THE ROCKPILE REVIEW – At the One-Quarter Mark
SoCal Deek replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Your post got me to thinking because I know exactly how you feel…..so I looked it up. The Bills have played 16 quarters of football this season. They’ve scored points in 15 of the 16. (The lone exception was the second quarter on Sunday.) I’d say 15 of 16 is pretty darn amazing. -
Cornell has ‘huge football fans’? Who knew? 😉
-
If he doesn’t know we’re playing the Patriots at HOME this Sunday, how much stock can I put in his weekly picks? 😳

All of that may be true, but it doesn’t stop me from getting an ulcer watching them….BY DESIGN! 😉

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW – At the One-Quarter Mark
SoCal Deek replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well done Shaw. I have to admit that I hadn’t ever considered the lack of preseason as well as you summarized it here. The first four games have lined up nicely for our Bills and if you look around the league it’s obvious that many other ‘good’ teams have yet to get their feet completely under them. -
Shouldn’t an MIT professor be working on the physics required to sustain humans on other planets?

Look! If you’re going to quote actual statistics instead of ranting with nothing to back it up, maybe you need to find a more appropriate venue. Just saying.

We’re all disappointed. It’s compounded by the general perception of the D Line performance to date. Let’s face it; if the DL is underperforming it’s hard to see how this kid could be much worse.

It’s obviously too early for the label but I’d say that being healthy but never getting on the field is the literal definition of a bust.

Bad Bunny will be the Super Bowl halftime act
SoCal Deek replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
So that settles it! I’m NOT going to the Super Bowl this year. Thanks NFL….. I was really hoping to see the Bills lift the Lombardi. -
If you’re moving to California you’re gonna find it needs a bit of work.

If Only They Could Tackle..It's Not Just the Coaching
SoCal Deek replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was just about to say our Linebackers are too small, but then I see this skinny kid make an impressive tackle for the Packers on third down. Maybe scrawny is the new stout! 🤷🏼♂️ -

The penalties are out of control! McD has to get himself tossed! -
Fake news! I was told numerous times on here that Spencer Brown was a definite bust. 😉

That is NOT holding!

Murray has to have the smallest feet of anyone in the NFL. They’re freakishly tiny.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
SoCal Deek replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not a stupid question at all….Large projects like the stadium or my movie theater example are most often built by a General Contractor (GC). The GC doesn’t provide any of the labor or material, but rather manages and supervises Trade Subcontractors who do the actual construction. They hire Subs for every aspect of the project from grading through final finishes and all are under the direction of, and paid by, the GC. This is not the case on many speculative commercial projects in the retail and office space sectors, where tenants often aren’t designated until after the shell is in place. In those instances a Tenant Improvement (T.I.) contractor is later hired by the tenant themselves to outfit the interior of the shell. Hope that helps. -

Funny you mention that. Many years ago I designed a large cinema right outside Disneyland. We opened it for Batman with Heath Ledger as the joker. The fire alarm went off very near the end of the film causing the building to be evacuated….and so to this day I have no idea how that movie ends. 😂 -
Ravens at Chiefs - who do you want to have their third loss?
SoCal Deek replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s a long season and while at this point it’s really difficult to say which outcome will be better for the Bills, it’s worth noting that in two weeks the Ravens host the Rams and the Chiefs host the Lions. It’s not gonna be getting any easier for the loser of this Sunday’s game. One of these teams could very possibly be 2-4 by then.
