  1. why do a handful of you guys do this? don't you see how it looks sorta lame when you try and say lynn got fired? the dudes work with the offense is basically what got him a head coaching gig. being overly technical and saying he got fired to prove a point against tyrod is honestly sorta foolish. I dunno how you cant see how lame it is to do that all for the sake of trying confirm an argument against the qb. 16's offense scored points. hands down. it was a good unit. taylor directly impacted that with his arm and legs. they did a good job of scoring points..... and that basically got lynn a HC job. don't pretend that taylor got lynn canned. that's a bit ridiculous wouldn't you say?
  2. 100%. I cant believe he’s arguing the TO differential we had wasn’t a direct impact in the season. Honestly... it’s really the only thing the team did really well. They took the ball away and didn’t turn it over and it won them games.
  3. imagine the secondary in general if the bills had any semblance of a pass rush..... my GAWWDDDD
  4. My bad. Right. Apparently you can’t see how flawed it is to use rating in that discussion but yet anytime he’s had a good one you basically discount it. The team wins in spite of him in those occasions right? Dude... be consistent. If you say rating is overrated then you can’t freaking use it to prove a point. When you do it’s not a good look ftr those games were enough for me as well.
  5. Right. That sums it up. Really that simple isn’t it? This is a joke of a post. Great job. Keep it up.
  6. I didn’t ask that question. Shady did. And then I put in my 2 cents about what you said. If you are gonna lay down blanket statements I’m gonna point out they are missing context.
  7. All the stats need to be factored in. But it was just funny to me that rating means nothing when it’s good and Taylor is just padding stats and not taking risks but when his rating is bad we’ll go ahead and use it to prove a point. Believe it or not I actually agree Taylor’s rating has been padded a bit by his tentative play. Which is why I rarely use it in any Taylor argument. But I would like to see some consistency from people with strong opinions on the matter. If you discredit his good rated games naturally you shouldn’t put much stock in the bad ones either. Correct? There are are double standards around here on both sides. This just happened to be the one I saw this morning as I popped in the forum in my office. It’s never this black and white. But go ahead and take all context out and make a blanket statement like this. Makes sense
  8. there's some sort of struggle going on here. that's for sure.
  9. we need to move on from tyrod..... but its odd that I see you'll use games with a bad rating as an example of that but go on to say that rating/efficiency doesn't mean much of anything when its used in an argument for the positives on taylor. I mean.... come on man..... and any minute now teddy is gonna respond to this post with a passing yd ranking..... just wait for it.
  10. oh look. the worst poster on the board dipped into the passing yard well one more time....... who could have predicted that! too bad that has nothing to do with what I was asking shady about.... another awful moment in the teddy posting timeline. at least you are reliable.
  11. so we should care about the games with bad qb ratings is what you are saying correct? am I getting that right? for some reason this doesn't jive with me when I've been told by you and others that we should pay no mind to all the games where he's had a good rating. I've been told numerous times that rating means nothing... apparently only the games with good ratings mean nothing? let me get this straight. you'll disregard any game he has a good rating but use the games with bad ratings as examples for your point? that's just really really flawed and 100% agenda driven. but at this point from what ive seen around here, I wouldn't expect anything less.
  12. but he's got wr's running wide open all game!!!! I know becuz plenty of posters around here tell me so! on a serious note. I've already moved on. lets just make it official as soon as possible. the only way i'd be ok with keeping him around is if they still go out and make a huge move in the draft to get their guy.
  13. from what ive gleaned he should be a go for week 1 but I heard that they shouldn't expect him to be 100%.... I don't think its out of the realm of possibility to see foles for 2 or 3 weeks to give him another month. if ya have that luxury what not use it?
  14. accept john just stated he wants to move on from taylor.... you just lack the comprehension skills to understand you can go to bat for a guy when he's getting bagged on everyday but still wanna move on and upgrade from said player.
  15. I think jimmy already made it pretty apparent in san fran the rest of the team isn't as big an issue if you have a huge talent at qb. so cap number at that point isn't as big an issue. is it going to surprise you if they give him a huge number and they keep winning like they did to finish out the 17 season?.... and your original rebuttal towards me was not wanting to trade those picks for him based on small sample size... whats a smaller sample size than a rookie having never played a down? its dumb i'm putting this much effort into this argument anyways becuz its never gonna happen. lol
  16. a team wins 5 straight games after winning one all year and the only major change they made was a qb...... does much more need to be said for that? the guy had multiple 300 yd games, was tossing the ball all over the yard and they were scoring a serious amount of points. he had 1500 freaking yds in 5 starts dude. you left that part out. that's one hell of a sample. it wasn't the pats he was stepping in for again...... the niners had one freaking win. and it was against the giants. and if we are gonna argue having a small sample size as not wanting to trade those picks then i'm assuming you aren't on board with using them to move up and draft a qb?
  17. Well he’s played really well since that point. The guy just stepped in on an awful team and helped them to 5 straight wins to close the season. Pretty hard to overlook that.
  18. Right. And then he proceeded to start in 5 straight wins for what was arguably the 2nd worst team in the nfl. lefs not pretend that shouldn’t change his value. I would much rather move for a guy like jimmy g as opposed trading both picks away to move up in the draft. That all being said I don’t believe for a second that any of these rumors are true.
  19. that was a Thursday nighter I believe. the last MNF win though? I have no clue
  20. how does this even come up in a thread like this? this is honestly pretty pathetic and speaks volumes. like, what exactly is the point of this in a thread talking about scheduling where literally nobody has even hinted towards talking about the qb. pretty sad.
  21. Now this is solid reasoning to legitimately move on. Your first statement just wasn’t very accurate. This is a whole different can of worms here. And makes much more sense.
  22. This is just a lazy and inaccurate assessment. His career record is 43-27. He’s had a 40 td season and another with 31. 3-3 in the playoffs with an appearance in the afc title game is hardly getting schooled. It’s also universally known he’s had little help from any other unit on his teams.
  23. my thing is most of the people who probably voted "no" here are also ones that were probably saying all season how they wouldn't let their guard down and enjoy it until they finally saw the playoffs........ so when exactly did they get to enjoy anything about this year? I honestly don't know why some people are fans becuz from what I see they don't seem to let themselves have any real fun with it. I thoroughly enjoyed the season as a whole. I let myself buy into the team early. I got disappointed midseason. and then I let myself buy into the fact that we still had a shot at the playoffs week In and week out to close the season. and then I enjoyed a trip to J-ville to watch it play out. i'm also still happy we made it. most exciting season in years. and all some people did was gripe and moan the whole time. I agree its ok to acknowledge the bills have plenty of holes. but my question is..... if you don't allow yourself to enjoy the season becuz you don't wanna be "fooled again" and then you don't bask in it a bit afterwards, whats the point???? the bills made the playoffs for the first time in 17 years and there are plenty of fans, becuz of how they handled the season, that literally only enjoyed about a week of it. that's absurd and must plain miserable if ya ask me.
