  1. It shows you just how fickle the entire draft process is. Lots and lots of moving parts.
  2. I’ve said repeatedly that I’m no draft expert but just like every other Mock that I look at, I immediately go to the guys the Bills did NOT take who were available just a few picks later. In this case the Bills draft class would instead be: Nolen DT Ole Miss Porter, DB Iowa State Winslow, S Penn State Anybody?
  3. Traditionally the ceremony signifies the final major beam being lifted into place.
  4. This! All that matters is production for the team you’re on. Cook is simply average playing for the Bills. That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be great elsewhere…but the Bills simply don’t use him that way.
  5. Anyone know what the 15th and 17th ranked running backs make? As I said yesterday, Cook was 16th. Right behind Joe Mixon and just above Chase Brown.
  6. As I’ve often said I am definitely NOT a draft expert…but looking at the websites of those that apparently are it’s hard for me to believe that the Bills cannot find THREE solid starters out of our three picks in the first 62. Both DT and CB appear to have players that slot perfectly into when we’re on the clock. And that then leaves the third pick to go get a contributor at WR, DE at yet another position of need. Don’t screw this up!
  7. I’m not sure how this discussion got to where it is. Cook was SIXTEENTH in the league last year in rushing and averaged just a little over 60 yards per game. What is that level of production (or lack there of) worth in 2025? I’m guessing it isn’t worth anywhere near what James Cook apparently thinks it is.
  8. It’s an excellent question. I believe you’re referring to the structural frame of the ‘building’. There are many reasons for choosing one over the other. It may be nothing more than the availability of local tradesmen and materials. Steel tends to be lighter and erection is much faster with the beams and columns being fabricated offsite. Steel also tends to be more conducive to larger open concourse areas. And believe it or not it’s sometimes just what the design team members (architects and engineers) are more comfortable with and accustomed to. Keep in mind that the new stadium indeed has plenty of concrete. The seating risers are all precast treads and risers.
  9. Now they need to have the players wear special lenses that allow them to see the line to gain, projected across the field. 👍
  10. There simply isn’t that much to keep. The lower bowl is built right up against the ground. Only the two sideline upper decks are true above grade structures. I’m guessing the office building at the east end would be saved.
  11. CB and DT. DT and CB. In the end the order won’t mean much. The Bills need to get two starters out of those first two picks….period!
  12. One day Cook is going to figure out that foundering on a team with little to no chance of playing meaningful games in December and January isn’t worth the extra cash. You only get one career. In the end, your accomplishments mean way more to you than the pay check.
  13. If you read earlier, I suggested a suspension not a fine. The suspension would include the loss of a game check. THAT would indeed curtail it.
  14. Jack, it can be a bit deceiving at this point in the progress. What you’re seeing is the metal DECKING not the ROOFING. So it’s not yet weatherproof. There are still gaps between each deck section and thousands of holes in the decking itself. Not to mention that the V shaped design funnels water to a yet to be installed gutter and downspout system.
  15. Sounds right. The closer your seats get to the leading edge of the roof the more chance that wind blown rain will get to you. Remember, that roof is MANY stories above your seat and unless it’s completely calm out (which it rarely is when a weather front is moving through) you could get wet. Your best bet is to sit on the west side of the upper deck as most fronts come from the lake.
  16. I’m not advocating for it. I’m arguing against the leagues solution. The penalty should be levied against the PLAYER, not against the TEAM.
  17. Relax Einstein. It’s a message board about a football team. It’s not the Kennedy assassination files. 😉 In the larger scheme of things does it really matter what the exact percentage is? While I’ve not sat through the seat selection presentation I’m pretty sure the Bills office is able to tell you whether the particular seat you’re considering is under the roof. No? And do you really care how many other seats are besides the one you’re sitting in? I apologize if I sound frustrated but I really don’t see how this is so important to anyone.
  18. A few, for sure, but less than you think. It’s quite common to install glazing pretty early on. It’s necessary to control the temperature and humidity inside the enclosed spaces so that more climate-sensitive materials can begin installation.
  19. Wait, you don’t think the architects know EXACTLY how many seats are under the roof? They most definitely do. And I’m pretty darn certain that’s where the Bills got the figure.
  20. Yes I’m sure the architects are part of some larger marketing conspiracy.
  21. There’s clearly no room for it anywhere! Seems to me that penalizing the team is the wrong solution. I’d suggest a four game suspension without pay…or worse.
  22. And so not letting them make some ridiculously juvenile gang sign does what exactly? Sounds to me like they need to change the end zone sign to “no room for gang affiliations”.
  23. Is the implication that there are some NFL players who are active members of a street gang? Really?
  24. How many times are we going to go over this? You cannot gauge the depth of the overhang from these photos. The stadium cross section drawings have been presented numerous times. The overhang extends out over the entirety of the upper deck. Period! (And because the upper deck has a larger circumference than the lower deck each row there has many more seats than the corresponding row in the lower deck.) Finally, Tottenham has an additional cantilevered extension of translucent material beyond the metal deck roof that covers the entirety of the seating bowl while still allowing diffused natural light to get to the natural grass field.
