  1. The point was to downplay the role of the qb while talking about a couple of subpar starters and how they played a role as well. It’s evident. Why else would you ever bring them up In reply to a post about tyrods Role. If not for a weak ass comparison, then why? You’re not gonna admit it. You’re being difficult for the sake of it at this point. We at least have one thing in common. We’re both happy with the way things are going now and hopefully the next qb never is never the subject of debate. Have a nice day.
  2. So what was your point then? Why bring them up at all if we agree their impact wasn’t on the same level?
  3. That’s a lot of mouths to feed. Im annoyed becuz I’m still wondering what the guy could look like as the focal point for a top qb. Maybe it’s best we never find out. Haha.
  4. I read exactly what You said. And while I don’t usually go to bat for trans, he had good reason to call out the comparison. It wasn’t good, man. Suggesting that a guard, an injured backer, or a bad rookie had similar impact on the season as a qb, even a subpar one, isn’t the best route. It just doesn’t make much sense. Am I reaching a bit in saying that’s what you are suggesting? why would you bring them up even in the same area code if that wasn’t the case. Again. Qb is the most important position when Taylor is playing bad but if anyone brings up his role in the playoff birth then you try and lump in his role with a guard and bad wr.... come on
  5. This is a serious question. How exactly is it that qb is the most impactful and important position on the field when arguing against Taylor but if somebody is arguing for Taylor then all of a sudden a guard and a crappy wr have just as much impact? You have to be smarter than this. It’s not a good look man. Win or lose comparing a qb’s role and impact on wins and losses with a guard, LB or wr is really foolish. The qb position is the most important and most impactful position there is. Be it good or bad. FTR I’m 100% happy with the deal for Taylor. But for future reference this is probably why we’ll never see eye to eye on any other topics as well. Making silly comparisons for the sake of trying to prove a lame point.
  6. Welp.... nevermind somebody ruined it. Who was it? Show yourself. Who just had to be “that guy”
  7. Why would beane do all this work over the last year for the long game only to stop at 12 and not guarantee they get their man. Dont be foolish, OP.
  8. Wow. As of right now between the Taylor and Glenn votes the score is 170+ for yes and ZERO for no! Has the board ever been so united?!?!
  9. beane has done too much work to accumulate all those picks and not get "the guy".... 12 still doesn't guarantee one of the top guys. i would bet he's wanting to see this thing through and GUARANTEE their man. i'm banking on another move.
  10. somebody just text me that they could hypothetically get us to #4 based on whatever chart.... but teams are gonna be bidding for those spots so its gonna take a bit more capitol i bet.
  11. wouldn't say it was an overwhelming success. i would say it was a moderate one. they took another teams unproven backup and then.... he won slightly more than he lost we never broke the bank for him made the playoffs and then turned said backup into the 1st pick of the 3rd round. which could potentially be ammo for the future franchise guy. i'm cool with it.
  12. If you honestly think his biggest mistake, after making the playoffs and still having a ton of ammo for a future qb, is keeping Taylor i honestly think you might have been further gone than what I thought. Geez man. For me it was passing on Watson at 10. Even still I would have wanted them to keep Taylor and let them compete. We now know Watson’s obviously would have taken over. And fyi... the bills make the playoffs becuz they did what they needed to do through all 16 games and the ravens didn’t. Why do people try to dampen the playoffs whenever they have to make arguments against Taylor? It’s lame and just not a very good look. One other positive with Taylor being gone is the board won’t have to deal with irrational over the top views and takes about the qb position for a little while.
  13. yes. i believe 100% they will trade up and get whomever they deem fit. and i absolutely love that, even after a playoff birth, we still have the ammo to do that without crippling future drafts. Its called having your cake and eating it too. bills fans deserve it.... and it tastes ohhhh soooo good.
  14. I voted Rosen because I think the colts are open for business, Beane is on a warpath and I think they may honestly wanna go with a rookie right off the bat and he’s apparently is the most refined at the moment. My my man-crush wants mayfield though.
  15. Biggest take away I got from this thread being bumped is it totally reinforces why I think teddy is arguably the worst poster around. Who searches out a thread from 2 months ago after a player is now gone just to say he sucks? So lame.
  16. I don’t get how it’s being celebrated by some more than the playoffs. I just can’t get that. Becuz for me Taylor was gone regardless. It wasnt some big event. It was just gonna happen. It was necessary. It not an exciting moment
  17. It’s a stretch. Unlike some I saw that fact that we could make the playoffs and STILL do what was needed at the qb position this offseason. I dunno why that’s so hard to grasp.
  18. Or I could enjoy the playoffs in year one of a new staff after the roster was gutted and realize we still had ammo to go get the franchise. there’s merit in getting into the playoffs and the experience it provides. It’s lost on some people I guess. I was excited for the playoffs and still trusted they would be in position to do what was needed for the qb position.... those 2 things aren’t mutually exclusive.
  19. I don’t totally disagree with that ftr.
  20. Really interesting take. And I see your point. I hadn’t thought about this.
  21. I’m always the optimist so I’m trusting they hit on their rookie but this makes me a bit nauseous
  22. You’re probably right. I’m overemphasizing a select few.
  23. So it’s not ridiculous that this guy comes on and posts about how excited he is today about this trade but showed slim to none when the bills made the postseason? Right on. The bills havin a new qb isn’t gonna make this guy or the others like him anymore likable.
  24. Gordon played the last 5 games of last year and averaged nearly 70 yds a game with kizer behind center. He’s gonna be just fine.
  25. I think it was just the fact that they had soooo much ammo in the draft they felt they could go a little higher than his value. I mean they made that move, Instantly found a steady qb and STILL have a ton of early picks. I think they probably knew they were giving up a bit too much. And honestly.... after how gordon looked last year and now having Landry I bet you think thought If they nabbed a dude like Taylor they could really start winning some games. When the draft is over he’s gonna have the most talented offense he’s ever had around him.
