  1. I hope they beat the Patriots this weekend. I will watch the game and hope for it. But I also know they are 26-2 against Brady, so realistically they have about a 7% chance of winning the game. As long as they have Brady I will never, never go into a Patriots game thinking they have a real chance of winning. This is where games like Cinci, Carolina, and LA come back to haunt you.
  2. Anyone here had the chance to watch Drew Lock from Mizzou play? Looked into him a bit and started to get interested in the schedule he played against this year. From what I looked at he seemed pretty successful against some very tough pass defenses. Main issue looks to be accuracy but I havent seen enough games to know whether drops had anything to do with it. He is only a junior so its possible he doesnt declare, but given his size and success against good teams I wouldnt be surprised if he ends up the late climber before the draft,
  3. Its mindblowing. Like I said I have no idea how these guys will end up but at least play with house money when its given to you
  4. Love the logic that the 6'5 230 Quarterback prospect who has been mocked in the top five of the draft since the college football season started is suddenly being thought of as a 4th-5th round prospect despite throwing 26 more touchdowns than interceptions and winning 75% of his games. So sick of the argument around a quarterback being good or not centering around whether he has good wideouts or not. Deshaun Watson threw to multiple 1st-2nd round talents while at Clemson. Mason Rudolph will be a 1st round pick, 2nd at worst. I will go ahead and say I have no idea how good he will be in the NFL, nor do I know how Rosen, Jackson, Mayfield or Darnold will end up but if these guys are making informed decisions and not out smarting themselves Rudolph will go before the likes of Clayton Thorson and Josh Allen. Holy crap.
  5. I agree with all of these points. Officiating is a joke. The same 12 teams made up 80% of the playoff spots over the last three years. Hard to keep watching when you have a 20% chance of watching your team play in the playoffs if you arent in New England, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Carolina, Seattle etc. However, to know if the NFL is really in decline I think its important to look at comparative data with other network shows and sports. Is the decline because of the NFL, or is it in step with television ratings across the board. I think its entirely possible the game is losing steam but I wonder if this is indicative of the change in technology.
  6. Its harder to watch on the radio.
  7. I'll freely admit I am too lazy to read the article. But quick question here, how did he have a time share with Derrick Johnson when they both are starting ILB in the 3-4 the Chiefs run? Not being a jerk just trying to understand, is there another ILB they run out there as well? Also just checked the stats. He looks to have 20 tackles in 7 games, no sacks, no PD, no INT, no nothing. I am not going to put up to much of a fuss over a guy who would be on pace for 45 tackles and not a blip on any other part of the stat sheet over the entire season.
  8. Guess BS Bruce should have done a bit more to keep it from happening then. It will be Norton this year and Del Rio next.
  9. Thank you sir. Man I love that show!
  10. The only thing I think the Pegulas should do in respect to the Bills is push for the team to use both of those first round picks to move up for a quarterback.
  11. I don't know how many coaches we have to go through before everyone starts to realize these guys are all the same. They run the same plays, they have the same logic. Everything, down to the whether they choose to go for it on 4th down or not is scripted from coaches that went before them. Do you recall last year when Anthony Lynn said he had a chart he used to determine whether to go for it on 4th down or not, and when asked where it came from he didnt know? It came from other coaches. Coaching in the NFL is so similar that any deviation is negligible. Belichick's winning percentage prior to Brady was .427 (think Mike McCoy as a head coach) 1 winning season in five years (16%). After Brady everyone thinks he is a genius. Nothing changed except having Tom Brady. And its not limited to Belichick. Pete Carroll prior to Russell Wilson .489 winning pct, after .675 John without Manning .472, with Manning .791 It wont matter if its Rex, Jauron, McDermott etc...bottom line is until the Bills find a franchise Quarterback this will keep happening. But we are arguing about everything but the root cause here.
  12. Please for the love of God lose out and draft a quarterback. It is the only way this will ever ever change
  13. When someone compares Mayfield and Manziel its the first sign that person has only watched Mayfield here and there. Manziel was a scramble first quarterback that rolled out constantly and played sandlot football. A majority of Mayfields throws come from the pocket and the ball is out quick. Not at all the same player. Similar height maybe but Mayfield is a pocket thrower. Mayfield has been held to a different standard. He grabs his nuts and he is classless. Rosen wears a f**k trump hat and people rave about his social awareness. Give me a break with the fake outrage. Please go on and tell me how classy Brett Favre was.
  14. Possibly, and maybe its an evolving issue though. 50% of the Quarterbacks taken in the draft last year were African American.
  15. Regardless if he said it recently or not, the narrative is out there. Heard it yesterday on WGR and now ESPN is running with it. Bottom line is good Quarterbacks dont get benched. Ask Warren Moon, Donovan McNabb, Dante Culpepper in Minnesota, Michael Vick, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Jameis Winston and you can even add Marcus Mariota to that mix because I dont think its fair to limit the scope of the statement. The statement is wrong, and detrimental in so many ways.
  16. Leading up to the draft last year I thought a good comparison for Petereman was T.J. Yates, similar size, skill set. Will have to see how it shakes out but my favorite part of the move had nothing to do with Peterman. For me it was more about moving forward from being stuck in the cycle of 7-9 or 8-8. The need for this team to bottom out and get a legitimate 1st round talent at quarterback is long overdue. Best case scenario Peterman is great and gets us to the playoffs Worst case scenario he is terrible, we lose out and have a top 10-15 pick in the draft this year.
  17. I agree, I walked away from the last week's game with the same feeling I had when I watched E.J. play Jacksonville in London, I cant watch this guy play another down in the NFL. Schopp is hurt because he put his neck out three weeks ago to write about how Tyrod is better than everyone thinks. You'd think with all the football the guy has watched over time he would understand stats dont tell the entire story. E.J. also threw more touchdowns than he did interceptions, didnt mean he could play quarterback with anything short of ineptitude.
  18. I think he is an absolute long shot to sign as a starter anywhere next year, but I would imagine Cleveland would be in play if Hue Jackson remains the coach. All of the Denver stuff is old now, and was always predicated on the fact that Kubiak was there and used to be Tyrod's coach in Baltimore. Oddly enough, we got to see exactly how that would have turned out this year in Buffalo with Dennison as his OC. Who knows maybe Arizona, Washington, or Jacksonville but he really should only be signed as a backup from here out.
  19. Remember the huge to do about Deshaun Watson's lack of arm strength at this years combine? Had the weakest arm with the poorest velocity of any quarterback there. If any of these guys truly had a "noodle arm" they wouldnt be in the NFL. Peterman can make up for the lack of velocity by being ahead of the curve when it comes to reading defenses and getting the ball out quickly. Where I think the real issue is with Nate is his inaccuracy. Has a tendency to miss wide and high.
  20. They are winning on other teams and what do those teams have that we dont? Rams- #1 overall pick from last year at QB Eagles- #2 overall pick from last year at QB Patriots- Tom Brady Jaguars- Played Tom Savage and Jacoby Brissett four times this year as well as a last place schedule.
  21. Can you tell me what we won with that young talent? Can you also explain to me what that young talent outside of Robert Woods who was a free agent and not a cast off is doing to light up the league? Not alarming at all, actually pretty common sense based.
  22. Not being a good defense, run game, blocking scheme was not Tyrod's fault. I concede to you there. However, if you expect everything to fall into place for the perfect season then you'll be waiting a long long time for a good team. The fact that we have a awful quarterback was however Tyrod's fault, and having a good quarterback takes care of every other issue you have.
  23. Do you guys not remember him trying to find a starting job last offseason when the Bills pulled back his deal and re-worked it? Or am I alone in that?
  24. Agreed Tyrod isnt Brady. But you dont need Brady you could even have Dalton and make it to the playoffs without a great defense. Tyrod is a bottom tier NFL starting quarterback who really should be a backup somewhere. On the Marrone tip, you do know he is an offensive coach right? Giving him any credit for his defense is an atrocious take. I am willing to bet anything the Jaguars fall off majorly next year when Andrew Luck and Deshaun Watson are back and they have to play a 1st place schedule.
  25. The defense was never downright awful. They were middle of the road with Rex, and have had a few bad games this year, just like defenses always always do. The Patriots defense is horrendous, Pittsburgh was terrible for the better part of the last five years. Defense doesnt win you anything! You have to stop waiting for the anomaly like the Jaguars this year, and start understanding what wins in the NFL and Tyrod Freaking Taylor is not it.
