  1. A lot better shape than we were in two weeks ago. I thought they'd have to win out for sure but looks like they can probably afford to lose one game and still get in.
  2. If the Bills win out and end up winning the division I think Josh should get the MVP. Right now I have it. Allen McCaffrey Hurts Prescott Hill
  3. I think I said it in one of my posts, maybe not, but I'd love to see Josh be the greatest of all time when he is done. I loathe the Chiefs, and would very much like to see them fall off the face of the NFL landscape. But, the question asked was why everyone thinks Mahomes is better than Allen, and I am not going to let my Fandom completely cloud my ability to have a real conversation. And to this point in their careers Mahomes has been better in every category. The conversation was never strictly about this year. Letting your emotional connection to something get in the way of your ability to understand reason and logic is a really bad way to go through life. I've been a Bills fan for 35 years, have coached football for the last 10. Never thought I'd have my allegiance and football knowledge ripped apart because I had the audacity to say a guy with multiple Super Bowl wins and MVPs is a little better than Josh. If it makes you guys feel better I've bought spent hundreds of dollars on Josh Allen merchandise for my family and truly think Mahomes looks like Darlene from Roseanne.
  4. And how many Super Bowls did any of those guys win without him?
  5. We are just going to have to agree to disagree. Won't argue that Josh is a freak athlete. But I can't get on board with him processing the game as well, or throwing a more accurate ball than Mahomes.
  6. Again, Kelce is toast and Hill is gone and the team records and passing statistics will be virtually identical even though Allen has Diggs. Do I think Allen wins a Super Bowl in KC yes I do. But your question, along with many others here was, why do I think Mahomes is better than Allen. And because we can't look at the scenario logically, we'd rather talk about hypotheticals.
  7. Josh is a better runner without question. Mahomes is more accurate and their arms are a push. It's incredible to me how you and the like give Reid, Kelce, and Hill all the credit when none of them had won crap without Mahomes. He was the missing piece not vice versa. Same group of people so clouded by Fandom they called Brady a system QB. Meanwhile the guy is playing with crap at WR this year, while Josh has a legitimate hall of fame talent on his team and their passing stats will likely be within a touchdown or 2 of one another and a few hundred yards difference. I guess my football eyes just aren't as well trained as everyone here who can "see it" enough to ignore every logical statistic out there.
  8. Their wideouts hardly ever catch passes within their actual route. They get open because they have a track star playing QB. Easy to get open when half of the defense is chasing the QB around the field like chickens with their heads cut off. Try not to give them too much credit for signing the ghost of OBJ, drafting Batemon who isn't very good, and brining in Agholor who is an average wideout. That said, I wanted the Bills to get Flowers.
  9. My God. Baltimore has no real offensive game plan. It's 4 quarters of scramble drills.
  10. I won't spend much time arguing it. I love Allen and I love the Bills but I won't let that cloud reality. By the end of his career I think Josh will easily be the best QB ever to play here, I also think he ends up a top 10 QB all time. He's on Hall of Fame pace. But he currently isn't the best QB playing in the league.
  11. I don't disagree with any of that. But, when Josh has had the support he hasn't done as much with it. Maybe then we can point to coaching, which is also fair but at the end of the day the story so far is Mahomes has been a better QB than Josh. And when it comes to results without if, ands and buts, I think it's a pretty silly argument to make to say Josh has been a better QB to date.
  12. Completely agree. Been to games with buddies who've spent hundreds on tickets and never make it through the front gate.
  13. They've started almost the exact number of games since coming into the league. Mahomes total (passing and rushing) yards per game is better by close to 30 yards per game, his total touchdowns per game (both rushing and passing) are higher, his turnovers per game (fumbles and ints) are lower by close to .5 turnovers a game, his completion percentage is higher, his yards per attempts is higher, his winning percentage is higher, he's won more playoff games, he's won two superbowls, and has been a league MVP. I mean does that cover enough? Its literally almost eveything you'd look at from a quarterback perspective and Josh is literally worse in every category. What can you point to aside from being a better rusher that Josh does better? Mahomes has been a far superior passer than Josh. And again, when you add both rushing and passing stats together Mahomes is still superior. Mahomes has only started 3 more games than Josh and has 52 more passing touchdowns than him. Not to mention 13 less interceptions. Mahomes didnt play well today, and the Chiefs are struggling, but make no mistake about it, he is still the best quarterback in the league. In my mind Josh is the second best QB in the league, but he hasnt been as good as Mahomes. There is no argument to be made that says he has.
  14. Its just normal NFL nonsense. He's been incredible through his first 7 years. But rather than just say he's been incredible, people had to start putting him in the same conversation as Brady, which is both disrespectful to how truly great Brady was, and pretty much setting Mahomes up for a let down. Mahomes is likely going to end up having his worst full season in the NFL this year, but it still a very good season in comparison with his peers. Just have to wade through the bs to get a sense of what really is going on. For my money Mahomes is still the best QB in the league, but the Chiefs are dealing with the outcome of having to pay a QB huge money coupled with drafting late every year, and his weapons aging out of the league. Kelce is on his last legs, Tyreek Hill's influence on the Chiefs was underestimated, and they've done a poor job of drafting. Championship football takes a lot of things happening well all at the same time.. That said, I'd still take the two championships they have.
  15. Are people seriously pushing for Luck to be in the hall? I havent seen it, but if true, my God.
  16. Shocking a Raiders player comes across as a scum bag...not to mention a former Patriot.
  17. Too much alcohol, too much time from the time the lot opens until the game starts, too little maturity. Took my son to his first Syracuse game at the dome last year. Notre Dame fan and Syracuse fan yacking back and forth all game. Started as friendly banter, got personal when 16 beers between the two of them and Syracuse losing got involved. I love beer as much as much as the next guy but for Christ's sake know your limit and slow down.
  18. Dude why are you being so hyperbolic? I am a Allen fan but you can be a fan and also recognize he turns the ball over. Everyone wants to use this buzzword "narrative" like it's a fabrication. It's not a narrative it's just the truth. He can both be great and turn the ball over. And while every QB turns the ball over, Josh does it at a very high rate. It would be incredibly helpful for him to stop doing that. Newsflash, you can point out a bad part of his game without hating him. Stop being so sensitive. I think it's amazingly obvious Bills fans, myself included, are happy as hell the guy is our QB. Buy it doesn't make him untouchable.
  19. Obviously. But to completely ignore the turnovers it's myopic. It's the only thing that keeps him from being the best QB in the league.
  20. It's not a weird narrative. Bass is 24th in the league in field goal percentage. Sure he may be 2 kicks under par, but given the limited opportunities, 2 kicks ends up being a big deal when it comes to percentage. When compared to his peers he is bad right now, below average, inferior, poor, they all mean the same thing. There are only 4 kickers in the entire league who have kicked enough to have their stats counted that are worse than Bass right now. Sorry, he's been bad.
  21. Merry Christmas brother. Heres to hoping we are all watching Bills playoff football in the new year!
  22. They are both horribly turnover prone. They have the same exact turnover rate 1.4 turnovers per game. The narrative isnt as strong with Lawrence because he is both earlier in his career, and not as good as Josh, which is to say no one really cares about Trevor Lawrence. That said, 1.4 turnovers a game is absolutely unacceptable. Josh has to cut it out.
  23. Its not really that incredible. Given league average youd expect kickers to be 24/28 against the Bills. Having 3 more made than expected really isn't some sort of gross anomaly. The "bad luck" narrative, in this instance, is more evident when paralleled with how truly bad Bass has been this year. When you're watching games with guys like Dicker doing exactly what you'd expect from an NFL kicker and Ole One Eye Paint misses 20% of his kicks, the bad luck narrative is exacerbated.
  24. Anyone crying about rhe defense 21 points against a team the Raiders just hung 63 points on
