Fact Check: The Bills lost another starting CB in offseason in Levi Wallace and at draft time that was the only open starting position if Tre was coming back in 2022. Beane was drafting a CB even if Tre was healthy. One needs to have a pipeline of key position players on cost controlled contracts.

Tre's OJT during Day 1 at move to Safety
-
Though it has appeared in several other threads already it warrants front page PR IMHO. #93 Bryant stops 3 dudes and plants the 300 lb FB at end of play. And Edmunds stones the TE in motion. And Jones, Emili and Settle create a body pile on the leftside. Milano is a heat seeking missile when kept clean!
-
I disagree, Reasons why: Tre is a top 10 CB in the league in the prime of his career and is only 27. Woodson moved to S only when he went to Ravens at age 34. Tre only weighs 180 lbs. And as you noted, is not a sure tackler. Not ideal traits for a S in Bills D. Tre has never played S in our system. Several of the young guys, Lewis, Neal, Benford have seen reps there. Hamlin has looked good to date and possesses ideal size, tackling and coverage ability. Benford may be the guy to move given size (6', 205 lbs), tackling ability and demonstrated ability to learn the system. Personally I am good with Poyer and Hamlin at S and and encouraged by the surplus at CB we will have once Tre get back. Tre and one of Jackson, Elam or Benford at outside CB. With Taron Johnson and Cam Lewis to play slot.

GTFOH! I am a Pitt Panther football fan and can attest to the fact that Kenny is not a running threat. 416 carries for 809 yds is less than 2YPC. He did have 20 Rushing TDs in 34 games at Pitt. He is a threat to run in goal line situations like last week

A Few Thoughts About the Ravens Game, in no particular order
freddyjj replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was actually #93 Brandon Bryant who blew that play up by fork lifting their 307 lb fullback a full 3 yards back and pancaking him! Edmunds plugged his hole by engaging pulling H back. Here is great video breakdown of play by Geoff Schwartz -
Well steelers scored 4 Tds on offense before switching to Pickett. He got 2 TDs running it in himself in debut. That equals Steel ers passing TDs ytd. Bills cover.
-
Food for thought on Steelers after 4 games Have only scored 6 TDs on offense Giving up 130 yds on the ground per game Have only scored 2 passing TDs Questions for Bills Weird that Josh got treatment on throwing hand at end of Miami game yet never appeared on injury report last week. If his hand is bothering him - might it be why do many errant those yday? With Crowder out and L'il Dirty in concussion protocol who plays KR and PR. Guess Shakir on punts and Cook on kickoffs? With less WRs healthy does Dorsey go big and use 21 or 22 formations?

Quarter Pole: Unexpected Results Around the League
freddyjj replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lol. So should we be afraid of them more than your "better coached" Steelers Gimme a break. Too funny -
I tore ACL so agree on back pedaling and changing directions being stressors. In Bills run looks Poyer is usually the force or in box safety - not Hyde. Hyde plays deep in Cover 1 more than Poyer. But Bills often use their safeties interchangeably.
-
If you play S in Bills D then you are a key in run support. And you may be asked to drop back into a different coverage look. Can't see how all the thumping with Online and running in coverage as a S is easier than CB.

When would we hear if Tre is coming off IR?
freddyjj replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
From USA Today 8/30/22 Cornerback Tre'Davious White will start the 2022 NFL season on injury designation. On Tuesday, the Buffalo Bills cut their roster down to 53 players. In doing so, the team also announced that White has been placed on the Reserve/PUP list. White has not practiced at all this offseason due to a knee injury. Eligible to come off PUP today, Will need to be activated within 21 days or go on IR. -
NFLPA initiating investigation into Tua’s concussion protocol
freddyjj replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Scott - my take is he never was evaluated for a concussion and therefore avoided entering the league's concussion protocol altogether. As Miami officials (at home btw) within minutes of the Sunday injury informed the sidelines and media that Tua was being evaluated for a "head injury" and then bypassed all concussion protocols with the back injury nonsense, they may be facing some serious consequences. Hope the young man recovers without incidence. -
My memory goes back to Chris Miller - decent QB who was forced to retire after 5 concussions in 14 months. It got so bad it took him 2 hours to drive home from stadium when he lived 15 minutes away.

Agree OLine looked sluggish off snap but it was the S Holland who beat Dawkins and Motor to cause the strip/fumble.

Mitch Morse is the lynchpin of this line

FYI folks, Mancz started the entire 2016 season at C for the Texans. Van Roten's first start at C in NFL was this past SUN -
Just what I said. All show, no substance.

I stand corrected - Moss was in on prior 2 plays. -

Not sure why he is that guy either. He missed the block on the S on the sack/strip of Josh. And on his long run, all I could think of was that's a long TD if Cook ran that same play.
