  1. A good coach understands that and schemes to his ability. Plenty of wideouts without a fast first step have flourished in the league. Scheme and effort have to be married together. I like Nabers game but the immaturity and mouth sour me on him a bit.
  2. Saw a few plays there where it was effort. I imagine a guy named Marvin Harrison, who grew up rich, and played football at Ohio State isnt use to a lot of losing or adversity. He obviously has all the talent in the world but is he a dog when it counts?
  3. The coach stinks. Hard to have a run game when you run it 4 times in a half.
  4. Its really sad to have good memories like those tied to a team that cares so little about its history and its fans, especially when baseball is such a historical game. Hopefully Vegas turns that around. I doubt it highly though.
  5. Very sad. My favorite team as a kid. I remember begging my Dad to watch Sunday Night Baseball so I could see Henderson. Pitched side arm in little league and high school because I wanted to be Eckersley. They have a few good young players now, likely to be Yankees in a few years.
  6. I wasnt sure if I should mention the team. Not sure if people still consider the Athletics a major league team.
  7. Maybe because he is 6'3 220 ran a 4.4, had back to back 1200 yard 14 touchdown years, won the Biletnikoff, has hall of fame genes, and the best coaches money can buy his entire life. Its fair to say he hasn't been good in the NFL. But a flawed, overhyped prospect, not so much.
  8. A baseball team took him top ten as well. Special athlete to overcome that size.
  9. Probably has something to do with him owning his own stadium. He doesnt have to lease it from the city. He also made the stadium so it was its own mini city with shops restaurants and hotels. I imagine all of those things bring in revenue for the team.
  10. Just not his children...he said f them kids.
  11. You draft players for multiple years, not just one. A lot of complaints coming from fans about this, but the Bills have done a great job of not willingly putting their players in bad positions. Whats best for the player is whats best for the team. Heard a lot of media guys talking about the reinforcements coming but to expect players to come in and make a giant difference having not played football for months is a little odd.
  12. Getting a kiss on the first date is nothing to shake a stick at.
  13. I think he's been pretty average, but I also get the sense he's been playing through injuries. That said, coverage relies heavily on pass rush, which hasnt been fantastic either. Small sample size, I have every confidence he will get better as the year goes on.
  14. Its not the last 1pm game at the stadium. They play the Bucs at 1pm at the stadium in November. I followed up later in the thread to say I understood why the tickets were expensive, just crazy how expensive.
  15. I can't believe its been almost 20 years but Langston Walker was an absolute monster of a man. Spencer is similar in height, but I think Walker played close to 400 pounds at times.
  16. I dont mind Leading the Charge, its fine, and I am partial to Howard. The one on Spectrum with Stevie Johnson sets the standard for horrible.
  17. Cool to see she is doing media now.
  18. How is Montgomery not a starting running back somewhere?
  19. My issue is there is 18 and a half feet between posts on a field goal. Put the ball there, or its no good. Instead we are arguing about the four inches at the top of the post because the NFL is idiotic.
  20. Outside of the top of the upright. Should have been no good. I cannot believe its 2025, Elon is putting chips in people's brains, and we cant figure out field goals.
  21. Helps when you have a 5th man running a spy and keeping him from running straight up field.
