Why would Lamar be upset they signed Roquan long term?.. He’s the one who said no in-season contract negotiations. Im not sure why the Ravens should be giving the “Watson contract” to a guy that hasn’t finished (as of now) the last two seasons… and hasn’t performed at an elite level in the playoffs. His only shot is to go to a team like NYJ, with a lot of young talent, that can pay him elite franchise QB $$$ and have a stacked roster around him. QB6 in the AFC is going to need an elite roster to compete with the 5 AFC QB’s better than him (Allen, Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence).

CLEARLY, the Bills should not intentionally try to concuss Tua. What they better do is have a game-plan in place that tries to knock around Tua. If he plays, we know he can be hit.. and that those hits can greatly affect his ability. If anyone on this team/staff is holding back because of Hamlin, we are not long for the post-season.

Oliver and Davis are next off-season's big decisions, but regardless.. I don't see (as we sit here today) Oliver, Davis, Motor or Saffold moving the needle for what this team is if they all walk. I'd currently bet that they all do, unless they are willing to take very team-friendly deals to stay. Edmunds is the big decision. Poyer is the one guy I'd bet we lose that means a lot to the team.

On paper, when we started the season.. maybe. I expect the Bills next year to have a very familiar roster.. mainly because we have a ton of core guys under contract. Notable Players Under Contract.. DE: Von, Rousseau, AJ, Basham DT: Oliver, Jones, Settle LB: Milano CB: White, Elam, Jackson, Benford SLOT: Johnson, Neal S: Hyde, Hamlin* QB: Allen OL: Dawkins, Morse, Bates, Brown, Doyle RB: Cook, Hines FB: Gilliam TE: Knox, Morris WR: Diggs, Davis, McKenzie, Shakir LS: Ferguson K: Bass On paper, under contract, that's a very good team. We have levers to pull to free up money and not harm our future. Will have to address via Draft/FA.. Safety, MLB, LG, OL depth, DT4, DE5, WR2, RB2, QB2, Punter. I don't rule out next years roster, on paper, being better than this years. An upgrade at WR2 alone makes a huge difference.

It's not gullibility.. he didn't say anything specific for people to fall for. It's just what fans typically do. Not strange to me that a guy who has documented connections to players tweets out "great news about our team coming this week" and people on here are like, hmmm, I wonder what that news could be?
-
If that is the news, of course it's all about his safety and making sure he's ready to go.. but what would be the difference between coming back next weekend (should we win Sunday) vs coming back for the Championship Game? It's not like the Super Bowl, where there's two weeks in-between to get someone ramped up. Either way, it would be him thrown into the fire.. whether its the Bengals offense or the Chiefs offense (most likely). I'd agree that it would be shocking to hear he's practicing this week, and will play this weekend, but if he's given the go-ahead.. it would also be surprising to me that he would be designated to return if we make the AFCCG. I'd think the timeline would make more sense to get him ramped up this week, hopefully win Sunday, and then get him ready to go against Cincy.
-
I'd be shocked if Tua doesn't play, even though it seems to me that the line has to be reflecting people thinking that is not the case.. either way, if he plays, the Miami Dolphins (and by extension the NFL), better hope nothing happens to him. After what our guys just went through, it would be just grotesque to see him go down again like we've seen multiple times this year.

Well said. The two seed was worth playing for. We did, we won. Regardless, we wouldn't have gotten NE anyway if we tanked the game, given we'd drop to the three. Out of all the teams that made the playoffs, who are people wanting over Miami? Chargers?... Ravens? Bills and Bengals are in similar situations.. Home Games against decent teams if their QB plays. If their QB doesn't, about as good as you could ask for in the Playoffs.

We saw Cincy on defense for one drive and only we stopped ourselves with Allen/Beasley not connecting on an easy pitch and catch walk in TD. Without Von and Hyde, our defense is very similar to Cincy's. Both defenses are better than the Chiefs.

Don't look now, but Bills rounding into playoff shape.

We consistently had whoever is opposite Rousseau looping to Canada, completely out of the play. We need someone over there to step up. Meanwhile, would be super cool if Ed Oliver can at least attempt to be a top 10 pick in the middle against good teams. -
Chargers - Mike Williams and Joey Bosa hurt in meaningless game
SCBills replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cappa got hurt for the Bengals yesterday as well.. not sure of the severity. I know the Bengals had something to play for, I guess.. but if he's out for the playoffs, that's 2/5ths of their starting OL out going into the post-season. -
This is the correct answer.

Only caveat is if Lamar plays and the Ravens upset the Bengals, I'd rather play the Jags than the Chargers.

Nope.

If Tua is playing, I’m just scratching my head over how MIN/NY isn’t the 1 pm game. Much bigger ratings window at 4 pm.. Nobody cares about Minnesota and is the NY market that strong to offset no star QB on either side? Just don’t see the juice for that game. Screams 1 pm to me. CIN/BAL in primetime I get, (if) Lamar is playing.
