Now he’s gone. And now they’re furious.

It’s just nonstop… mainly teachers. Shocking, I know.. A quick scroll of X and you’ll come across 20 of them. All exposed by various RW accounts. All linked to their employer. All employers pages flooded with hundreds, thousands of demands for the firing of said individual. Updates from the school, hospital etc., that the person has been fired hours later. and repeat. Never seen anything like this in my life.

Fwiw.. while I do believe in freedom of speech and credit Democrats crackdown on speech during Covid as a huge turning point to pushing me right.. I also would call for the firing of anyone if a Hasan Piker was killed and a conservative teacher, nurse etc was cheering it. Its ghoulish, inhumane behavior that has no place in a civilized society.

It’s honestly insane how many teachers and nurses are comfortable being literal demons in public about this. Even more insane how they didn’t stop to think that there would be consequences for being such.

Appreciate this post. But it’s really not a both sides thing.. at least not to an equal extent..

I honestly don’t think there can be unity anymore. I don’t mean this in a “I hate all people to the left of me” type of way. I have clients and friends who are on the left and we talk politics, disagree, but at the end of the day.. truly care about each other. I think that is most of America, despite the fringes on each side. That said.. those fringes are growing.. and the differences we share are irreconcilable in society. This isn’t tax policy debate or whatever milquetoast difference R’s and D’s had in the 1960’s. These differences are fundamentally incompatible with each other. And I’ve seen, and know, that there are people in my life who are happy Charlie Kirk was assassinated. And if they are happy he was assassinated, what does that say about how they view me? Does it matter to them that we’re acquaintances, family, have shared a friendship? Because I believe, and say, quite a bit of what Charlie Kirk believed. And if you hate him that much for what he believes.. why would it be any different for me? I don’t want to be around those people any longer. There are plenty of Democrats that I like.. but there is a growing segment of that party that views me the same as Charlie Kirk because I voted for Trump or have conservative values. I don’t want to be around them.. and I don’t want them in my community, spreading their demented views and trying to legislate and control the values of my state & local government. They’d probably feel the same about me.

The sheer number of NFL athletes posting tribute to Charlie Kirk.. I’m not sure anyone knew how influential this man was. It took his death to reveal his immense reach. I don’t know what comes next, but what I do know is he was massive amongst Gen Z.. and he was also the most tame influencer they listen to. Hard to imagine what replaces him in the void isn’t something much more heavy handed.

He absolutely was, and it’s not even close. Just admit you know nothing about him.
