  1. I'd love to take a look at Malik Hooker, Karl Joseph, Keanu Neal. All guys that are safeties, high prospect talent that may do well with a change of scenery. I think Malik Hooker would be great here with better coaching. I don't see how Tenn let's him walk but if they do... Jonnu Smith. If Indy let's him walk.... Marlon Mack would be a great addition to this offense. I'd also bring Hassan Reddick, De'Vondre Campbell, and Anzalone in for a visit, at least. I'd like to see us at least take a look at Denzel Perryman too. May allow us to kick Edmunds outside (if they decide that's the route they want to go).
  2. I think a question the FO will have to ask (I'm not sure this has been a response): Is the fall off from Hyde to Marlowe THAT great? If it's not and we can save 5-6 Mill, I wouldn't be surprised... I love Micah Hyde and what he brings to this team but as the players always say...... it IS a business.
  3. He had 3 carries since week 6 or something. He still averaged 5 yards a carry on Sunday. I'm more worried that our backs that played all year avg'd less than 4 ypc and can't catch a ball.. than a guy that was inactive all year and had >50 yards in the AFCCG
  4. Yeah, plays like running into your own blockers.... that never happens in football.
  5. For sure, I don't think that's a bad spot either. I just think San Fran would make more sense for him.
  6. I've never understood the Morse hate / "cut him" takes. I think Morse has been great this year and in his career. As much as I hate to say it, I think Smoke is gone. Addison, Butler, and Jefferson should be upgraded as well.
  7. I don't think Rodgers is going to another team that has no talent. I can see San Fran (he played his college ball at Cal and I'm unsure of where he grew up)... That would be a Super Bowl team the instant he signed there.. I understand his frustration, though.
  8. I will say this: Yesterday, the Chiefs from coaching down to players, looked like they've "been there, done that" and the Bills looked like the new kids on the block "learning as they go."
  9. What did I comprehend wrong? Eh, I think that would be a shame if that was holding him back. Most of those were pre-NFL for him.
  10. No one is not hiring coaches because of their skin color. Stop with that. You mean to tell me, in a league where winning means everything.... it means more money for the owners. In a league that is giving out draft picks for hiring minority coaches.... a league that is 70% minorities as players..... An owner/ GM is going to skip a candidate that gives them the best chance to win because of their skin color? For players, we don't say: "Hey this QB is good and gives us the best chance to win, but we're going to pass on him because he's a minority" It's also not happening with coaches. Edit: If you're going to use Eric B.... He's been interviewing for YEARS. Maybe he doesn't want a specific job or maybe he is just an awful interview with a bad plan. We don't sit in on those interviews.
  11. To be fair, we're not in the locker rooms. Maybe he has coach written all over him. He was also in the NFL for a VERY long time. It was the same thing with Vrabel. McCown is older than 5 or so head coaches in the NFL right now, too (for what it's worth). I wouldn't call this desperate and I wouldn't think this would hurt their chances of keeping Watson. I think it would be helpful in doing so, to be honest.
  12. 100%. I'm really not sure Taylor has worked out well, at all. Time will tell. I just meant that in terms of.... It doesn't matter how long you've been in the league coaching if someone sees your talent. Josh McCown just got a head coaching interview today and has never coached in the NFL or college for a second.
  13. Most would have said the exact same about Buffalo? You need people in place in order to overgo an overhaul. It doesn't just happen. It starts with: Owner belief in the new staff. New GM. New head coach. patience. Right people in place. You don't just walk in and say "wow it's done, this is now a great job!" Zac Taylor went from ASSISTANT WR coach (2017), QB coach (2018), HEAD COACH (2019)
  14. This. Not related to your reply per se but I don't buy into the whole "why go to Detroit?!" mantra. 4 years ago, many would have said, "Why go to Buffalo?": Cap hell, awfully ran organization, taking over after Rex, never win, no playoffs in 14 years. etc etc. It just takes the right people at the top to turn things around.
  15. Honestly, reminds me a lot of the McDermott hire. "Let's see, we don't know much about him but I like his philosophy to building a team and culture."
  16. That was a very weird and uncomfortable video.
  17. Class. I hate Tom Brady but I respect him. I hope this is Josh/Pat/Burrow/Herbert, etc one day.
  18. What should we do man?! Every time he played good competition in college, he didn't play well.....
  19. Haha man, I don't think he will to be honest. I'm just saying, it could be more favorable for us this year since they'll more than likely be "off" OR Stef and Beas will have a biggggg day if they decide to press AND have Peters on Brown.
  20. I'm not saying I necessarily do. I'm saying that I think Brown will be more effective on Peters this year because they won't be pressing as much. If they're dumb enough to put Peters on Browns and leave the other 3 (and Knox) with less competition. Fine by me. Again, I expect there to be a lot of motion to be hoenst.
  21. There are so many variables. Our receiving core last year was not what it is today. Allen isn't. Last year, the Ravens were able to press and play man with the blitz (Peters is INCREDIBLY physical) and Josh wasn't getting the ball out or hitting the mark. This year? Great, press and play John Brown with Peters, good luck covering Beas, Stef, Gabe, etc. Josh's ascension will limit the Ravens chances to press Brown, which will result in him having a much more effective game (whether it's Peters or not). So I'm telling you, adding Stef and "new" Allen will make this matchup for favorable. If they play man and blitz, it will be a long game for the Ravens and it won't matter if JB is getting beat.
  22. I think we want Peters on JB for the simple fact that everyone else is a MUCH more favorable match up with Diggs. We will be using a lot of motion.
  23. "Singletary is only effective when there are holes." As are 99.9% of running backs... see Zeke Elliot who was once seen as the best in the game when he had one of the best offensive lines ever fielded.
