A Few Thoughts about the Raiders Game, in no particular order
Success replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
More Murray! More Harris! Cook is great, but for any north/south situations, Dorsey should use the other guys more. Harris made a splash w/ every opportunity he had yesterday. I actually thought he might be RB1 heading into the season, and think he is being underutilized so far. Great write-up & insights.. -
Pats fans online are outraged by that final overturn on the spot of the ball. No WAY there was any evidence. When they did the freeze frame, it was pretty obvious. When his knee hit the ground, the ball wasn't at the marker.

Man, I just love watching the Pats be mediocre. But I don't love watching how good Tua & the Phins have become. Tua is an excellent QB now. We are going to have our hands full w/ that team.

Anyone catch the Giants rushing just 1 guy for the last AZ play in that game? Still can't believe we rushed 4 against Mahomes.
-
I appreciate the attempted wet blanket, but this thread is about key contributors.

We get tagged as being "old" a lot, but it's mainly Hyde, Poyer & Miller who are getting into their '30s. Cook, Kincaid, Groot, Davis, Knox, most of the O-line, Oliver, Benford, and of course, Allen. A lot of great young players just getting into their prime on this team. Gotta love it.

To newer fans who didn't know much of the drought - enjoy this team, and enjoy days like today.

Sorry. Can't root for New England. And they're not as bad as people think. That D is legit. They could be in the division mix, imo

There was a time - long, long ago - when hot takes just weren't a thing.

I love this game. We're so, so back.

Milano is a legit superstar.

The "big 3" QB's all had bad 1st weeks. Only our guy is returning to form this week, so far.
-
Overthought that one.

Maybe he made some good points. But I don't care. He's a clown, and a joke, and a perfect example of EVERYTHING that is wrong w/ the sports media in 2023. He is a disgrace.

Jets LB fined for tripping during the OT punt return

So, we won the game. We can finally stop all of the hand-wringing. -
Every DC is going to watch what the Jets did on Monday and try to clone it. JA will adjust, because he'll have to.

Is Josh a mediocre QB right now? And does it matter?
Success replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was great last year until the UCL. -
Sorry for the non-Josh Allen thread. All offseason, we wondered how the D would be without Frazier, and w/ McD making the calls. I've never been an x's & o's guy, but what I saw was pretty encouraging.. We were all over the passer, and our line was in the backfield all day. The corners seemed to be playing a bit more press, and for the most part, locked it down. The only issue was giving up some big runs - but there were just a few of those lapses. I think our personnel is better, so it's hard to gauge (Groot is clearly taking a next step, Oliver looks better, Floyd is a great addition, etc.). There is also the consideration that the Jets O-line isn't good. What did everyone think overall?

Amnesia re: the last 20 years. Allen could easily end up a top 20 QB of all time, and maybe even top 10 w/ his skillset. He's allowed a bad game here & there. -
The WR corps is fine. Other great QB's have won titles with less. The issue in the 1st week was more the decision-making.

We will never win anything with McD here
Success replied to HomeskillitMoorman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here's the deal: McDermott is a solid coach. I don't think that is disputable. He ended the Bills drought, and we've been a contender ever since. Most Sundays, the team is well prepared, and the gameplans are good. If you don't want to settle for that, and have your sights on trying to get a "great" coach - I mean, who knows how long that might take, and if it would ever happen? Great coaches are not common. They're the anomaly. There are very few in the league right now. I just don't think you can waste JA's prime trying to find someone better. You might as easily end up with someone worse. And a last thought: Reid was viewed the same way as McD at one time, when he was in Philly..
