  1. 2000 Draft. I was sitting next to Bill Polian and I was banging on the table for the Bills to pick this upstart QB from Michigan. Only me and Bill had a first round grade on him. He turned out ok. We ended up with Erik Flowers, Travaris Tillman, Corey Moore, Avion Black, Sammy Morris and Leif Larsen instead.
  2. Why not? He's the best dual threat offensive player in the league. If an often injured WR whose posted (1) 1000 yard campaign in 4 seasons and barely is over 3k in his career can get 16 million a year then why shouldn't the best RB in football? From a team perspective, no. No GM would but he is the best at what he does and has proven it for years now. BTW: The WR's name sounds like Whammy Samkins.
  3. While I think there are no obvious generational talents in this group it is the best QB stacked draft in quite a long time, since 04 maybe? I don't think any of them are worth mortgaging the farm since there are so many holes and the team is more than a QB away from scaring anyone.
  4. No they don't, they have quite a few. 1, 4, 33, 35, 114, 150, 175. Has anyone looked at their roster lately? Allow me. Taylor and Darnold at QB. Coleman, Landry, Gordon WRs. Crowell, Johnson and quite possibly Barkley at RB. Ogbah, Garrett, Nassib, Peppers, Gaines on Defense. Njoku at TE and Bitonio on the OL. I'm sure I'm missing some decent players. By the time its said and done they will be LOADED!! for the upcoming season. Will they do anything? Well they are the Browns. They may have a similar turnaround like the Jags last season, maybe not as deep a run but I can see 7-8 wins.
  5. I can appreciate you liking the risk. The Bills have been an embarrassment in the NFL for a decade and a half (excluding the drought breaker). But if they give up all that collateral and whiff? OH NELLIE!!! But if they nail the pick and go into next season with sizeable cap space the future looks extremely bright. Roll the dice Beane, go for it.
  6. Did he really try, or did he just have to suit up against Vlad the Bad and Jordan "ills" Mills?
  7. I believe this to be true. If Cleveland doesn't take him at one we are screwed as far as a trade up is concerned.
  8. Colts/Jets trade definitely burned us at the moment. But,.... Does anyone else think a "behind the scenes" deal was already in place? Getting a 3rd for Tyrod definitely had the feel of a pending future transaction with the Browns. Unfortunately the Jets screwed that up jumping to 3. Now the only game is with the Giants if they covet a particular. Hope the friendship between Gettleman and Beane is on good terms.
  9. Gotta agree with you, he's grown on me. I'm hoping he's the 4th QB taken for two reasons. 1. We won't have to mortgage the farm and can address other positions. 2. He'll have such a chip on his shoulder he'll make it his personal mission to destroy the QBs picked before him and the teams that drafted them.
  10. Meh, Last I checked it was still 11 vs. 11. On paper it does looks pretty intimidating.
  11. How good is the pie in the Bills Cafeteria?
  12. Turnovers with interception icing?
  13. Move over Zay, you got a roommate.
  14. What about us fans? Maybe one day we'll get the help we need. Jesus help us.
  15. Yeah, we cut him loose and he signs with a team with an actual QB and becomes a perennial pro bowler. Such is the life of a Bills fan. Ladies and gentlemen, the next Cris Carter.
  16. I'd like to rescind my guarantee due to the recent developments.
  17. I'll go one further. I guarantee they'll be at least 2 on the field come opening day.
  18. I would give them the 1st rounder next year and keep 53 and 65 and next years 2nd rounder. Next years 1st rounder will most likely be in the 30-32 range anyway.................
  19. Plus 1. I like him I just don't 12 like him. Heck I don't 22 like him. I would 53 like him though.
  20. Maybe for a swap of 22 for 6, not 12 for 6. KC jumped 17 spots for basically the same trade, why would the Bills do the same for a 6 spot swap? 22 and next years 1st, ok, not for a swap of 12 to 6. I don't care what the Jets set the market at, not every GM is that stupid.
  21. I don't think it was a lack of respect. Once he became a UFA he probably priced himself out of the market thinking another team out there would pay him like the Bears did Glennon. His agent should get fired and he should hire Bradfords.
  22. I wonder if he'll accept league minimum since that's all we can afford right now. Maybe we can teach Star a few patterns on the route tree?
  23. What makes them "bad" signings is the money involved, not the player themselves. I like both players, especially Star. But when I saw the money they paid him I shook my head in disbelief. 10 mil a year for a one dimensional DT is ridiculous especially when there so many needs and so little cap space. I wanted them to sign him but more like 7 mil per. Murphy is a very good player and if he stays healthy should be a good acquisition. Not so much of an over pay as Star was.
  24. That mocks a wet dream, never gonna happen. Even if you don't like Jackson you can't complain about that line up of picks. Not one WR though?
