I hope that Beane makes a big move right when FA is officially open.

I think he’s worth a shot. He’s got elite potential, but yes, has underperformed on bad offenses. 5M cap hit this year, plus 5th year option. We have two years at a manageable cap hit to see if he’s that WR2 with the ability to be the lead dog down the line. -

Agreed. I wouldn’t fault them if they’re comfortable with Dawkins-Bates-Morse-McGovern-Brown with Doyle and Boettger heading into the draft. That starting 5 has some potential, but I say that with the assumption they are targeting RT at 27. Getting a high end Tackle to compete with Brown and then drafting a G/C in the middle rounds would really make me confident in how they addressed OL this off-season. As to where we stand now … Bills need to upgrade WR2 and then decide if Davis is their WR3, is he in future plans, is he a potential trade piece? Hopkins, OBJ or Jeudy would be a game changer in giving Allen the type of talent Mahomes and Burrow have. Make a move at WR2 and this off-season takes on a very different energy. As of now.. where we currently stand.. I feel like we’re still AFCE favorites (Rodgers/Jets included), but it’s a dogfight with them and Miami … and we’re still a slight notch talent-wise below KC and CIN, dependent upon Allen to be otherworldly to close the gap. -
I think I’m fine with McKenzie as WR5 Diggs FA or Draft Pick Davis Shakir McKenzie We could certainly use the 2-3M he frees up, but having McKenzie as WR5.. a guy who’s made plays in this league and has been with Josh since jump, isn’t the worst insurance to have. However, I also recognize that Hines as RB3 and McKenzie as WR5 is pretty redundant, especially for a rookie OC that showed zero creativity in using gadget pieces last year. Tough call… I can go either way on him.

If we get Dane Jackson back for 2.7M, I’ll take it. He’s good depth and a spot starter that can hold it down pretty well, comparatively to CB depth in the league. Given the strength of this FO in drafting Day 3 secondary players, I’d almost rather they just let Dane walk and draft a guy to be CB4 .. unless the plan truly is to transition Benford to Safety .. in which case having Dane back as primary depth makes a lot of sense.

I don’t want to spend on defense, but Chauncey Gardner Johnson would be a welcome attitude on this defense.

Bills reportedly interested in Jamaal Williams

An upgrade or just cheap … Devin is the perfect mix of meh and will cost a few mil. Furthermore, how does that dynamic with James Cook even work? It’s just awkward if he comes back. -

Bills mulling what to do with Devin Singletary ….nope, don’t like that. -
Same. Other than OBJ, that seems like it may drag on, D Hop is the only WR .. imo.. that would elicit a player feeling the need to tweet out a LAMP.

I love how you find something wrong with every WR, yet get annoyed at the offense-first fan contingent for not wanting to spend more defensive $$$ on old LB’s or a broken down Safety that doesn’t even want to be here anymore. Yes, I’d much rather spend the money we have left of Hopkins or OBJ (not at 20M) .. or trade for Jerry Jeudy, who oozes potential and has never played with a guy like Josh Allen. God forbid we take a swing for our franchise QB…

So we go from rangy light coverage MLB to “downhill thumper”? … ok, random .. good thing we drafted Bernard last year, who is the opposite of that.

Jordan Poyer Discussion - Does he stay?
SCBills replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why not? We get Von back at some point. Tre White now has a year under his belt post-injury. Hyde is back. Why should we be the ones that overpay for Poyer? -
AFCE meet AFCW Bills / Chiefs Jets / Chargers Dolphins / Broncos Patriots / Raiders Man up and be a better team for it. KC dominated that division once again last year, will probably do it again this year. If Beane makes smart decisions this off-season, no reason we shouldn't win the East again as well.
