  1. Again - the situation was basically the same. If the Bills somehow "choked" in the final seconds this past season then the Pats did the same in regulation in the AFCCG. The other poster was saying that BB never would have had that happen. He did. Period. Sorry that it's so hard to understand for you, but the facts are the facts.
  2. BB didn't know they were going to win the coin toss. The collapse was exactly the same. As for the former comment, the Pats beat the Bills for close to 2 decades. I'm going to enjoy every second of this "new era" for that team & its fans, and comment on it accordingly. It's fun - and like I said, what I hoped for.
  3. We actually need a goal-line guy. I'm not sure if this signing fills that - but that's what has been lacking, more than anything.
  4. I'd guess that we still draft a RB - but this is a solid pick-up and good option to have.
  5. No, I'd disagree w/ this. We actually are cool, and they are actually pathetic. Those 13 seconds actually DID happen under BB, in the 2018 AFCCG. Actually, they were 16 seconds, but who's counting. The Pats gave up almost 60 yards to Mahomes at the end of that game, in 16 seconds. KC tied the game, and the only difference was that the Pats won the coin toss in OT.
  6. I've said it before - 6 is the new 27. And I say that as a Yankees fan. But it's increasingly hilarious to see Boston fans who once ridiculed their Yankee counterparts for even mentioning 27 championships to now mention "6" in every other sentence. "I'm good, brah - I've got 6 rings under my belt."
  7. I was a big Whaley believer. But ultimately, you really can't do anything w/out a true franchise QB. I'm really grateful for this time right now. Allen makes everything possible. We had to wait a long time between Kelly & Allen, so I'm going to appreciate every second while JA is a Bill.
  8. Solid. He's one of the best backups out there.
  9. I still think it's the Chiefs & Bills, and everyone else.
  10. Are Rodgers, Brady & Prescott sure that they don't want to come to the AFC, too? Maybe Murray? The Pats get 20 years with one other good QB in the conference, and as soon as we're a contender, the conference is stacked.
  11. Their fans were all over the "hope you enjoyed your year of division dominance!" narrative after the wind game. It's already turning back into a Celtics town.
  12. Pats fans are becoming what I hoped they'd become: Yankees fans. More obsessed w/ the past than w/ their prospects in the present. 6 is the new 27.
  13. He was great his last year here. Hopefully McD & Frazier can get the best out of him. It's possible that the D won't allow any points this year.
  14. 2 years in the present is worth 20 years in the past.
  15. This thread is more designed to make fun of Patriots fans. Bills fan angst about SB's is not related to the topic.
  16. Oh, there is a TON of trying to downplay the signing, and saying that the Bills are making a huge mistake signing an older player to that long of a contract, for that kind of money. I remember that we used to do that to try to make ourselves feel better. I hear you on the graveyard. It will take a long time for me to get over the past 20 - but the last couple of years are a pretty healthy start. Oh, I can. And I will.
  17. To be fair, that's a paraphrase. But there are comments like that - the younger fans are saying all kinds of entitled stuff. Some were saying that they don't think they're going to watch anymore, or will focus more on Brady & the Bucs. The older fans are more like we'd be, since they've been through tougher years. A lot of "we'll be okay" and "we get to feel like the other 31 for awhile" stuff to try to talk the other fans down.
  18. The Pats also gave up more yards in roughly the same amount of time to KC in the AFCCG a few years ago. The only difference was that they won the OT coin toss.
  19. There are 31 other teams in the league. I'm definitely happy we got Miller. Not even thinking about Mack.
  20. It started w/ the 1st no-punt game, and really took a leap w/ the 2nd no-punt game. Now, w/ the signing of Von Miller, it's a complete meltdown over there. The comments around the boards & twitter are truly enjoyable: "We have more cap than they do - how are they signing this guy, and we're losing good players?" "We're not going to compete in the division, much less for the conference or a SB...I didn't sign up for this!," "It's not my fault that all I've known is winning...what are we supposed to do?" And the script has been flipped. We're the team that has the elite QB, that top free agents want to play with, and with the GM who plays chess. Watching what the Pats are doing so far this offseason, my guess is that BB is looking at the landscape & going in for a full 2-3 year rebuild. He knows they can't compete w/ the top teams this year. I know, I know...."they live in my head." But after 20 years, this is really fun.
  21. I'm not sure how "need" oriented Beane is in the draft yet - but I'd be surprised if we didn't go w/ a CB or OL in the 1st.
  22. LOVED watching him as a Bill. Never anything but 100% effort on the field - and one of the most clutch players we've had. Best of luck to him. I'll root for him wherever he goes (well, except the team that shall not be named).
  23. It's pretty clear at this point: we're no longer doing "Moneyball."
  24. This offseason really tells us everything we need to know about Beane. He's not going to stop until the Bills get the title. He's focused, and relentless.
