  1. The penalties are out of control! McD has to get himself tossed!
  2. Fake news! I was told numerous times on here that Spencer Brown was a definite bust. 😉
  3. That is NOT holding!
  4. Murray has to have the smallest feet of anyone in the NFL. They’re freakishly tiny.
  5. Not a stupid question at all….Large projects like the stadium or my movie theater example are most often built by a General Contractor (GC). The GC doesn’t provide any of the labor or material, but rather manages and supervises Trade Subcontractors who do the actual construction. They hire Subs for every aspect of the project from grading through final finishes and all are under the direction of, and paid by, the GC. This is not the case on many speculative commercial projects in the retail and office space sectors, where tenants often aren’t designated until after the shell is in place. In those instances a Tenant Improvement (T.I.) contractor is later hired by the tenant themselves to outfit the interior of the shell. Hope that helps.
  6. Funny you mention that. Many years ago I designed a large cinema right outside Disneyland. We opened it for Batman with Heath Ledger as the joker. The fire alarm went off very near the end of the film causing the building to be evacuated….and so to this day I have no idea how that movie ends. 😂
  7. It’s a long season and while at this point it’s really difficult to say which outcome will be better for the Bills, it’s worth noting that in two weeks the Ravens host the Rams and the Chiefs host the Lions. It’s not gonna be getting any easier for the loser of this Sunday’s game. One of these teams could very possibly be 2-4 by then.
  8. If we’re picking at 32 it means I’ll have died of a heart attack, so I’ll add our draft needs to the long list of things I’m not going to worry about. 😉
  9. Missing in all these well thought out responses is any mention of the OPs citing that the CFL’s end zones will be changed to be ‘closer’ to the size of the NFL’s. Exactly what size will they be? Maybe something like 15.6943 yards deep? What does that work out to in meters?
  10. Yes, I would. Especially since you can pick seats just a couple seats further from the aisle and avoid the issue altogether.
  11. I’ll root for the Ravens in this one. The Chiefs have proven they can turn it on come playoff time. We could use them to dig themselves a really deep hole. The Ravens, not so much.
  12. I still find him that way. 😉
  13. They may indeed be. But that’s not unusual if you sit in the front row of any stadium. It’s required by the Building Code. However….with regards to the renderings, keep in mind much depends on the height of the view angle established by the architect’s animation.
  14. They’re not 100% accurate, but they’re pretty close.
  15. If you want to be in commercials you have to put in the work that’s required to be in commercials. It’s no different than anything else. With that said, why does anyone think that Lamar wants to be in commercials? Has he expressed an interest? Has he taken the steps to get there? What if he just wants to be a really good football player? There’s nothing wrong with that.
  16. I know exactly where I’m at. I’m at home….how about you?
  17. This is a stadium/crowd management issue as much as a design problem. So long as the aisle ushers are asked to control the times when fans are allowed to come up the stairs (for example NOT after the play has started) the ‘obstruction’ should be minimized. BTW… the ushers try to do that now at the existing stadium.
  18. Ya see? He did change the Texans prediction. A week late, but he came around.
  19. Is this really a thread topic? Playing sports and performing on commercials are two completely different skill sets. Some things translate but others just do not. Like most things in life; it’s simply not that complicated.
  20. The Ravens look like a team that has lost it, mentally. Coach needs to gather those guys.
  21. Where’s Saragusa when the Ravens need him? They could use a big fat guy in the middle.
  22. Hilarious! On the ground level replay of the 72 yard run you can clearly see the running back looking at the big end zone scoreboard to see who’s chasing him and which way he should cut.
