Is Boston Media finally starting to sour on Bilicheat?
thenorthremembers replied to muppy's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's the end for him there. He is a good football coach, but Tom Brady made him the best ever. -

Stopped watching this when Von called Tremaine, Tremaine Edwards. -
Knows the offense, close with the Franchise QB, and plays special teams. Not just a dried up former 1st round pick that people think should be good but isnt.

Both I guess. But mainly the plastic surgery and botox.

Why do people do this?

Manti T'eo Netflix Doc - The Girlfriend Who Didn't Exist
thenorthremembers replied to stuvian's topic in Off the Wall
Gonna bottom line this one, the "girlfriend" is a seriously mentally ill person that is very lucky he did this to a good person like Manti. What he did was psychotic and reeks of narcissism. Should Teo have been smarter, yes, but its sad that he had to take the brunt of the burden for the other guys illness -
I'd be incredibly surprised to see him moved. I loved Hunter Long coming out of college, but he was only active for 7 games last year. The guys behind Gesicki have a combined 80 career catches and 3 tds. I dont know maybe they are trying to get Charlie Woerner from the 49ers but even that guy has only had 8 career catches. Just seems really odd.

Watching him in college I thought for sure he'd be an pro bowl Guard. Never thought he'd make much of a tackle however. Glad to see him on his way, and cant believe they got anything more than a 7th.

Howard Simon "Winding down" from WGR
thenorthremembers replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
He does High School locally and a few UB games. I say I think he is next in line as he appears to have taken over for Murph during the lead up to pre-season games with Eric Wood. I don't mind Murph's playcalling, just as good as the mindless talking heads that the television networks roll out. -

Better get use to Sal. I have a strong feeling he is Murph's backfill when he retires. -

Started listening to Howard when I moved to Buffalo for college and he was at Empire. Weird how someone you dont know can be a big part of your life for 20 years. Always been a big fan of his ability to connect with his caller's on an emotional level. Well done Howard. -

Right, but why not force them to do the work. If you're doing the work for them, then they can focus on other areas. While they may know it, they still had to go through the process of figuring it out. I absolutely hate the idea of these guys going on these shows and breaking down the plays. Its the NFL, dont give anyone anything.

I think they will do well this season because their schedule looks incredibly easy.

Jordan Poyer: a guess @ his new contract.
thenorthremembers replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
Derwin James is 26 years old and in the prime of his career. Think he will be looking around the average of what Harrison Smith and Quandre Diggs signed for as they are closer to his age at signing. Given the normalization for the higher cap, that still puts his salary around 15-16 Million a year. Love Poyer but no way I am signing a 31 or 32 year old safety for that type of money on the cap. -
Said it since before he was drafted, small, weak arm, injury prone qbs with no elite skills should not be drafted in the 1st round. That said, dude needs to be in a west coast timing based offense that utilizes his smarts and quick release. The throws he was trying to make in that video didn't show that in the least. Long term backup.

Because a lot of parents view their kid as a lottery ticket. I coach JV Football and I hear parents screaming from the sidelines to put their kid in or freaking out over play calls. Meanwhile they cant get their kid to practice on time or send them with the proper equipment. They think their kids perceived talent entitles them to playing time, even when they don't make it to practice or study their playbooks. Entitlement.

The market is dry because most of the teams that potentially need a QB have someone slotted in as a starter at this point. As such, you can either give up a pick right now, and throw all the chemistry your starter has built with his team out the window or you can wait for the 49ers to cut him and try and sign him. Either way the guy is a free agent in March and I think it'd be completely foolish for a team to trade for him and then have to pay him as well. Unless you job is on the line you may as well see what you have at QB and try to sign him in the offseason if your current starter poos the bed.

Best part is he was the 3rd punter taken in his draft class.

Author Salmon Rushdie attacked at lecture in WNY
thenorthremembers replied to BillsFan4's topic in Off the Wall
Thats fair. But I think if you're unsure what happened its probably just better to report that he was attacked, and wait for details for supposing either of those things.
