  1. Im about as fine as I could be with the OL after we didn’t address Tackle in any meaningful way this off-season. Kept young, upside players who outplayed veteran stop-gap depth. At least I can hope Van Demark at LT and Anderson at RT step up if needed .. and on a cap strapped roster, provide good developmental depth for years to come. MLB is where I’d really like to see something done via trade or a flyer on Kirksey/Jones.
  2. WGR speculation of a trade 🙂 Basham for a potato 🙃
  3. This one stings because it's one of the picks that really makes fans start to think they are smarter than those running the team. 90% of the fanbase HATED this pick. And not irrationally.. it was based off his measurables, tape, projection, upside etc.. Here we are, two years later, and we basically gave him away to save 1M. Very frustrating.
  4. They didn't though.. So much of a GM/HC success is based off hitting on a QB. Hit on a QB, and then all of a sudden the owner is willing to spend... build a contender and all of a sudden talented vet FA's are willing to sign for a bit less to play on your team... and so on... If Beane didn't hit on Josh Allen, I highly doubt he or McDermott are still here. And that's not an indictment on them.. it's just how it works. It's why Douglas/Salah really need Rodgers to work out, because they already blew it with Zack Wilson, despite all the other strong picks/decisions.
  5. I will say that Cook, Kincaid and Torrence "could" start to trend this discussion in a better direction.
  6. I worry about RT, both starter and depth, but I have to admit that I really like the rest of this OL. Bills have the following guys locked down for multiple years: -McGovern (OG) -Torrence (OG) -Bates (OG/C) -Anderson (OG/C/RT) -Van Demark (LT) -Dawkins (LT) -Brown (RT) All guys that are solid and/or with upside. Very happy that it seems the FO is done with the band-aid veteran options being brought in to protect Josh Allen.
  7. Wild how little they thought of Boogie Basham after two years that our star pass rusher will likely miss the first 5-8 games and we still traded him for essentially nothing.
  8. Can't argue with this. Hopefully McDermott dials up some pressure as DC, but we really need Rousseau to make the jump this year if we want to have a strong pass rush without Von. Leonard Floyd is really good, but not a top dog pass rusher. If Rousseau is also just really good... we'll have a good/not great pass rush. Mainly because Ed Oliver has not shown that he can be that dude from the DT position. The potential is there for this to be an elite pass rush, even without Von, but it's dependent upon Rousseau and Oliver.
  9. We saw what this DL looked like last year when Von went down. It wasn't good enough with Boogie as part of the rotation. I have issues with some of what the Bills do, but signing Floyd is not one of them.
  10. I'm actually of the opposite opinion. Some of these moves the Bills are making come across encouraging to me.. especially if they went with a young/upside Alec Anderson over Quessenberry and a young/upside Kingsley Jonathan over ol' edge setting Shaq Lawson.
  11. It wasn't. It's conveniently left out when people discuss Creed Humphrey. I think the discourse around him was that we could have him play Guard until Morse moves on, but who knows if Humphrey would be any good at OG. That said.. He was the best Center in the draft and we knew Morse only has a few years left, plus the concussion history.. Could've drafted a 10 year fixture at Center for Josh Allen while moving off the cap hit for Morse. What I do know is that Bills fans overwhelmingly hated the Boogie pick... just like they overwhelmingly have criticized the RD3 RB/LB picks. Beane really needs Bernard or Williams to be the long term MLB, because the Day 2 picks have been horrendous (and yes I include Singletary because he is a JAG and always has been). Hopefully with Cook and Torrence, our Day 2 fortunes are turning around.
  12. No GM views MLB as more important than DT.. except for maybe the Ravens and Bears.
  13. GM hit on an elite QB and has an owner with some of the deepest pockets in the NFL. Beane is a good GM.. talented eye for Day 3 players and is solid in FA acquisitions/cap management, but these bad misses on premium draft picks are adding up.
  14. Clearly Boogie was going to get cut so we got anything we could for him... which is basically a bag of potatoes. What an awful pick .. and so many fans knew it was awful from jump. Ugh...
  15. There's a wide range of possibilities between re-sign Edmunds to a cap crippling contract and draft two OLB's to compete with backup MLB's.
  16. I don’t think Sal is connected like that, at least he always says he’s not .. but he name dropped Elam quite a bit as a trade candidate a few minutes ago on WGR.
  17. Espenosa and Bedford are going to be important for the defense this year.
  18. In fairness, the contract isn’t bad. Bills have easy outs in it. But I do agree .. I will have zero patience if Ed Oliver is out there d***ing around while Von gets healthy.
  19. I know Tua is on a rookie deal, but they have to be getting close to the end of the road with these mega trades and massive deals, no?
  20. I’ll be honest, if Damar didn’t go through what he went through, I think our Safety room would be Hyde, Poyer, Rapp and Cam Lewis … instead of this game where we have to carry 5 safeties for some reason.
  21. Seems like pre-season games were cancelled for the equivalent of the Dane Jackson injury from earlier last season.
  22. Unless someone is dumb enough to trade us a starting caliber OT for one of our depth CB’s, this idea of trading Benford, Jackson or Elam is a hard pass for me. Even from a future thinking roster building perspective, Jackson is on a one year deal, and we have quite enough one year on their deal guys to worry about after this season, without adding more by moving cheap contracts on multi-year deals that can step in for them if we look to fill other positions in the off-season.
  23. My feelings heading into Week One.. Bills, Jets and Dolphins rosters around the QB are all pretty similar. All very talented with different strengths, weaknesses and question marks. Bills have the elite QB, while Rodgers is in the tier below. Tua is hoping to climb into that Rodgers/Herbert/Lamar/Hurts tier if he can stay healthy. Things I need to see to believe.. Jets: Is their defense truly as dominant as it looked last year? How does Rodgers look with some nice weapons but a mediocre at best OL? Dolphins: Can Tua stay healthy, can the OL protect him and can he avoid being exposed as more of a scheme QB? How does the Defense look without Ramsey and under Fangio in his first year? Bills: Can the OL make a jump and protect Allen? Last regular season game and preseason game against strong DL’s leaves me in wait and see mode against the Jets. Can the Defense, which is very talented on paper, get after good QB’s without Von? Maybe he plays Week 1, but if he doesn’t, or if he’s on a limited snap count, I need to see the DL give play warranting it’s investment against good QB play.
  24. Yes, I see propaganda. Regardless of how you feel, our media’s role is not to root for a side in such a way that it affects their reporting, thus cosplaying like it’s a Hollywood war flick. Our media has fallen for fake story after fake story… they suppress any talk regarding the history of Ukraine/Russia, areas like the Donbas & corruption within the country. They barely question our country for blank checks and unsupervised spending. We have no idea what’s actually going on over there because positive developments for Ukraine are reported on while negative developments are downplayed. Western media is simply an extension of the government when it comes to war.
  25. Im sorry, is an entire media apparatus pushing pro-Ukraine propaganda daily across every major news outlet not enough for you?
