimes you have to go back to move forward but it really feels like this regime is gearing for next year when we’re flushed with cap space and are content on just grooming the heir apparent. He’ll have no weapons other than a often hobbled Clay and aging Shady. They better get a bridge QB quick. How about Matt Moore? Another FA splash by the Bills! Somebody talk me off the ledge, please! To be clear I’m still a believer in the “process” and proud to be a fan of this organization. Maybe it’s premature and some major difference makers are still in play so here’s hoping it happens sooner than later. GO BILLS!
  5. Ugh....... Hope it's no more than 10 mil per. Not impressed with this guy, is he bringing Short and Kuchley with him?
  6. I knew it would be a pipe dream to acquire him. 13.3 mil a year for a guard, 30 guaranteed! No way!
  7. Don't understand all the love for Star, he really isn't all that impressive. Pros: Occupies blockers/ Familiarity with McD and Beane and the system/ Dependable, has only missed 4 games in his career. Cons: No pass rush at all/ No TFLs/ Needs top flight LBs and elite line mate Short) to hide short comings (we don't have those) Rather have Poe who is a better all around player. I'd rather pay him than Star who is an inferior player in comparison. That being said, Star is ok if the price is team friendly.
  8. From what I've seen I always felt Rodgers had better chemistry with Nelson than Cobb.
  9. It really is a double edged sword type of dilemma. In one hand you want a "bridge" stop gap type QB who can mentor the young possible franchise QB you draft while he develops. On the other hand you just made the playoffs and like the taste of it. You don't want to trot out someone who will embarrass your team costing you wins and a possible post season berth at the expense of not rushing the prized jewel.
  10. I'd prefer the Class of 2004. Big Ben: 2 rings Eli: 2 rings Rivers: pro bowls and playoff appearances JP: fond memories
  11. Next you'll tell me to trust some type of "process" or something along those lines.
  12. Who would offer more than a 1 year deal with an option? Cmon, you know he’s staying in NO.
  13. Valid point but Vontae can play the slot effectively if Leonard Johnson isn’t retained and can fill in on the outside when EJ is hurting.
  14. Doubt it but it would be quite the move. Tre, Vontae, EJ, Poyer and Hyde is very impressive.
  15. In this scenario you may have a point. It wouldn't take much for Miami to move up one spot and sweeten it with a future first. Also allows Oak to have a better position at 11 compared to 21. I've been under the impression for so long now that we have to give up 21 and 22 to get our QB. I'll rephrase my original post. If we need to get in the Top 3, Miami doesn't have the ammo to match us?
  16. Agreed, plus they have nowhere near the ammo Buffalo has. They'd have to sell their soul to the devil. No way they can match the Bills and maintain quality picks for the future.
  17. Did you read it? Bills give up their 2019 first rounder and 21 this year to move up to 10. You don’t think that’s enough?
  18. Agree, but you’re giving up 21, 22 and more. I have no idea who Beane and McDermott covet. I like Rosen also but if I can keep 22 and scoop up Mayfield, woohoo! Make no mistake a FA vet will be here. We are not going Mayfield/ Peterson or Rosen/Peterson into the season, are we?
  19. For who? Star? No thanks. To me he’s the Preston Brown of DTs. Durable, serviceable but not so impressive. No pass rush, no penetration, no TFLs. Basically occupys blocks in the hopes someone else cleans up. He doesn’t have Short, Davis or Kuechley here. Poe? Too expensive but would be a much better choice. Having Phillips with KW as a mentor would be ideal.
  20. The down side is waiting and taking the chance of missing out entirely on the QB you want. Looking at this makes one think that the Bills are intent on keeping 21 and 22 until they see Mayfield in play late and make a move not having to mortgage #22.
  21. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/two-round-2018-nfl-mock-draft-browns-still-take-qb-no-1-after-tyrod-taylor-trade/ In short, trade up to #10 with Oakland and grab Baker Mayfield and keep #22. Grab LB Rashaan Evans at #22 Grab DT Harrison Phillips at #53 Grab C Frank Ragnow at #56 ( don't know much about him but I disagree, especially with WR Christian Kirk still on the board) Who wouldn't be happy with this?
  22. I wouldn’t feel too bad about the Browns right now. They have some really good talent in place and primo draft picks up the wazoo. If they draft Barkley and if their OC “Taylor’s” a scheme for Tyrod that maximizes his strengths they will be competitive and possibly be a 6-8 win team in their first year together. Remember, we tried to make Tyrod something he isn’t ( a pocket timing throwing QB). Cleveland if smart won’t do the whole square peg in round hole routine.
