  1. I have a feeling he is going to stay available for awhile.
  2. Thats a pretty wild stat. Looking to find reasons to feel positive about this game because I know this week is going to take forever.
  3. Based on seeding alone I would take the Chargers over the Texans or the Commanders over the Bucs.
  4. Took a look back at recent playoff history since the NFL added the 7th seed. 7th seeds are 1-6 against 2nd seeds. Not counting the Superbowl lower seeds are 16-32 against higher seeds in that same timeframe.
  5. Its good he has plans. The problem is I don't think he has a whiff of an idea about how poorly the Jets organization is perceived by potential coaching hires. It reminds me of when Ralph thought he could bring Cowher to Buffalo. Woody's plan should include a bridge Quarterback and Head Coach and bottoming out to try and go get Arch Manning.
  6. How many big plodding wideouts are successful in the NFL anymore? I don't think he is a guy you can stick outside and expect tons of production from. If you go back and look at Gabe Davis' from his rookie and 2nd year I think you'll see a very comparable player. Not especially fast, doesn't catch the ball incredibly well but can give you some production as a big slot and on go routes. Maybe in time he will be something special, but I think the more likely outcome is a Michael Wilson/Gabe Davis type.
  7. Not a starter but probably stole Spector's roster spot for next year.
  8. The best and most predictable part is he hasnt bothered to consider he may be part of the problem. He isnt a young player anymore. He relies a ton on speed and maybe, just maybe he doesnt have the jets at full blast anymore. Dolphins are going to need a really nice deal to eat 54 million over 2 years, especially when they are already 15 million over the cap for next year.
  9. There are coaches you can just tell are out of their depth. Ben McAdoo, Freddie Kinchens, Antonio Pierce all comes to mind. Mayo is in that group, easily.
  10. Just checked on fanduel 8.5 over there. However, it looks like the Ravens just went ahead of the Bills for Super Bowl favorites.
  11. Looks like Broncos fans are very confident they can come in here and provide an upset. They dont seem too worried about the Bills at all.
  12. Which I completely understand. More just from a Bills fan side I don't like to take too much joy is another teams misery because of how fast that can change.
  13. It would have helped the Pats sure but they are still going to get a very good player at #4. We can laugh all we want but they likely come back next year with Vrabel as the coach, a good young QB, and a more talented roster.
  14. Schwartz's defense is currently ranked 29th in points given up, the Bills are 12th. The Browns are only one spot better than the Bills in yards per game. That's with an elite pass rusher. Why would you take a net loss to change defensive philosophies?
  15. Started to feel bad about the talent he was given then reminded myself he has enough money to say no to jobs. He should have said no and spent time figuring out why he failed in Buffalo. Instead he'll never get another OC job again.
  16. I feel like I always do about defense. If the offense isn't good it won't matter.
  17. 100% all Hollins. Hes a complete loon but he is our loon.
  18. Thats exactly what it is. Its called a head tap. Anytime anyone goes over the other person's head to dunk or catch they do it.
  19. So if we hire a offensive minded head coach what happens to the defense? I ask because it's seems like a majority of the opinions here say our defense is what causes us to lose in the playoffs. That defense is currently ranked 9th in the league with talent that desperately needs to be upgraded. So you're essentially firing McDermott to hire Ben Johnson to do what exactly? The offense is already ranked 2nd in the league in scoring. Has Ben Johnson shown that he is a better game manager than McDermott? Its not like the team is losing in the wild card or not making the playoffs at all. They are consistently losing to the World Champions in the playoffs. Just like 30 other teams. You don't fire a proven head coach for an unknown.
  20. Id pump the brakes on this one. The offense has been great but I am not sure how many of their best plays were a result of the scheme. I feel like the Bills do a lot off schedule as a result of Josh buying time on scramble drills. I feel like more than ever Josh is holding the ball for a hell of a long time.
  21. If anyone deserves a decent xmas present from the Bills its this guy. Even a quick and dirty of what 500 NFL football games cost and you have most people's retirement.
  22. I mean coaches in their 60s have won 5 of the last 7 Superbowls so that's kind of debatable.
  23. It's not going to be an easy fix and may take a bridge coach like Rivera who can come in and get the organization stable before a blue chip coaching prospect will even consider the job. It's funny to a point but also a sign the organization may finally understand how bad they really are and in need to build some stability. You can't just throw an aging hall of Fame quarterback or a media consensus coaching prospect at it and hope it works.
