I think the Jets are being undersold this season, personally - by everyone. Had Darnold not missed the early games last year, they likely would have been in the mix. Everyone thinks about the "ghosts" game w/ him now, but Belichick did that to all the young QB's - Mayfield, Allen, Darnold, etc. I think Darnold could still emerge as the best from that class - though we did get the right Josh. Stoked for Sunday.

This one looks fantastic. Wasn't a huge fan of the 1st, but it was passable. Good sandworms for the time period.

Is anyone else less invested in this season than normal?
Success replied to Cal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As we get closer, it's probably even more important to me than usual. Watching the other sports - it's just as tense. The NBA playoffs are insane; there is almost no difference. Even though their season was cut way short, I don't see an asterisk for the eventual winner. Same w/ MLB. This is a big season for us. When was the last time the Patriots were not clearly the best team in the division? It would be a dispiriting exercise for me to think of all of the things that have happened since the last time - things like "getting email on my handheld." Time to erase some demons. I'm 100% stoked. -
2+ decades is an awfully long wait. But it makes the payoff a lot sweeter. It's a great time to be a Bills fan.

Bills - Saints Final 4 of best fan base

Everyone knows we're the best. This isn't a competition. -
I'm one of those that always thinks we need to "earn" the respect on the field, so this stuff doesn't bother me. But it speaks to the punditry. They've become terrified to abandon past patterns when making predictions. Most will stick w/ the tried & true. I saw one power ranking that still had the Pats in the top 3.

I'm not following it as closely. But I'd add a "yet" to that. I didn't think I'd be that into the NBA, MLB or NHL games - but as they go on, I'm more tuned in. Some of the NBA playoff games have had just as much excitement - I haven't missed the crowds nearly as much as I thought I would. I think once we start watching the Bills and a few Allen to Diggs TD's, we'll be pumped. If this is the season that we truly flip the script, beat the Pats and take over the division, I don't want to look back and think I wasn't all in. I want to enjoy every second. We've waited decades for this, and I'm not going to let something microscopic change the way I feel about it. -

Making 4 Super Bowls in a row and losing is worse than not making 4 Super Bowls in a row. -
I think fans can really embarrass themselves in a situation like this. It's his decision, 100%. It should be respected. And it helps that it made Boston fans angry.

In Honor of National Chicken Wing Day - Drums or Flats?
Success replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in Off the Wall Archives
This is really equal for me. That's the beauty of a bucket of wings - you can mix it up, and get the best of both worlds. Both have wonderful attributes. If I had to live with just one or the other, it would be hard to decide. -
Patriots ruin another season for the Bills
Success replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm working on it. As long at the Patriots do no better than 4-12 for the next 2-3 decades and the Bills sweep them every year in that time, I'll be fine... -
Monty actually looked pretty amazing preseason (but yeah - so did Peterman). He bulked up, and his stuff looked crazy good. It's too bad Severino is out. He's a perfect #2 - he was never "the ace," but if he was in now, it would be one of the better starting rotations out there. As it is, it's a lot better than last year - and they came close last year (if Houston hadn't been cheating).

Huge fan. Honestly, I'm a little sad about it. I watched the game yesterday - this year's team is so stacked. There is no let-up for opposing pitchers, and Cole looked great. With both the Bills & Yankees - THIS is the season I've been waiting years for. It's kind of a bummer that the seasons are so in doubt - but I also plan to enjoy it while I can! It was great just to watch live sports again.

I was more of a jug wine guy at the beginning. But I've gotten much more snobby. I really know my Pinot from my Cabernet now. -

I mean, THAT is a life. Someone whose life & legacy both commands respect, and inspires. R.I.P. -
Any of you read the Pats message boards? They've been fascinating since Cam got signed. Fans there have turned on Brady, in a big way. It's kind of hilarious to see comments like "I'm glad he won 6, but I always thought he was a little weird" and "I was getting so tired of his me-first attitude...good luck Bucs fans." I actually realized when he left that I never hated Brady, at all. It's the Patriots I can't stand - and their lame fans.

"Cat in the Hat" is criminally underrated. Not joking at all. And she killed it in "Jerry McGuire." R.I.P. -
I've seen some great live stuff (both live & on the telly), and haven't come across too much that equals Queen's performance. I thought the Queen movie was kind of so-so, but actually cried when they got to that part. Yeah, I can admit it. I also cried during "Mighty Ducks II," so there's that.

They might actually start winning or something. Who knows.

Kind of a bummer. I feel like no matter how much we dominate in the years ahead (hopefully), it will never be enough. We could blow them out every game for 2 decades and I don't think it would begin to even things out. It would be a start, though. The really bothersome thing IS that we didn't take care of business when we were good & they were bad. Should have been more one-sided.
