Le’Veon Bell - worth $17 mill/yr?
Stank_Nasty replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
its as if bell thinks he's the first RB to ever catch a bunch of passes out of the backfield... I live in erie, pa. right on the outskirts of "stiller" country. he has been BELOVED by that fan base for most of his stay and even they have now grown cold on him. they are all fed up and ready to move on. -
haahaha. I definitely misspelled that didn't I? yikes
-
and you have something to back up that claim?.... as qb's go Mayfield is fairly impressive physically. he's built like a running back from the waist down. again watch brees at purdue and then Mayfield and tell me who looks like the better athlete on the field. you are just tossing crap out onto the wall and hoping it sticks with no real evidence to back it up.
-
the bolded is literally not supported by anything..... I would argue Mayfield up to this point in his career has displayed way better athleticism than brees up to that point at purdue..... and Mayfield WALKED ON at 2 different schools. that takes seriously work ethic. you've shown how much you know about the guy. that's for sure.
-
well the 26th is my birthday..... i'm gonna have to email them and ask if its possible, when they select him, if he could jump out of a cake..... birthday suit optional.
-
I was visually distraught for quite some time last offseason when it was rumored schmidt was in a battle with somebody in the offseason. I had just bought the damn thing in 2016..... I guess i'm off the Mayfield train that I've been on since the dude was a friggin sophomore.
-
right. that's a greeeaatttt reason not to draft a guy..... solid reasoning, bro.
-
holy crap I didn't think about this..... I too have a schmidtty jersey and have wanted Mayfield all along. how did this get by me?

What’s really priceless is I saw shady say all season qb ratings mean nothing and that Our starting qb over the last 3 years rating is inflated due to style of play. But then he routinely turns to that stat to pad his argument if it fits his narrative On said player. I’m not even gonna say the players name becuz I’ve kept myself clean of most debates on him since his departure. ..... and it feels good.
-
well i don't disagree with this. i'll just speak for myself here. whomever they deem fit i'll be on board with. the only preference I have is that its a top prospect. I think the FO and coach have shown enough over the last 12 months for me to have confidence they'll do what it takes one way or the other to get the right guy. unlike a lot on here I don't pretend to know more than the guys that get paid to do it.
-
the winner you were responding to right there is one of the class acts I was referring to..... you don't think he'll turn on a qb in a heart beat? its like dealing with a toddler. there's no rational conversation to be had when he enters it. as for the topic? there was no conspiracy. it was an awful showing from the qb and an awful showing from the RT that has been horrible for years now.
-
I think its more just people pointing out how absolutely stupid it is to say it was any sort of conspiracy and just stating that he sucked..... becuz he did. his career isn't done. he may turn out to be a solid backup. but there is no conspiracy here. he just sucked. and the o-line sucked vs an elite pass rush. mills has been fairly awful for 2 years now. no conspiracy theory needed there. and its not surprising in the least that the same people claiming such idiotic things were all the same characters that were routinely irrational and dramatic about taylor throughout the year. i'm not pointing straight at you, i'm just saying in general..... the usual suspects pounced on this one with the quickness.

Mcdermott OT vs Indy in snow. Poll!
Stank_Nasty replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought it was awful in the heat of the moment.... I still don't agree with it. I get it..... but I don't agree with it. I think getting a yd on 4th down was much more reliable than hoping to pin a team deep, relying on a defense that had just got gashed at the end of regulation and then relying on joe webb to make some plays to get them down the field wherever the punt came in at. but McDermott did more good than bad. so whatever. -
Again, bills HAVE called up to browns for first overall
Stank_Nasty replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And good luck getting them to trade out of #4 if qb’s go 1-3 becuz that means they STILL get Barkley. -
Was breaking the drought worth it?
Stank_Nasty replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What a bunch of garbage. One team did what it needed to over 16 games and the other didn’t. The bills were one of the top 6 teams in the conference that did what needed to be done over the course of 16 games. The ravens weren’t. Maybe we should go back and thank the Steelers for beating them by a point or any other team that beat them for that matter. -

Can anyone look at what’s transpired over the last 12 months and come to the conclusion that that summary there is what’s going on in buffalo? Good lord, dude..... how can’t people grasp that there is more than one model to follow to get the turnaround done. It’s not tank or bust. Thankfully all but 27 poor souls on this board seem to understand that. -

You literally failed to acknowledge the fact that we ar very likely going to make a move to get a blue chip qb this year in the name of proving a lame point about tanking. Solid move, bro. And then there came the dumb-*** ravens comment. Bills finished the season 4-2 and did what they needed to over 16 games. Ravens didn’t. Maybe we should thank the Steelers for beating them by a point a month earlier too. Or any other loss for that matter. It’s sad the things people will say in order to prove bad points. Don’t people understand how lame they look when they say things like you just said there? And as for the browns? What is picking number one gonna have to do with them being better than us next year? Jackson has been very vocal that Taylor is the starter for next season. And you do understand there is more than one qb in this draft right? I gotta go to bed. Have a nice evening Mr. Reed83 -

There are all different types of approaches to use as good examples on how teams turned things around. Unfortunately 23 poor souls out of the hundreds of people on this board can’t seem to grasp that concept. -

Right. Huge roster turnover, cap relief, aquiring plenty of picks to make a move and still get a couple of solid players in the draft, all while still making the playoffs with a first year staff is a “stupid idea”. EXACTLY like the last 20 years. Silly me. Why havnt I realized the only way to do this is to tank. I think I’m coming around though. SMH -

And yet you put so much stock into the picks we could have kept.... they have enough picks to make a move for a guy and still have some nice picks. ...... which you shouldn’t care so much about after talking about how important the qb is. Bottom line tanking isn’t the only way to set yourself up for the future and the bills are literally present day proof of that and how they have worked things since last April. It’s odd a very small handful of you really just refuse to see that. -

There’s 2 sides to this ya know? It’ll also be real fun to come back to this if the bills get their man with a smart trade and still have some picks to fill out areas. I know the 23 characters that voted “no” have a hard time grasping it but there are other ways of turning a franchise around other than tanking.....mind blowing right? But im sure if those said people weren’t happy with a playoff berth with a first year staff after massive roster turnover, aquiring picks to set up a move, and cap relief.... not much would make them happy other than their way or the highway.
