  1. right if you take out the small fact that they just made the playoffs while still initiating big time roster turnover and opening up cap space while accruing a ton of draft capitol its the "same thing" as the last 17 years.... good call, man.
  2. so far we know for sure there are 11 people that frequent this board that are just freaking LAME. EDIT: now 12. 12 really lame individuals
  3. right? who wants the playoffs in year one of new staff while still having enough ammo to go grab a qb they want for the future..... gag me, right? these new FO guys seem to so clueless. what an awful year. it woulda been so much better to tank. don't they understand there's only ONE model to winning consistently and its to just flat out tank? friggin morons.
  4. OP is being quite dramatic. Beane has done so much right over the last year.... and now the jets move up to 3 and all of a sudden it’s the “same ole bills” Take a pill man. Geez. And the tank talks. Gross.... bills ended the drought and are STILL in a solid position to make a move on their guy. Stop being so dramatic and come on down from the ledge, friend.
  5. I think Murphy is gonna be a people’s champ and give us some juice in the pass rush. The fact that he was training at west side speaks volumes about the guy to begin with. That’s a conglomerate of some of the baddest mammals on the planet.
  6. i know they played in completely different schemes but elite space eaters that come to mind are casey Hampton and kris Jenkins. if he can even come close to that sort of role the other players will flourish. its a really underrated role if ya have somebody that does it well..... I would say, judging by the Carolina run d how free keuchly and davis were, Star is a solid one.
  7. This isn’t anything ground breaking but mike garafolo was just on GMFB and stated his sources say the bills aren’t banking on just penciling in AJ week one, didn’t necessarily feel a dire need for a bridge vet, and that they expect whomever they draft to make a case for the Job immediately. Healthy competition. I like it.
  8. right. which I'm totally fine with as long as he's good at it. I live in "stiller" country and they still talking about missing cacey Hampton and his whopping 25 tackles a year becuz he was an elite space eater and made the defense tick.
  9. well I also don't agree with this at all. I think playoff experience is a pretty big deal. this. 100%. I have no clue why people feel the need to make excuses as to why they made it. any team can look back on a season and have a couple of games they can say that about.
  10. the bills most definitely were a legit playoff team. they beat 2 different playoff teams on the road last year. while they were mediocre in a lot of aspects they were very good in others. namely taking the ball away and not giving it away. that's a real thing and teams win when they are good at it. the colts game? it was a blizzard. all conventional wisdom went out the window in that game.... as for the ravens? we did what we needed to do over 16 games and they DID NOT. bottom line. maybe we should go back and credit the steelers for our playoff berth as well. they had quite a drive to finish off the ravens weeks earlier. or how bout and losses the ravens suffered in September? literally any team can look back at a couple of games and if a few plays go one way or the other the season changes or they miss the playoffs. its silly argument against our team, man.
  11. the lamest things I've seen around here lately are people downplaying the playoffs by nit picking certain games and plays that swung the season and acting as if you cant say that about almost any other playoff team for numerous games.... I don't understand how people cant see how foolish that looks.
  12. right. my thinking has been he's not really the "sexy" pick and doesn't flash like some of the others but at the end of the day he might be the best all around and safest bet. i'm partial to Mayfield just becuz of the production and the "gamer" in him.... I was also partial to Watson for the same reasons last year. I was irritated we passed on him.
  13. is it just be or has the darnold hype just completely come to a halt? its like he's been an afterthought over the last month in any qb discussion I see on here or even in the media.
  14. First thing I thought of was him being able to pick his spots to KB.... intriguing
  15. so would I..... but laughing stock? come on man. allen has been in the discussion as a top prospect with darnold and rosen for over a year now. the take was a bit dramatic IMO. now if they decide its gonna be allen and don't even bother to pick up a solid vet for next year then i'll get a bit cranky.
  16. glad he finally got to see the postseason this year. solid career.
  17. Well then I’ll take the statement at face value and respond like this.... sure. Those guys had a role. Not nearly as big as the qb’s. Good talk.
  18. The point was to downplay the role of the qb while talking about a couple of subpar starters and how they played a role as well. It’s evident. Why else would you ever bring them up In reply to a post about tyrods Role. If not for a weak ass comparison, then why? You’re not gonna admit it. You’re being difficult for the sake of it at this point. We at least have one thing in common. We’re both happy with the way things are going now and hopefully the next qb never is never the subject of debate. Have a nice day.
  19. So what was your point then? Why bring them up at all if we agree their impact wasn’t on the same level?
  20. That’s a lot of mouths to feed. Im annoyed becuz I’m still wondering what the guy could look like as the focal point for a top qb. Maybe it’s best we never find out. Haha.
  21. I read exactly what You said. And while I don’t usually go to bat for trans, he had good reason to call out the comparison. It wasn’t good, man. Suggesting that a guard, an injured backer, or a bad rookie had similar impact on the season as a qb, even a subpar one, isn’t the best route. It just doesn’t make much sense. Am I reaching a bit in saying that’s what you are suggesting? why would you bring them up even in the same area code if that wasn’t the case. Again. Qb is the most important position when Taylor is playing bad but if anyone brings up his role in the playoff birth then you try and lump in his role with a guard and bad wr.... come on
  22. This is a serious question. How exactly is it that qb is the most impactful and important position on the field when arguing against Taylor but if somebody is arguing for Taylor then all of a sudden a guard and a crappy wr have just as much impact? You have to be smarter than this. It’s not a good look man. Win or lose comparing a qb’s role and impact on wins and losses with a guard, LB or wr is really foolish. The qb position is the most important and most impactful position there is. Be it good or bad. FTR I’m 100% happy with the deal for Taylor. But for future reference this is probably why we’ll never see eye to eye on any other topics as well. Making silly comparisons for the sake of trying to prove a lame point.
