thanks for the info. I created a DAZN account without signing up for gamepass. I just watched some highlights, and on the computer I see what you're talking about with the stat box. however on my xbox, the stat box thing is not an issue. Have you tried watching DAZN on any other devices aside from the computer? I would be curious to know if the start from beginning works on any apps. I might cave and sign up for Sunday......ugh LOL

UGH. I'm going to be watching the Jets game tomorrow morning with NFL+ and a VPN. The replay seems to actually be a good option, the annoying thing is that you can only play live games on a tablet/phone. Seems like there's no perfect solution right now since they made this switch....I would have gladly kept the old gamepass.

Did they add the option to “start from beginning?” What about score hiding, is that all in order?

Nyheim Hines is suing the person who hit him on a jetski
CheshireCT replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s a horrific accident and I’m really sorry for that family. You certainly make good points that context makes a big difference. Confined water spaces combined with inexperienced or aggressive or stupid operators can create safety hazards. I probably wouldn’t jet ski in such places myself. Better to stick to open water! I still maintain however that jet-skiing in itself is not an inherently dangerous activity. Safety on the water is primarily about remaining alert. Paying attention to the other water crafts and staying away from them. When it comes to physical safety I’m probably the most cautious and risk averse person I know, lol. If I had the financial means and place to ride one, I would have a jet ski again in a second. -

geez, under this philosophy, they shouldn't be allowed to go to the bathroom without a supervision team. -

Sure, there is inherently "some" risk with riding a jet ski as there is some risk in everything we do. 1000 accidents in a year across the ENTIRE USA actually proves it's not a very dangerous activity at all. In the example you pointed out, a kayaker was killed by a jetski. So would you then say kayaking is a high risk activity? If a Bills player was sitting in a stationary car at a stop light and got blindsided by a drunk driver, would you say he shouldn't have been driving and oh well it's his fault for getting behind the wheel? He himself was being safe, he just got screwed by some idiot doing something stupid. -

They are not dangerous. When you're out on the water there is plenty of open space, you shouldn't be getting near any other boats or jet skis. In shallow water or near swimmers you should be slowing down to idle speed. -

My family owned a jetski when I was growing up and I rode it all summer around Lake Ontario starting at age 12. I continued to ride it like crazy every summer until I was out of high school. I never hit anyone or came close to any accidents. Nor did I ever feel unsafe or did my parents think so. I wouldn't consider it a dangerous activity whatsoever. I don't have statistics, but I would say jet-skiing is probably safer than driving a car. Whoever hit him was really really stupid. -
Totally. I remember having a lot of great drafts when we sucked and drafted high. Meanwhile when fans talk about the draft, they seem to forget that HUMAN BEINGS are drafted, not robots. There are infinite variables with humans. And for a player to become a game changing type player, all those variables have to go right. Drafting is an educated guess, there’s no certainty.

What do you all think of games being canceled?
CheshireCT replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was just about to bring up the Kevin Everrett injury.... I personally have always found it kind of insane that such injuries occur and "the show must go on." Where is the line on when to call a game? I'm not sure, but I would definitely support a more compassionate approach to life-threatening injuries on the field. When you come right down to it, football is only "important" because of the amount of money involved. Otherwise it's just a game. -
Checking this out and every link brings me to a page telling me to sign up for an account. is this correct?

Has any OT or lineman period played at age 41? Seems unheard of!! What a freak of nature, LOL.

Are the Dolphins obviously better than the Bills?
CheshireCT replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
The media just stirs in the offseason because they need ratings and they have nothing to talk about. The Bills won the division the last 3 years in a row. No discussion necessary until week 10 at the earliest. -
Ugh, I didn’t sign up for DAZN yet and it sounds awful. Has anyone tried a VPN option with some or the streaming options in the USA?

What Would Happen if the Bills Cut Damar Hamlin? (Dan Patrick)
CheshireCT replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been thinking about this scenario for a long time now, and if his play doesn't warrant a roster spot, it does put the Bills in a difficult position. Football-wise, he made the team last year and started most of the season due to injury. When Hyde went to IR, it's not like the team was like "we better go find somebody." I would say that makes him a legitimate backup for this team. I would also say for his draft position and salary, he gave the team terrific value last season. What is hard to measure or know, is if the incident affected his play in any negative way we don't know about. If he's not playing as well as before, then there's the question of TIME. Does he simply need more time? Should the team give him more time? etc.... tricky tricky. All said, I hope he plays better than ever and makes the team. -
Talk about a terrible break for this guy!!! Some idiot not paying attention to what he was doing may have just cost him his career.

Josh Allen "Elite Player Item" with Madden '24 Pre-order
CheshireCT replied to CheshireCT's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks for the info! In my case, I've never used the Ultimate Team features, so I suppose I don't need this. lol -
I searched the forum already and couldn't find anything about this, sorry if it's a double post. I just read about the Madden '24 Pre-order, which comes with a perk called the "Josh Allen Elite Player Item." Does anyone have a clue what this is???? I never pre-order games and never care about the perks they ship them with, but wondering if this is something that would be fun to collect. in my searching around the internet I couldn't find an explanation either. many thanks!

we've got the younger, fresher Cook already. He wasn't utilized that much as rookie, but you hear players on the team like Von Miller always talking about him....seems like the people on the inside see him breaking out.

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
CheshireCT replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd be surprised. Yeah it would be awesome right now, but then we'd have to kick more cap down the line, plus toss aside some of the younger prospects we just acquired. Going "all-in" doesn't guarantee a championship, and I think you've got a better chance and cracking the superbowl by having a playoff team every year for a decade. Even as much as I LOVE Von Miller, I still question if that move is good for this team in the long-run or not. On the plus side, in addition to his play he does seem to have a big influence on the players around him, so maybe that's the intangible benefit. -
Can't think of a better pick for the Bills. LOVE IT. If he's everything they're saying he is, and he lives up to it of course. Elite tight ends are rare, and look at what they do for the teams that have them. Defenses can't take these guys away, they're annoying as hell to play against.

The wheel turns for the Pats and their fans
CheshireCT replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
yes that's true....assuming that there are any sensible football fans out there 🤣 -

Well you certainly have a point regarding the fans that are into the other sports. But regarding the football side of things, the past is the past. I'd much rather watch our Bills compete for a superbowl than watch Mac-douchebag Jones fart for four quarters, leading one of the NFL's most boring teams.
