  1. That's actually a pretty good deal for them. Not a ton of guaranteed money, get a talented WR. Probably not so great for Maye though. Diggs is going to overpower him with his "desire to win" REAL quick 🤣
  2. It's easy to think that, but Andy Reid is a better coach than Marv, and Mahomes is a much better QB than Kelly. I think KC would beat the Giants for sure, 50/50 with the Redskins, then split with the Cowboys. But we'll never know, so they just as easily could've lost all 4.
  3. Isn't a large chunk of that Josh himself?
  4. Of course he does. The idea of a "hometown discount" is a fan expectation, not an NFL reality. When you play better than the large majority of players in the league (and at the hardest position), you should expect to be paid better than those other guys.
  5. I mean, he did have 6 really good or great seasons before the last 2 being ruined by injuries. We had Takeo Spikes as a "Legend of the Game" last year, and he only had 2 healthy seasons with Buffalo. If Matt can have a bounce-back year & play like he used to, I'd say 7 good seasons is worth consideration. But for now, I also lean "no" on the WOF thing.
  6. Probably, but only if he's given WAY more talent at WR & TE. Look at Allen's stats in 2020 when we had prime Stefon Diggs & Cole Beasley. He still ran quite a bit, but only 421 rush yards & 8 TDs, and much, much fewer designed runs. He was definitely still scrambling, but that's when you saw the change of him always looking downfield & to pass first. As time went on & our OL sucked, he was forced to run around quite a bit more. Combine that with the fact that guys were getting older, we had less weapons outside of Diggs, no real run game, and different OC's, the need to use Josh's legs more increased. But I think with this O-line & a RB like James Cook, the only thing stopping Josh from becoming primarily a pocket passer is talent at outside WR & speed to stretch the field. He'll never be the most accurate & timing-based QB, but Allen's taken a big leap in how he processes defenses. I'm no longer concerned about him locking onto his first read, being uncomfortable making audibles or diagnosing pressure & where to go. He gets it, so really all that needs to change is having the right personnel.
  7. Really? You have no idea why most people don't want to sit in rain or freezing temps or a snow storm for over 3 hours?
  8. I knew he was great, but I didn't know he held that record! Was that the game where Andre Reed basically lost us the game? I was like 11 years old, but I remember him doing something that really screwed us, but haven't ever went back to revisit that when I was older.
  9. Our passing game wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. I don't think people realize how having a run game (and having a player as good as Cook) is what allowed our passing offense to be as successful as it was, despite not having a ton of talent or players that can stretch the field. If we still had Singletary & Moss, last year's success wouldn't have been possible. The run game would look like crap, and Shakir/Hollins/Samuel/Coleman would have looked abysmal. At that point, it may have been the least impressive receiving corps Allen has had since his rookie year and actually looked like it on the field. But Allen is more experienced & a much better player, paired with a great OL & good run game, so the results were much better. We can continue to have success this way, despite no star WRs, as long as we have a good RB to lean on...whether that's Cook or someone else.
  10. I'd take Cooper or Diggs back. We got a 2nd round pick for him & now he's probably cheaper than ever. Of course I'm fine with him being gone too, just saying I wouldn't be angry if they signed up.
  11. Well in terms of reactions, you have: 15 - Disagree 4 - Agree 8 - Laughing at you 1 - Crying... whatever that means. So your final sentence implies that yes, you don't know what an A+ for a manager is, as I would think an A+ manager would have widespread praise, or at least mostly people agreeing he's great.
  12. Well, that sucks... I was hoping they'd continue to penny pinch & find themselves in another Carson Palmer situation with Burrow. But since they signed 2 of the 3 big names, he's sticking around. Now if only Beane could find a way to get Josh some good WRs... We found a good RB, but apparently nobody wants to pay him.
  13. I hope not. We don't know how to utilize early round picks on D and will probably find someone that can be coached up in the later rounds anyway
  14. He gets an A++++ for finally getting rid of Elam & actually getting more than a Taco Bell coupon code in return. On the other hand, huge F for even drafting him in the first place...
  15. Hallelujah! I was worried we'd never get anything for him! Finally, the biggest bust in the Beane era is gone.
  16. Quite the patchwork team we're assembling 😅 We really have to nail this draft.
  17. Seems like everyone was seeing clearly just a few weeks ago... 😅
  18. Man, everyone seemed to agree with you at the time, but suddenly everyone is all celebrating his signing. I don't get it... We KNOW he's going to be injured & miss several games, and it's doubtful he'll give us more than 6 sacks. If he was signed for like $6 million or something, I'd be fine with it.
  19. I'm sorry, this just reminds me of when we signed another often-injured, past his prime Charger - Shawne Merriman. Thankfully, it's only one year, but he'll almost certainly give us less production than Leonard Floyd did 2 years ago, but for more money.
  20. So who will have a bigger impact? Bosa or Cook? Because people don't want to pay Cook close to this much money, yet they're fine with giving it to an often injured, about to 30 DE... with a whopping 13 sacks over the last 3 seasons. But yeah, great money spent! It makes no sense.
  21. I don't get it, why? 4 million a year for what he gave us? That looks like a steal compared to what we've paid WRs that accomplished much less.
  22. He could also see a dip in his numbers due to Allen & the system here, just as Curtis Samuel did (worst season in his career) or Amari Cooper (barely averaged 2 receptions a game). I think our system is more centered around running the ball now, which is reflected in the passing & receiving numbers being down so much (especially Josh's). Which is all the more reason I feel Cook should've been one of the first people paid, as he was our best weapon & the person to take the most pressure off of Josh.
  23. No idea, but his TDs have gone down every year since he was a rookie. 2021: 4 TDs 2022: 3 TDs 2023: 2 TDs 2024: 1 TD Here's to 0 TDs in 2025 to cap things off! 😂
  24. Neat. The one WR we get in FA every year who we all hope breaks out. Maybe this time it'll actually happen.
  25. Tisk, tisk... He should've played out his contract to give us more time to see what he can do! What if he ends up a bust like Elam? Bad move by Bills brass.
