  1. It’s literally this simple. The last three weeks, we’ve watched teams progressively exploit our weakness. The line was much better last year. Meanwhile, this offense isn’t designed to dink and dunk, though if the line is gonna suck this hard, they’re going to have to adapt the offense somehow to make up for it. That’s my stupid fan opinion…. meanwhile I’m still optimistic. Our D is still solid and the offensive players still have all the potential to put up points again…
  2. Totally. And what we often don't see as fans is what constitutes "doing the job" on the field. We don't understand all the assignments and what the players are being asked to do. Of course we like to see the big plays, but oftentimes a player is executing his assignment in a non-sexy way. The coaches know that, the fans don't. We watched a lot of Patriots teams crush us during the drought that had a bunch of seemingly "solid" players + Tom Brady.
  3. Exactly. People seem to forget that we're talking about human beings. No matter how much due diligence you do, it's impossible to predict 100% how the career is going to go for ANY player. Oftentimes it's off the field where people have success or failure. That's why we have #1 overall picks that are busts and undrafted players who become hall of famers.
  4. Talk about striking gold. We got lucky that he played so little in college....would have never dropped that low in the first round.
  5. My impression over the last few years is that Tennessee is just a bad match up for this Bills team. I'm curious to see how we do with the upgrades on defense.
  6. I agree with the others who say his limited snaps were likely game plan specific. in terms of the Twitter crap and vaccine protest, I’m glad to see the team is showing they will not be distracted by it. If anyone is distracted by it, it’s Beasley himself, who I do think is limiting his own potential. hope he stays off Twitter and refocuses on football. One thing is for damn sure, you can win the Super Bowl but you can’t win Twitter.
  7. alright I concede. Somehow I haven’t noticed him the same as Diggs, Sanders, and Knox on the receiving end/
  8. Wait hold the phone. Beasley is tweeting again? I thought he promised he was done until the season was done? maybe if he focused on football instead, he might catch some balls??? 🏈
  9. who else thinks Brady sets a world record and throws for 2000 yards and 50 touchdowns on Sunday night?
  10. Who else thinks Brady sets a world record with 2000 yards and 40 touchdowns in Sunday night's game?
  11. Fans are generally impatient when it comes to player development. It's impossible for a player to indefinitely ascend while working on new things. Dips are part of the process. And in this case the "dip" is just that he looks less dynamic, he's not making huge mistakes. Watching Josh develop and improve so fast in his first seasons, I have absolutely no worries about the guy.
  12. and then further, people who had covid just take one shot to be "fully vaccinated"
  13. I also wonder why not. Generally in Europe (which has much stronger regulations for Covid), there is the choice of 3 - vaccinated, recently infected with Covid, or a negative test.
  14. I wouldn't call it a punitive measure. NY State is over 60% vaccinated. For the sake of making it easy, let's say it's 50/50 in the stadium. The 50% vaccinated crowd would prefer to be in a safer environment. No matter which way you go, there's going to be some people who don't like it. Might as well err on the side of public health and safety and piss off the people who refuse the vaccine, rather than the other way around. That's my two cents.
  15. Sure, you're not wrong. Those are also revenue streams. My take on it is that different markets bring different things to the table. Everything together balances out, and the end result is an incredibly successful primary revenue stream that comes from broadcasting. Perhaps on the money side, a team like the Cowboys might hit on all the marks (media attention, fancy stadium, high revenues, etc), but that's the rare example. On that point, I can understand why Jerry Jones might complain. He's thinking, well my organization does it all, why shouldn't yours? But where is the reality? Moves are not always successful and it's not realistic to force the smaller markets to squeeze more cash out of its fans either. Meanwhile, I do think fans care about the NFL's history and those special small market teams that bring so much character to the sport (Bills, Packers, Steelers....). I wouldn't want to see any of those franchises uprooted.
  16. What’s the sense of ragging on this guy so hard? I give him credit for hanging in there and trying to remake himself. just because he didn’t play well in Buffalo, doesn’t automatically make him a bad person. Sheesh
  17. I really don’t think we have homer glasses! Sports is entertainment, and the small markets bring a lot to the table when it comes to that. And if the broadcasting and advertising brings all the cash, why should the league really care about ticket revenues? Sounds like foolish greed to me.
  18. I think something that’s being left out of the discussion is that it’s tough to discount the fan base in Buffalo. It’s good for the NFL and it’s good for business. No matter where you move a team, you can’t assume any kind of fan base, and even if the seats are full, will you get that Buffalo energy.? No. The fan base in Buffalo will literally never budge. Even if the ticket revenue is low, who cares. We see how the entertainment sector capitalizes off the lunatic, table busting fans, and that’s intangible. Now that fans will be back in stadiums, imagine the television coverage of a packed bills house for the playoffs. It’s gonna be nuts after the last 20 years we’ve had.
  19. You absolutely bring up a good point in that there is money being wasted all over the place. Nonetheless, when I see such a fiasco in broad daylight, it irritates me. LOL
  20. You can’t put a multi-gajillion sports industry in the same category as not-for-profit arts and culture which exist purely to enrich the community. Furthermore, these cultural institutions receive VERY LITTLE public money in America and survive primarily on private donations. a sports stadium should get $0 in public funding. That said, I completely understand why the Pegulas are asking for it. It happens all over the place, and if governments have given out such money before, why wouldn’t they ask for it? On principal however, it’s totally absurd to see tax payers financially supporting people making millions and billions individually.
  21. Exactly, no one could possibly have any clue what level of skill or talent this guy possesses. Only the team knows that. There are just two things that are clear to me: 1. He doesn't take up a roster spot, so he's sort of like a free RB option. 2. Time and energy are the most valuable assets, so he must be showing the team SOMETHING that makes them want to invest in him. He's most assuredly not just "a guy." And this is speculation on my part, but I would believe that since he doesn't take up a roster spot, that demotivates the Bills to move him out of his current designation, as long as he qualifies for the program. Personally, I believe he would have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that he's better than Singletary and Moss to make the roster right now.
  22. Exactly, they're keeping him around for a reason. And furthermore the NFL is a business. Wade currently represents a very cheap extra running back. I think in order for him to make the roster, he would actually have to be better than all the backs on the team. In that respect, he's at a disadvantage.
  23. I actually don’t know anything about what happened in Dallas? What was that about? I mean if it’s for competitive reasons I understand if a player is unhappy, but then again when he came to the Bills, there was no sure fire indication they would be this good.
