John Brown and Beasley are having solid seasons playing higher on the depth chart then they should be. But after those two the rest of our WR core is a joke. And the coaches know this because every week it’s a decision on who is inactive between Foster, McKenzie and Williams. Roberts is lucky he returns punts or he’d be in the mix also. Everyone on this board thought Beasley would come here and be our Edelman. If he was anywhere near as good as Edelman he’d still be in Dallas. He’s a #3 WR on almost every team in the NFL except Buffalo. John Brown is on his 3rd team in 3 years, that doesn’t happen to #1 WRs in the NFL. Stevie Johnson had a solid career here playing the same roll. He’s the top guy because we don’t have any other options at this point. That’s a management problem. This is an upgrade over last years crop but it’s still lacking. I like John Brown and Beasley a lot but in my opinion the Bills to have to go get a real #1. Josh has to start improving also. Offense is relying on it.

Singletary finishes with EIGHT rushing attempts
BananaB replied to wiseman3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We move the ball better as a team when Singletary is getting handed the ball. It’s just that simple. It’s weird Daboll can’t figure this out. Gore is not a threat and right now neither is Josh Allens arm. -
100% problem with the Deep Ball this year.

Fans gotta relax and sit back and watch. They complain that we only eat ***** teams or only beat them because of their own mistakes and not the way we played. We also lost 2 games in the same fashion. 9 games into the season we have only let 1 game slip out of hand this year, that’s big for Buffalo. Allens the guy right now, it isn’t changing. Seems some people on this board go from one thing to the next with him. He cleans one thing up and they just move on bitching about something else.... My biggest complaint about Taylor was when the game was on the line his play seemed to get worse. Allen is far from perfect and has a long way to go, but when times ticking down and we need a score he has done his job. With our defense that translates to Ws. Years ago I seen an interview with Bellichick and they asked him what he liked most about Brady coming out of college, his answer was that at the end of games that’s when he played his best football. Its actually how Brady’s first few years in NE looked also. Allens got a long way to go but has shown improvement along the way so far. Games aren’t gonna be perfect, possessions aren’t gonna be perfect but if he keeps finding away to put us in position to win that’s all that matters....Winning by 1 is the same as winning by 20, it just isn’t as flashy. -
A big part of it had to to with a great D and a solid run game. Flacco was far from good his rookie season, he did improve in his second season, but was still not a finished product then. You could also put Eli on that list in my opinion. Some QBs struggle some don’t, they are all different players in different situations. There is a lot we don’t see on a day to day basis with these guys. Allen rookie season was a terrible setting for him, that’s why almost everybody who surrounded him isn’t on the team anymore. He’s showed improvement, completion percentage up, yards per game up, INTs starting to go down. I like how he plays his best football in the fourth quarter. Bills fans are just so desperate for the the answer they have no patience and pick every little aspect of his game apart.

100% problem with the Deep Ball this year.
BananaB replied to Allen2Moulds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If that was one of our defenders swatting that ball out, would you consider it a great play by the defender or just bad handling by the QB. Allen has had his problems holding onto the ball, but in my opinion that was a great play by the defender. He hit that ball square on the money. -

LMAO. He’s improved his accuracy from last year, he’s cut down his interceptions the past few games. Doesn’t matter what he does on the field, the minute he starts cleaning up one thing you’ll move onto the next. You already got your mind made up on him, it ain’t changing -
100% problem with the Deep Ball this year.

Yeah, he was great at the deep ball until teams figured out that’s all he could do. Then it was just a lot shitload of 3 and outs. -

After the two long INTs against the Pats he got up in front of the media and said McD brought in our record of how many wins to losses they have when he throws multiple INTs. Since then all his deep passes are long. I think right now he is terrified to throw a pick and it’s in his head. Meanwhile, he has went 4 games not throwing an Int. I bet McD loves that. -
I see a big difference in our offense when Singletary is on the field and Gore is on the bench. Overall though, our O is pretty much the same minus the INTs. In my opinion I think Gore is a waste at this point. His play has dropped a lot the past few weeks, mainly because teams got us figured out when he’s on the field. Add in that he isn’t a threat with the ball in his hands at all.

My brother said there was a similar play in a Pats game a couple weeks ago and it was called fumble

Ball still has t to move forward for it to be an incomplete pass. His hands going forward do not matter if the ball doesn’t go forward. In my opinion there is no clear evidence the ball went forward. None

Totally agree with you, but I think ya wait until the end of the season before you start talking about drafting another QB. Just see how this plays out -
The same old names - Star, Wallace & Lee Smith

I’ll be surprised if Levi is starting next week. The past few weeks have been rough on him. -

We’ll see. They traded a lot to get him. They also cut, released or traded pretty much everybody that surrounded him in his rookie season, so they probably won’t put to much emphasis on his rookie season when they evaluate him at the end of the year. As far as this year goes, we’re winning games, he’s slowly making strides and he plays his best when the game is in the line. Hate to burst your bubble, but next year will be Allen’s defining year. That’s a ways away. -

He has started 18 games so far. ? -
This was a complete team loss. Missed opportunities O, D and ST lost this game. Play calling and coaching was bad too. D played a pretty solid bend don’t break game until the last drive. They again had a hard time stopping the run. In the end you expect a top notch D to come up big when the game is on the line. Passing had inconsistencies. Poor throws and too many drops are not a good combination. The deep pass to McKenzie should of been a TD, you can’t miss that pass. They still put us up late in the game, and then in FG range when they needed it. You gotta like that. Two missed FGs, not much to say about this. You either hit it or you don’t. Play calling you have to question. It was a one score game from start to finish and Singletary got 8 carries. That’s totally ***** Mcdermot made two bad decisions this game that stand out in my opinion. On the first drive going for 4th down when your QB hasn’t completed a pass yet. In my opinion you take the FG try there. At the end of the game it felt like once we hit FG range they they took the foot of the gas and were happy about going into OT. I think that’s crap. 100% a team loss. All phases had the chance to win this game and all phases failed us.

Totally agree with you. They are the backbone of this team, they had their chance to win it also. -

Defense has been together for 2.5 years, offense has been together 9 games. Missed FGs cost us today. We should of won that game. -
His arms kind off went upward on the release but in my opinion the ball went slightly backwards. To be honest I thought the play was gonna stand because of inconclusive evidence. Like I said, to me the ball did not go forward

Too conservative. They played for OT once they hit FG range with loads of time on the clock. I don’t think our games this year are gonna get any prettier . Josh is inconsistent at times and WRs are dropping balls other times. Hate watching other games and seeing WRs make tough catches but our guys can’t, just irritates me. Someone got to be accountable for only handing the ball to Singletary 8 times. We ain’t a passing team and this is the ***** that hurts us the most.
