  1. Neither I think they are both Busts! No kidding
  2. 100% true. But it sounds like Dennison may not be the guy they want for that new QB. Dennison received zero vote of confidence when it came to questions about coaching changes.
  3. Realistically as far as names thrown out there... 1. McCoy - McDs first choice prior to Dennison, offense basically goes unchanged. 50% Chance 2. Mike Shula - Pretty sound OC, Maybe Beane prefers him due to history. 30% Chance 3. Ken Dorsey - Big Gamble!!! Young. Maybe Creative? maybe they like what he has to bring as far as philosophy, as well as Brings QB knowledge to accomplish what he want to run. 15% Chance 4. Rob Chudzinski - McD has worked with him, don’t know how well Beane knows him. This is a shot in the dark. 5% Chance Anyone outside those 4 would be shocking.
  4. McCoy was McD first choice before he chose Denver. I’m just saying there’s a good chance McCoy is the guy, especially got the reasons I mentioned. As far as who I want? That’s tough because I’m not a fan of past Coordinators. Yeah so I’m not a fan of McCoy or Dennison. I just think McCoy is more competent. I lean more towards up and comers... Dorsey is intriguing but it’s a HUGE gamble. I really haven’t thought of the exact person I’d want cause it’s not realistic. It could be someone who no one has even brought up etc when there is writing on the wall of what might actually happen. I honestly think if McD doesn’t try to go back to McCoy he may stick with Dennison. Cause I feel that realistically what may happen vs fans throwing out ever Coordinator they can think of thinking there’s a chance.
  5. I’m trying to make a point that running the same system who do you want? Cause I really think they don’t want to change. But if you could grab McCoy.... So McCoy or Dennison? You’re saying Dennison. I’m saying McCoy, plus McCoy has 6 years experience as a QB coach. It’s not a “what OC do you want most” And Dorsey over Culley all day. Under Dennison Buffalo finished what 32nd YPG, 27th Points PG, 32nd Passing yards PG... Yards per game it seemed like McCoy always fair well. Points avg better than 27th.
  6. What is it fans saw of Leonard Johnson they want to keep him here as out Nickel CB / Backup #2? All I ever saw was he was always a step behind and never really In position. No thanks. Nickel Roby filed that spot better. Bring in someone new.
  7. Well like I said he’s had success in the past. And I feel he’s an improvement over Dennison, no real major changes in scheme. Plus also experience alone at the multiple positions I feel helps.
  8. Currently we have Rick Dennison as our OC. Don’t think many fans have an overall issue with his offense, it’s just he doesn’t run it very well or at all. Dennison also has 1 year experience as a QB coach. Not really necessary as an OC but could be very helpful. Current QB coach is David Culley a prior staff member under Andy Reid in Philadelphia , zero NFL player experience. QB coaching experience prior Buffalo was at Middle Tennessee State in 1982 and SW Louisiana from 1985-1988. Current OC candidate that is available is Mike McCoy runs basically the same system as Dennison but the past says his play calling ability is much better, but also has 6 years NFL QB coaching experience. Current QB coach that is available is Ken Dorsey, worked on same staff as McD, has player experience as a QB at the NFL level and has 5 years QB coaching experience. Seems like a no brainer!!! You got guys on the street with TONs of knowledge at positions we need improvement as far as the Coaching Staff goes. Let Dennison go, Bring in McCoy and find Culley an Offensive Assistant job elsewhere or let him go. But if this FO is serious about getting a future Rookie QB, have a Vet groom him with the right coaching staff they need to make these changes. Its night and day as far as experience goes in 2 coaching positions the Bills currently have and whats available. The changes would seem to be an easy transition with so much to gained. It’s right there too! Just make the business move!
  9. So here’s my thing.... didnt Dennison come up under McCoy? McCoy has had some good success, same style offense no? I don’t think people really have an issue with scheme, it’s more or less play calling. Dennison at times was baffling. Why not grab McCoy then? Oh and under McCoy in San Diego was Pete Metzelaars who was the TEs coach. Pete is now the Oline coach at Charlotte Christian??? Pete has a lot of prior experience as an Oline Coach at the NFL level 8 years with the Colts winning SB in 2006. Just options if McCoy gets to choose position coaches, which I doubt. Obviously the Buffalo connection makes it fun. But I think McCoy would have a better grasp of the system and no doubt better play calling ability which was the issue most of the time with Dennison.
  10. So if Elway would have played the whole game? Wins fix everything. Jim Kelly won a lot. TT could have won that game, but TT doesn’t win a lot. But TT isn’t Jim Kelly, we need someone more like Jim Kelly. Funny to think if Buffalo could had won if Bortles went out at halftime. Probably a 6-3 final score. Who would have won would have still been a toss up. Yes that’s a terrible offense.
  11. Johnson can not be our Nickel CB! Bring someone else in please. Preston Brown will make more money else where. He not a true fit for this scheme and doesn’t possess the speed or coverage skills. I like Joe Webb but I think a Rookie QB or Peterman will be the #3 QB, not enough ST value if you ask me. KWilliams Humber solid depth ST Gaines 100% needs resigned Cadet RB3 Thompson WR 4/5 maybe, I’d prefer Jeff Janis Thornton DT5 - Behind Williams, Star Lotulelei, 1st Rd DT & Washington Thomas FS ST Henderson at T is a big ???? Do they keep Mills if the draft another T, is Conor McDermott just as good in 2nd year.
  12. The same 34 year old that threw for 4000 yd, 26 TDs 5 Ints, 68% completion percentage? With 14 years as a starter, who has played in multiple systems, understands the game very well, super smart, continues to excel? That Alex Smith isn’t worth a 2nd? One of our later 2nd rd picks? I think your undervaluing the need for QBs and all that Smith brings to a team. Especially a team with a high pick Rookie they are trying to mold. Well agree to disagree. Vita I feel is not a first round pick. Watching his film I see nothing that screams difference maker. Doesn’t rush the passer well, and sometimes gets swallowed up.
  13. How they’ve talked him up, how his team mates fill about him. Talk about how smart he is. Regardless of the San Diego game, it says a lot that McD wasn’t afraid to put him out there. Yes he wasn’t ready, but he’s also a rookie. I think they know with more time, experience, exposure to the nfl game etc, the game will eventually slow down. It always does. And leadership I assumes it will click for him. Me guessing I think they Bring in a proven Vet, Peterman and Rookie battle. We will see though. What I see happening... Bills trade a 2nd rd pick and a 2019 5th rd pick for Alex Smith. Then, Bills Trade out of one of our 1st round picks for a late 1st or early 2nd also gaining a late 2nd/early 3rd (pick used to get Alex Smith back essentially). Grabbing our QB with the late 1st/early 2nd. So Bills still end up with two 1st rd picks and two 2nd rd picks and also get Alex Smith, or Bills end up with the 21st pick, and 2 2nd picks, 1 early 3rd and get Alex Smith. But I don’t see them grabbing a QB with #21 or 22. They will trade down to gain more picks knowing those #5,6,7 rated QBs are all basically the same.
  14. Honestly I see Buffalo bringing in a Vet. They said so yesterday. I took that as meaning we want to draft someone but they need a Vet to learn from. I’m thinking the Bills don’t draft a QB until the 3rd round. A Matt Smith, Drew Lock, Riley Ferguson etc Unless someone they like slips down the first or second rounds. Im telling you, they love Peterman potential. I see them grabbing a mid round QB to push Peterman. But knowing an Alex Smith, Bradford or Keenum will be our guy the next 2-3 years. But if the Bills like Rudolph they will still do the same, or Ryan Finley.
  15. Gotta get a DT to push the pocket. Taven Bryan DT Florida is by far the most disruptive DT in this draft. He’s not as strong against the run (enter Star Lotulelei) but we are talking pass rush. Dude is strong, super quick off the ball and can penetrate. Also look for Malik Reed Nevada DE in the later rounds. DTs- K Williams, Lotulelei, Bryan, Washington. DEs- Hughes, Lawson, Yarbrough, Reed (also Lorax)
  16. What is it that Tyrod has done or “can do”, that makes fans feel as if there isn’t major room for improvement there?!!! Its laughable!!!!
  17. I think Benjamin has his surgery, rehabs hard core... drops some lbs and comes into next season in amazing shape... 1. It’s a contract year, if we don’t extend him first. 2. I think he may feel he has a lot to prove.
  18. KC destroyed the Titans last Saturday. Then Kelce went out, they left the run game. Defense got soft. If you ask me that’s all coaching.
  19. I’m talking in the film room. Tyrod has never had the opportunity to run an offense. Cause he CANT! Play is called and he runs that play. Vs Seeingvthe Defense, stepping up to the line change the play, change the blocking scheme, audible to a hot route. He can’t do it, doesn’t do it so how can he mentor and teach and say “you see that, I did this, and this is why”. Coaches can only reach out so far, but to see it done, hear it from the horses mouth etc is what Tyrod can’t do to the level needed if you want to develop a playoff caliber QB.
  20. Sad thing is he will land somewhere to mold a Rookie, a bridge as they are calling it here. And I just cringe at the thought of that. I’ll take Alex Smith Bradford etc if we are gonna play the bridge game just to ensure my guy gets the correct mentor ship, that alone is worth forking out some dough.
  21. Yep, coming off a statistically solid season, still looks good. There is value there. And you’re right, some teams have a half a dozen holes (Bills) why not get a somewhat sure bet with a 2nd and save that first to fill a huge need. To many teams in the situation make the demand very high. 2nd rd is too what I’m saying.
  22. It’s nit just the Bills either... he will go somewhere and look exactly the same and fans will see the Tyrod of Buffalo and tell themselves “this is why Buffalo dumped him”
  23. Thing is some fans won’t believe it until Tyrod goes to a different team a still struggles. Once people understand that running around isn’t the best way to play QB. Shoot we watch Brady twice a year and people still love that Tyrod runs around. I would be willing to bet 50% of the time he runs around he didn’t have to. But because his pre snap ability is weak, mental aspect to make checks is weak etc is why he’s running around. For god sake, the play he got hurt there was a wide open receiver he looked right at. It’s like he got himself hurt, that was his fault cause he doesn’t need to be running around. As fans we’ve seen to many opportunities passed up cause of his inability. He won’t be a #1 ever again because of it. There’s too much tape and he’s had long enough where players coaches GMs etc know the truth. Fans can point fingers here or there. It’s false hope.
  24. Is that Dead cap after March 1... or just if we don’t resign him? either way no way Tyrod is on this team. I love my Bills but I’ll sit back and wait til he’s gone, cause he just can’t do it. I still take Smith for 2 years.
