  1. Yeah, I would assume that as well. I think Corey Davis will be cheaper than John Brown, as well. Although we're trying to update speed and I'm not really sure Corey gets us there. Jonnu is a fast TE / Big that is something like the Bills need. I'd love a lot of 2 TE sets with Knox and Jonnu (assuming Knox takes a big step)
  2. I can't help you if you haven't watched the game and/or don't understand the important of a true 1T in this defense.
  3. Not sure if you watched the games this year...... he was missed.
  4. Well, literally 90% of defenses Star has been on have been top 10
  5. Exactly man. I’m ecstatic as to how far we’ve come. Especially Josh Allen. Someone said this in another thread, “if someone says they expected more out of this year, then they’re lying” this team put an entire city on their shoulders and gave them something to look forward to every week. they gave us an expectation of winning.
  6. That and he did come off of ACL surgery which... does affect a DT quite a bit. I think we’ll know more about him next year.
  7. Yeah! It’s cool just to look back at thoughts on where we’ve improved and where we still need to go.
  8. Yeah, much different issues now. It seems as though now we're looking for depth, speed, etc as opposed to cornerstones. We've come a LONG way. I'd have to assume it was Phillips, yeah. Yeah Edmunds... man he was good his rookie year and even into last year.
  9. LOL what? That post is from 2018. This is a post for us to see how far we've come and the things we USED to have to talk about vs now. Did you read the OP at all? I'm not being sensitive in the slightest.... did you read what I bolded? The italicized and bolded is the title of my old post.
  10. This was my first post on this board (October 15,2018). We had just played the Texans, Josh got hurt (I believe) and Peterman came in and was atrocious. The board was going nuts with negativity (shocking, I know) and we were all trying to figure out what was wrong. Similar to today... we're looking at how we get better, what's wrong, where did we screw up, etc. I thought it would be fun to stop, smell the roses, and see how far we've come in just 2 seasons. Below is my first post on this board from 2018. "I sincerely don't get all of the negativity on here.... (this is the title of the old post) When you look at our team/FO/ etc, etc... They came in with a pile of you know what as a team. They came off of Rex/ Whaley regime that strapped this team against the cap and left it talentless. They took that team to the play-offs with none of us expecting it (while completely gutting it in 1 year).... while trying to fix the cap issues. Say what you want about Beane and McDermott but those that refuse to see the cap as an issue of talent acquisition are simply not seeing the big picture..... money = ability to acquire high end talent and/ or system role players. Where did they spend the available money? Defense... and that defense (which is essentially all Beane and McDermott acquired players) is absolutely balling out. I think this coming off-season and draft are going to define this regime. They absolutely have to address the offense in every aspect. I do believe Daboll has called some absolutely atrocious games this year, yet we are still competing. I sincerely hope that his inability to call an effective NFL game does not hinder the growth of Josh Allen. Think about where we are as a team and the cornerstones we have.... Seemingly top 3 secondary (with a second year CB that is most likely a future All-Pro) A 20 year old stud at MLB (and Milano growing into a nice player) A young DT that has played well above where he was drafted and has been very impressive A left tackle that is young and improving with every game A young first round QB (and this regime believes it's their guy) 80+ Million in cap space next year 10(i believe) draft picks We have many many important pieces in place for a promising future..... I think we need to be patient and look for the growth of this team and players throughout the rest of this year. Just my .02...."
  11. Mr. Wizard, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
  12. He hasn't but he did start over Pat Mahomes in college before getting hurt and transferring to Cal. Also Jamal Adams said he's "no doubt a starting QB in the league" (for what it's worth, coming from the most overrated player in the league)
  13. Yeah, the great thing is, we don't NEED splash/ big name players. I think moving forward, we're going to have to get those in the draft. We need depth at DL/Pass/CB. Again, looking at how KC is built and more of the "better teams" around the NFL, they're very top heavy in terms of cap distribution.
  14. Here's something to "un-spoil" your day. We have Josh Allen.... they don't.
  15. 22 mill is in roster bonus next year. 60 mill dead cap hit then goes to 31. use spotrac it breaks everything down, it's an awesome tool.
  16. And everyone else Mahomes- 24 Hill- 16-18/yr Kelce- 12/yr Chris Jones- 22+ Clark- 26+ Matheiu- 19/yr Eric Fischer- 15 Hitchens- 10 Schwartz-10 EVERYONE ELSE <4
  17. I'd love to take a look at Malik Hooker, Karl Joseph, Keanu Neal. All guys that are safeties, high prospect talent that may do well with a change of scenery. I think Malik Hooker would be great here with better coaching. I don't see how Tenn let's him walk but if they do... Jonnu Smith. If Indy let's him walk.... Marlon Mack would be a great addition to this offense. I'd also bring Hassan Reddick, De'Vondre Campbell, and Anzalone in for a visit, at least. I'd like to see us at least take a look at Denzel Perryman too. May allow us to kick Edmunds outside (if they decide that's the route they want to go).
  18. I think a question the FO will have to ask (I'm not sure this has been a response): Is the fall off from Hyde to Marlowe THAT great? If it's not and we can save 5-6 Mill, I wouldn't be surprised... I love Micah Hyde and what he brings to this team but as the players always say...... it IS a business.
  19. He had 3 carries since week 6 or something. He still averaged 5 yards a carry on Sunday. I'm more worried that our backs that played all year avg'd less than 4 ypc and can't catch a ball.. than a guy that was inactive all year and had >50 yards in the AFCCG
  20. Yeah, plays like running into your own blockers.... that never happens in football.
  21. For sure, I don't think that's a bad spot either. I just think San Fran would make more sense for him.
  22. I've never understood the Morse hate / "cut him" takes. I think Morse has been great this year and in his career. As much as I hate to say it, I think Smoke is gone. Addison, Butler, and Jefferson should be upgraded as well.
  23. I don't think Rodgers is going to another team that has no talent. I can see San Fran (he played his college ball at Cal and I'm unsure of where he grew up)... That would be a Super Bowl team the instant he signed there.. I understand his frustration, though.
  24. I will say this: Yesterday, the Chiefs from coaching down to players, looked like they've "been there, done that" and the Bills looked like the new kids on the block "learning as they go."
