I know it's not technically a rule, but it's been done before in college, specifically for throwing things onto the field (sadly, it was against my school) - Here's one for snowballs, against Colorado State (after a warning was given) - Thankfully, they don't do this anymore... threatening the fans for too much crowd noise - Even if there's no official rule, I believe this is how it would go down - 1) Fans are warned over PA 2) If it continues, game is paused & delayed as long as possible while security tries to make an example of some people 3) Play resumes, but with a warning from refs 4) Officials make the call to penalize the home team 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct (or even delay of game) 5) After game, NFL makes a statement that says "oops, technically not a rule," and apologizes, but nothing can be done to fix it. They'll continue on about player/fan safety, blah blah blah, but it's too late at this point. If there's one thing we know about officiating, it's that the league will sometimes admit to bad calls, but it will NEVER change the actual on-field results.

While you're technically correct in that you're more likely to find a reliable #1 in the 1st or 2nd rounds, there are quite a few top WRs selected 3rd round or later. It's just that there are so many colleges, being able to thoroughly scout every individual is impossible. At this point, targeting a specific skillset, regardless of what school they played at, may be key to hitting on a great WR. Fair, I'm not from the area & have only ever visited several times. But any time I've gone there it has not left a great impression. Even worse is when you stare across the falls & see the Canadian side in direct contrast. A little patriotic flame burns in your heart & makes you a bit agitated the area is allowed to look so dilapidated in view of our northern neighbors.

I saw a post last night citing: - Changed OT rules for Allen when they wouldn't do it for Mahomes - Cancelled game they were losing against Cincy because of an injury - Changed home field rules to neutral site if Bills won divisional round - Switched Miami/Buffalo home & away schedule because Bills complained about the heat - Throw flags for Allen any time he flops or complains - Call back game winning TD for a offensive off sides when they never called it all game - Postponed playoff game to allow Allen a better chance passing I can't remember the other nonsense, but I remember these bullet points. Of course, the post had a ton of responses trying to add context, but it's easier for most people to like & move on.

At this point, I think it's a confidence/mental thing. The Bills have the template. Hell, they might've created it. They're 3-1 in their last 4 match ups, all in Arrowhead, with the only blowout being in favor of the Bills. So they know they CAN beat the Chiefs. But is the moment too big? Is the anticipation & pressure too much? Now you've got another opportunity, with the entire season building towards this moment. Will it be too much for the Bills? Will it be too much for Allen? At home, in front of tens of thousands of screaming Bills fans placing their hopes & decades of emotional baggage on you, can they overcome the 2 x champs or shrink in the moment? Or will you be caught looking ahead & lose to the Steelers before even getting the chance? Tune in tomorrow & find out!

I don't think this is a hot take, but I enjoy the division WAY more when both the Bills & Dolphins are good (using "good" loosely here). During the 2 decades before Allen, there weren't many AFCE rivalries to get excited about, and certainly none involving Buffalo. The Dolphins & Pats had moments, but it was more of a "Brady doesn't beat us quite AS often as he beats the Bills & Jets." Rex Ryan tried to get things going with the Jets & Bills, but he was mostly a paper tiger. But when having both the Bills & Dolphins finish #1 & #2 atop the division for 3 straight seasons & both making the postseason the last 2, it's really made the fans start investing in the division, inflamed the back-and-forth banter and has the players keeping receipts! All waaaaay more fun for fans than simply starting each year saying "Ok, we're already down 0-2 because of the Pats, so we just need to go 10-4 from here!" 😅

Everyone online thinks the league is fixed in favor of the Bills... Only problem is they were saying the same stuff last year after Damar, and yet somehow the Bills lost in the divisional round? Hopefully this year they're right! If the Bills & Allen are league favorites, that script better see the Bills get a damn Super Bowl victory this season! 😁

If he's the genius I think he is, he should just cut his losses now & take over as OC for the Bills. Going from HC of Tua & the Dolphins to the OC of Josh Allen & the Bills has to be a promotion, right? 😁

Seems like a lot of fans on here didn't watch much of CJ Stroud this year, outside of box scores & highlights. He hasn't played like a rookie all year, so there's no reason to think he'd buckle under the pressure at this point. Just wishful thinking, but a far more dangerous QB than Flacco.

I agree, but he also was a pretty good coach with strong ties to NE. He was also Coach of the Year just 2 seasons ago, and coached them to 4 straight winning, 3 playoff appearances, the number 1 seed, and made an AFCCG.... with Ryan Tannehill at QB. Then again, that was mostly off the back of Derek Henry, but that's still impressive in a pass-happy league!

Shakir has been great in his role, though I still think we should be looking for more speed at this point. Diggs, Davis, Shakir, etc. aren't "slow" or anything, it's just that we don't have that true burner that can easily go over the top of a defense. Not saying we need the next Tyreek Hill or DK Metcalf, but even a younger, more consistent John Brown would be great. I have nothing to add to this post, but I'm determined to read & comment on every thread on the page 1.... Don't judge me, I have a 3 day weekend & it's cold outside ok?! 🙃

Oh wow, I remember that article! In fact, it highly influenced my opinion at the time! You gotta remember the feel of the Bills as an organization at that point though. Sure, we made the playoffs & broke the curse that season, but for 17 years prior we watched floundering offenses lead by some pitiful-to-average QBs. I was convinced this organization just couldn't develop QBs, even if they got a good one. So when you see a QB with average college stats, accuracy issues, getting killed against all the bigger schools, and not even being a top QB in his own minor conference, suddenly start popping up in mock drafts as a 1st round pick because of "prototype size, cannon arm, project and POTENTIAL," you get concerned. I thought there was no chance the Bills could develop a guy, and that their best shot was lucking into a ready-to-play miracle off the bat. Thankfully, that was the OLD Bills, and I was proven very, very wrong.

I was never quite sure how much you can glean from just talking with a former great player, though Cook needs something to get him going again. Outside of the Cowboys game, he hasn't really been doing much rushing the ball to end the season. Thankfully he's been good in passing situations, just needs to stop dropping passes that hit him right in the hands!

100% agree, and it makes me even more annoyed that all of this could've been figured out sooner had they just bit the bullet earlier. Hundred million dollar renovation band-aids, and kicking the can further down the line put us in a position where we would get less for the cost. Even accounting for inflation, construction costs & materials have all went up dramatically, as has everything post-COVID. Remember when AT&T Stadium was completed in 2009? People thought it was one of the most insane venues in the world, it spared no expense in amenities, seating (80,000 game day, expandable to 105,000), and with luxury everything. Accounting for cost over-runs & adjusting for inflation, they spent $1.84 billion. Or more recently, the Vikings got their indoor venue US Bank Stadium for $1.34 billion adjusted for inflation. Yes, I'm aware New York taxes make everything more expensive, but it's still crazy to see $1.7 billion spent on a stadium, only for it not to have a closed roof, lower capacity, and presumably cost significantly more for tickets. All that whining aside, it's still going to provide a more comfortable & nicer environment for fans, as well as help keep the team firmly rooted in Buffalo. So for that, thanks NY taxpayers, and thanks Kim & Terry!

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit jealous... It's crazy what a lame franchise like the Titans can scrape together versus what a tenured, legacy AFL franchise gets (I don't care if they claim to be the Oilers, they're not!) 😜
