  1. Welp… guess it’s win two at home and then travel to Atlanta as the road to the Super Bowl.
  2. Ravens guy on with Sal just said he’s hearing Lamar wants 250M fully guaranteed. Good luck getting him Philly/Miami weapons with a QB getting paid like that. He’s not remotely close to Allen and Mahomes, yet wants to get paid more than them by a team in the same conference. I’d trade him as fast I could if I’m Baltimore.
  3. He also plays on the worst defense of the Bills, Bengals, Chiefs. Would you be scared of playing the Rams Defense right now because they have Aaron Donald? Von dominated for the Rams last year because hes great, yes, …also he was on a talented defense with Donald, Ramsey and Floyd out there with him. He would’ve dominated here because of how talented this defense is around him. Sucks to lose him .. but Chris Jones, for as good as he is, doesn’t have that dynamic. Their defense is statistically/analytically worse than the Bills and Bengals.. and that’s a Bills team that played 14 games without Hyde and half a season without Von.
  4. Ok .. Chris Jones is awesome. The rest of their Defense has not been good .. at all. What did Allen do against the Chris Jones-led Chiefs Defense last playoffs?
  5. Pretty meh WC Weekend. Jags/Chargers is an interesting game, but nobody cares about those teams. Cowboys/Bucs will do numbers, but isn’t until Monday. Seahawks/Niners and Giants/Vikings are .. on paper .. games with zero juice. Bills/Dolphins and Bengals/Ravens could have been interesting, but Allen vs Thompson/Bridgewater and Burrow vs Brown/Huntley doesn’t exactly move the needle in generating buzz.
  6. Bills are pretty well set at DL next year. DE: Von (2 guar years), Rousseau (2 years + option), AJ and Basham (1 year) DT: Oliver, Jones, Settle (all 1 year) Bills can simply bring back Shaq on a team friendly deal (if he’s willing) and then draft a DT in the middle rounds. After next year, yes, lots of decisions to make on AJ, Basham, Oliver, Jones and Settle. As of now, I’d extend Daquan Jones. Let the rest play and then evaluate.
  7. Clown post. Does KC have a Von Miller? Does Cincy? Nope … Without Hyde, Bills and Bengals Defenses are pretty similar. Both are better than the Chiefs Defense. If 75% Hyde can come back for a potential Divisional Round and beyond, everything changes for our Defense. None of the contenders have an elite pass rush. If Hyde comes back, we can reasonably have hope that we, again, have the best top to bottom Defense in the AFC Playoffs. Im as frustrated with the Defenses play in past post-seasons as anyone. I’ve been very vocal about it. I’m also not a trollish doomer that can’t simply evaluate talent on the field. We still have talent.. and if Hyde comes back, there’s hope that they can (at least) slow down high powered offenses.
  8. The argument is so overblown. Lamar has no help!!! First off, why are elite TE’s never considered “help”. This comes up with Mahomes/Kelce sometimes. Andrews is a top 5 playmaking TE. As you point out, they’ve used draft capital on WR’s. Josh Allen has Diggs, Patrick Mahomes has Kelce, Lamar Jackson has Andrews … all have an elite receiving option. Allen and Mahomes can win with supporting cast guys like Davis, Beasley, McKenzie, Hardman, Juju, MVS etc.. Why is it only the supporting cast receivers in Baltimore that seem to be the problem.. not the QB.
  9. In this binary choice, I’d go Adams .. but I’d rather get Allen a younger WR2 and not give up what it would take to trade for Adams. This goes for any top end WR under contract anywhere. Would take at least a 1 for Adams, and we’d likely get out-bid with where we’re drafting. Even if we traded Oliver for a 2nd, Bills don’t exactly have the ability to just be trading away multiple picks right now with Allen’s contract hitting.
  10. Josh could’ve easily held out for more money. The Bills deal was very fair. They slotted him in right behind Mahomes. Fair, right now, means the QB is leaving money on the table. Josh was next. Next top tier QB can easily make the case to the team that they are only signing a contract that makes them highest paid. Josh did not do that. Lets see how Burrow and Herbert play out, but most put Allen and Mahomes at a tier above them. That probably doesn’t matter because they’re next. They will get paid more than Allen and Mahomes. Lamar is a tier below Burrow and Herbert. Good luck to whoever pays him top tier money…
  11. Beasley had his defender WORKED on that red zone route against Cincy. We’re a few weeks removed from that .. a few more weeks for Allen & Beas to work on timing. I’ll gladly take more of that in this Offense.
  12. If the NFL truly wants to trial balloon a neutral site Championship Game.. this would be their dream match-up. Guaranteed to sell out and be frenzied crowd. Downside for those who hate that idea.. should this happen.. they will have their ammo to advocate for it moving forward.
  13. Interesting to see how tickets are distributed. Bills and Chiefs both travel extremely well.. That being said, in terms of those within driving distance... TONS of Bills fans in ATL, Florida, Carolinas..
  14. I tend to agree, but if the Bills believe they have 3 big names coming up in the next two years and only plan on bringing back Edmunds.. it makes sense to me. Poyer this off-season and Oliver next off-season may be gone, but Edmunds is such a freak and given his age, allows us to get creative with contract structuring if we choose to backload it. I do think this Defense needs to show they can, at least, slow down top passing offenses in this post-season though.. Over the past two years, they've played well against the Pats and Ravens, but looked helpless against Indy w/ Rivers and KC x2. That needs to change.
  15. Would not shock me, and I may even predict, that next years AFC East consists of: Bills - Allen Dolphins - Brady Jets - Lamar Patriots - Mac
  16. Superstar QB ...... Cook as RB1 next year is projection, agreed, but I think he's showing enough to warrant a lot of confidence in that projection. DE's take time. It just is what it is. Rousseau is currently on track.. but it remains to be seen if he can make the jump from above average to elite. Having, most likely, two more years with Von certainly helps. Agreed. Epenesa and Basham are rotational DE's. You can use guys like that. However, to use back to back 2nd Round Picks on them, in hindsight, not looking awesome so far. Everyone knows my feelings on Oliver. Won't beat that dead horse. You are correct here. I think we're pretty solid at CB moving forward. Can't guarantee White bounces back to All-Pro level, but if he's going to get close to that, it will happen next year. After him we have two young CB's on rookie contracts for the next 3 years... both have potential. Disagree with you on Knox. He's above average.. and I think still has another level to get to depending on usage.
  17. Hit on another Rousseau and I’ll never criticize them going after pass rushers early. They better be right though. Fanbase justifiably has zero patience for another rotational DE like Epenesa and Basham early while we ask Allen to do everything.
  18. CB1 is not a glaring need .. in fact, there is zero reason we should be drafting a corner. White, Elam, Benford and Jackson are all under contract .. the first 3 for multiple seasons beyond this year. LG is a need. If a guy like O’Cyrus Torrence is there at our pick, just do it. He could be a pro-bowl caliber player for the next decade at that position. WR2 is 1 or 1A in need along with the previously mentioned IOL. Need #3 is the position of whoever doesn’t come back between Edmunds and Poyer.
  19. I most certainly will not. Kidding.. a bit... Personally, I'd be shocked if he doesn't play in the Divisional Round (should we get past Miami on Sunday) 1) He knows this team has a chance to win the Super Bowl 2) He doesn't seem to have any physical or mental limitations. He's been consistent in saying he wants to play if/when the doctors clear him. 3) He likely knows this may be his last chance to play with Po. Those two have a bond, and you know he wants to be there to make a run at a ring with him.
  20. These are our 5 best WR's. McKenzie is capable of having a big game here and there, but I don't see how we don't have both Brown and Beasley active. Brown was a blur on Sunday and made an incredible catch for a TD. He's a pure outside WR, with speed, which is definitely helpful. Beasley worked his defender on the red zone route, for what should have been a TD if Allen puts it on him against Cincy. I think you need to have him active for the trust factor in big moments. Shakir was a great/lucky play by the DB away from having 2 catches for 45 yards and a TD against the Pats. Allen looks like he potentially trusts him in now. That RAC was unlike anything I've seen from a Bills WR in a while. Diggs & Davis are obviously playing. I don't rule out having 6 WR's active, and it may just end up being Shakir inactive as he's a rookie... but I like Diggs, Davis, Brown, Beasley & Shakir as a group.
  21. I wonder/hope that Brown gave them some confidence to roll out packages with Diggs & Brown outside, with Davis in the slot.
  22. Up until this year, I had full faith and trust in how our staff handles the secondary. They could literally do whatever they want and I'd be like.. ok, you know best. This year... I've lost some of that faith. From a fan's point of view, the musical chairs at CB has been absolutely bizarre. How anyone could make any judgment on what Kaiir Elam is, is beyond me. The mistake he made in playing the ball last week should have been mistakes made earlier in the year, with time to learn from.. as rookies do.
  23. Same - I have a place in Buckhead, about 15 minutes from MB. I see Bills gear all the time in North Metro.
  24. Why does anyone care who plays for Miami? What legitimacy do you need? Just get a win. KC is playing exactly nobody this weekend.
  25. While we’re in a decent spot short term and long term, this is why we can’t just “Pay Po” and it’s also why we should look at trading guys like Oliver and/or Davis before they walk for nothing. I don’t mind Davis for WR3 money, but I fear his number will be WR2 range. Oliver, as of now, I’d trade him for a 2nd without thinking twice.
